G Hughes Sugar Free Thai Chili Wing Sauce Wings

The days of thin, bland sugar free wing sauces have come to an end. G Hughes’ line of low carb sauces totally make you forget what’s not in them. I don’t even think of them as sugar free. I just think of them as great on wings. G Hughes Sugar Free Thai Chili wing sauce is no exception. I’ve had tons of Asian-inspired chili sauces, and this is a fantastic sauce no matter what.

G Hughes Sugar Free Thai Chili Wing Sauce

A Sweet Thai Sauce Without The Carbs

G Hughes Sugar Free Thai Chili wing sauce has just the right sweetness and just the right spiciness. I love it on wings, but it’s also delicious as a dipping sauce for shrimp or chicken nuggets. Very delicious. Do yourself a favor and get more than one bottle. You’ll want to always have one on hand!

G Hughes has a ton of sugar free sauces and other things.

Remember that if you have to refrigerate your open bottle of wing sauce to let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.

Fricker’s BBQ Wing Sauce Wings

I was cruisin’ down I-70 near Springfield, Ohio, when the lunch time hungers started to hit. I took a quick glance at the map (which is always set to show nearby wing restaurants) and saw a Fricker’s. Since I’ve never been to one, I figured well heck, now’s the time! So I went on in, grabbed a seat, and ordered some wings. Long story short, I left the place full and with a sack full of Fricker’s wing sauces. That way I could enjoy the same flavors at home, starting with Fricker’s BBQ wing sauce wings.

Fricker's BBQ Wings

Not Just A BBQ Wing Sauce

Fricker’s BBQ wing sauce wings have a slight smoky flavor with just a hint of heat. It’s a thinner tomato-based sauce with a slight sweetness to it. At first I thought it was pretty much your standard BBQ-like sauce. But it really grew on me. A lot. And now I wish I’d bought more.

The sauce comes in glass bottles (yes!) and they have 4 of their signature flavors available online and in the stores. You can get any of their sauces in the restaurant to go, too. They’ll make them up for you fresh and package them in Mason jars. They’re very reasonably priced. And hey, you get a Mason jar to boot!

Cravin’ Cajun Wing Sauce Wings

I usually make my own sauce when it comes to Cajun-flavored chicken wings. But, for something new I grabbed a bottle of Cravin’ Cajun Wing Sauce from Louisiana Fish Fry Products. Our local grocery store has a number of Cajun-seasoned items. Thankfully. Cravin’ Cajun wing sauce has a nice hot sauce kick to it, sort of like a traditional wing sauce, but with some great southern spice.

Cravin Cajun Wings

Great Flavor In Every Bite

So I just made up a batch of wings my usual way, cooking them on the Char-Broil Big Easy for a bit. You can also make them on a grill, smoker, in the oven or in a deep fryer. Then I tossed them in some Cravin’ Cajun wing sauce sauce and served them with Ranch dipping sauce. Easy. Great.

Want a really great way to cook up a huge batch of kickin’ good chicken nuggets? Just heat your favorite frozen pre-cooked nuggets as the package says, then put them in a large bowl. Pour on the Cravin’ Cajun sauce and toss to coat. Perfect for a huge party and down-right absolutely delicious!

The Mustard Man Simply Horsey Wings

I never really thought I’d write a post titled The Mustard Man Simply Horsey wings. Let me start by saying that I’m not usually a fan of horseradish. I like it in my cocktail sauce, and then only a little is enough.

Fortunately for me, this sauce has just the right amount of horseradish. It’s a creamy, delicious mayonnaise-based sauce that my wife absolutely loves on sandwiches. And now, I love it on wings!

The Mustard Man Simply Horsey Wings

Horseradish Heaven

These Mustard Man Simply Horsey wings made a horseradish believer out of me. It has shown me that the right balance of ingredients can make for a great wings with just the right amount of horseradish heat. These are great wings.

Blonde Beard’s Chicken and Waffles Wing Sauce Wings

I’m not sure, but I might have teared up a bit the first time I saw an ad for Blonde Beard’s sauces and rubs. Everything looked so good. And the flavors? Yowsa! IPA Buffalo! Black Magic! Holy Hell! And Chicken and Waffles! I quickly cracked open the sauce, gave it a taste, went ‘mmmmm’, and drizzled it on my hot-out-of-the-fryer wings.

It’s not breakfast

The sauce is based on a mild traditional vinegar Buffalo wing sauce. Not too much heat (thanks to cayenne), but enough to be noticed. Then comes the sweetness from maple syrup. Oh yeah. My mouth was telling me I was having wings for breakfast but it was definitely lunch time.

Blonde Beard's Chicken & Waffles Wings

A true favorite of mine

I suspected that I’d love Blonde Beard’s Chicken and Waffles wing sauce before I ever opened it and I was right. I’m a big Buffalo sauce fan, and an even bigger maple syrup fan (it’s scary how much I can put on my waffles!). The sauce is thin, like any vinegar-based sauce tends to be, but you don’t need much to get that great mildly spicy sweetness.

Anchor Bar Barbecue Wing Sauce Wings

Of course, the Anchor Bar is famous as being the creator of what we now call traditional Buffalo wings. But, not all of their wing sauce flavors are based in vinegar or butter or hot sauce. Anchor Bar Barbecue wings are just as fantastic as the classic. Tomato based, this sauce is lightly smoky, lightly sweet, and has just a slight bit of a spicy kick to it. It’s perfect on wings.

Anchor Bar Barbecue Wings

It’s Not Just Great on Wings!

Anchor Bar Barbecue wing sauce is equally as great on a smoked rack of ribs or a grilled chicken breast as it is on deep-fried chicken wings. It has the right consistency, the right flavors to make it a great straight-up BBQ sauce.

Remember that if you have to refrigerate your open bottle of wing sauce to let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.

For something a little spicier, but not too spicy, try Anchor Bar’s medium Buffalo wings.

Anchor Bar Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce Wings

I’m pretty sure that if you make your own wings at home, by law, you have to have a few bottles of Anchor Bar Hot Buffalo wing sauce on hand at all times. The medium heat version is a great sauce to serve a crowd. But sometimes someone, maybe you, maybe not, wants some more kick. Well, say hello to the Anchor Bar hot Buffalo wings sauce. Same great flavor, more heat. Win!

Anchor Bar Hot Buffalo Wings

Great Flavor without too much Heat

I wouldn’t call the spicier version of the classic sauce over-the-top spicy. It’s a great sauce with a great kick. It hits you then it sneaks off, leaving you with great flavor and great wings. Anchor Bar Hot Buffalo wing sauce wings are really good. Finger-licking good. Get a few bottles and keep some on hand at all times. It’s the law!

Wing-Time Thai Chili Buffalo Wing Sauce Wings

I, like a lot of people, am a big fan of the Buffalo wing sauces from Wing-Time. They’re creamy, delicious, and come in different heat levels so they’re great for anyone and any occasion. So I was excited when I came across the Wing-Time Thai Chili Buffalo wing sauce in the grocery store. But, honestly, the first taste killed that excitement pretty quick. For a Buffalo sauce, this is another great sauce. But I got no Thai Chili flavor at all. I tried, too. I even asked others to taste it. Nothing. What happened? I don’t know. So, good Buffalo sauce, but not a Thai Chili sauce in my opinion.

Wing-Time Thai Chili Buffalo Wings

I’m Kinda Sad. Actually, I Am Sad.

I couldn’t find any contact info for Wing-Time online. Their website is gone. Their Facebook page is inactive. Fortunately, though, the manufacturer of their sauces, Allied Old English, is still around (but didn’t respond to a DM on FB). Boy, I sure hope this means that their sauces will still be available online and in stores. I also hope that my experience with the Wing-Time Thai Chili Buffalo wing sauce was a fluke! Because I sure do love their other sauces. Maybe my bottle got mis-labelled!

Sweet Baby Ray’s Nashville Hot Wing Sauce Wings

True story. Goldilocks and the Three Bears was originally written about Nashville hot wing sauces! It’s right there in the book: “Goldilocks moved to the third plate of wings, with Sweet Baby Ray’s Nashville hot wing sauce, and took a bite.  “It is just right!” And before she knew it, the wings were all gone. And she was right, this is a great sauce. I knew that any sauce from SBR would have the perfect balance of flavor and heat. There are a lot of Nashville-inspired wing and BBQ sauces out there, but this one ranks way, way up at the top. Get yourself soon before the bears find out about it!

Sweet Baby Ray's Nashville Hot Wings

Nicely Flavored, Nicely Spicy

Sweet Baby Ray’s Nashville hot wing sauce has a bit of a kick, but it’s definitely not a 4-alarm fire sauce. If you’re looking for a crazy hot Nashville chicken experience, you’ll get that classic flavor here but without the mouth-burning heat.

Panola Pepper Mild Wing Sauce Wings

Nothing makes a good Buffalo wing sauce like a good hot sauce. Those aged peppers bring a depth of flavor like nothing else can. It’s not about heat. It’s about flavor. And these Panola Pepper mild wing sauce wings have the flavor. Doesn’t really matter how you cook up your wings, the sauce is the winner here. Nothing but flavor. And a little bit of heat.

Panola Pepper Mild Wing Sauce Wings

Thin For The Win

This sauce smells amazing as soon as you open the bottle. You know you’re in for a treat right off the bat. Panola Pepper mild wing sauce wings ain’t messing around. It did strike me at first that the sauce is a little thin. But as soon as I got it on my wings my worries went away. I was lost in deliciousness.

This sauce is made using milk. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that in a wing sauce. Or pretty much any sauce for that matter. It’s good stuff. Maybe milk (and fantastic peppers!) is the answer!
