Stubb’s Texas Sriracha Anytime Sauce Wings

Stubb’s recently came out with a line of marinades and what they call anytime sauces. Our local grocery store had them all on sale, so I grabbed two or three bottles of each and headed on home with thoughts of the many things I was going to use them in. First up? Wings of course, so I grabbed a bottle of Anytime sauce and went to work making a batch of Stubb’s Texas Sriracha wings!

Stubb's Texas Sriracha Wings

Fantastic Flavor With The Right Kick

The heat from the Texas Sriracha Anytime sauce isn’t overpowering. Great flavor and a bit of a kick. It’s what I’d call the perfect bottled sauce, and absolutely the best thing for Stubb’s Texas Sriracha wings (or grilled chicken, or steak for that matter). It makes for the perfect (kicked up) substitute for the ‘normal’ Sriracha sauce you already use.

Also try Stubb’s black pepper anytime sauce wings.

What Are You Waiting For?

Go make some wings! It’s not that hard to do! My go-to method is to air-fry them. A little seasoning first. Air-fried to perfection. Fantastic aroma as they cook. Crispy skin. Juicy meat. Tender. Ready for a sauce. Air-fried wings can hold up to being tossed with sauce, so that’s what I do. If they were deep-fried with a batter I wouldn’t abuse them like that. I’d gently brush the sauce on. Or serve it on the side, for dipping.

See my guides for cooking your wings, and saucing them! I’ve got you covered!

Brrrrrrrr!

Put any leftover sauce in an air-tight container and keep it in the fridge until the next time you make wings. When it’s time to sauce your wings don’t just pour that cold sauce over them. You’ve spent all that times getting your wings perfect. Crispy skin. Perfect coating. Hot. No matter how you cooked them, you devoted time to making sure they are spot-on delicious. Do not ruin them by adding a cold sauce. First, obviously, it’ll make them cold. In an instant. And secondly, and just as important, cold sauce will make that crunchy skin un-crunchy even quicker than a hot sauce.

So bring your sauce to at least room temperature before using it. If you want, warm it on the stovetop. I’m not a fan of using a microwave to warm sauces, but you can do that if you want.

Texas Pete Extra Mild Buffalo Wings

If you’ve got friends that can’t handle the heat from spicy foods, then Texas Pete’s Extra Mild Buffalo wing sauce is exactly what you are looking for. It has that great Buffalo flavor but without so much of the kick. Now, there’s a bit, but it’s not going to upset anyone, even the most heat-sensitive. These Texas Pete Extra Mild Buffalo wings are a real crowd-pleaser!

Texas Pete Extra Mild Buffalo Wings

Nicely Mellow with Great Taste

This sauce is a thinner sauce, as many Buffalo-style wing sauces are. If you put it directly on super-hot right-off-the-grill or fresh-out-of-the-fryer wings you’re going to end up with some sauce at the bottom of your plate. Let the wings rest a few minutes first before saucing them. But don’t wait too long, you don’t want your wings to get cold! Don’t worry, you’ll be enjoying your Texas Pete Extra Mild Buffalo wings soon!

Remember that if you have to refrigerate your open bottle of wing sauce to let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.

Meijer Honey Barbecue Wings

Wow. I’ve got to stop being so surprised as to how great the wing sauces are from Meijer. I mean no disrespect to the fine people at Meijer, but I wasn’t expecting such great flavor and texture from a well, cheaper, sauce. I’ve loved every one I’ve tried and I’ll be getting more and more, again and again. The Meijer honey barbecue wing sauce is spot on. Low in heat, but high in flavor. A little sweet with a little smoky. I’m willing to bet this sauce would be equally as great on ribs or pulled pork. It’s darned good! And it’s fantastic on Meijer Honey Barbecue wings!

Meijer Honey Barbecue Wings

Lightly Smoky And Sweet

Meijer has a full line of wing sauces. Check them out! They’re all natural and don’t contain anything ‘weird’ in them. And another plus is that they come in glass bottles. None of that strange plastic flavor going on here. Just good stuff just like this one. These Meijer Honey Barbecue wings were great!

Anchor Bar Medium Buffalo Wings

Eating wings at the Anchor Bar is on my bucket list, and not near the bottom of the list either. Until I can get there to devour the original, I’ll have to ‘settle’ for my homemade wings tossed with the Anchor Bar Medium Buffalo wing sauce. I don’t consider it settling at all, because these wings were fantastic. Just the right amount of heat and absolutely great seasoning. I could’ve definitely had more of these Anchor Bar medium Buffalo wings. A lot more.

A Pantry Staple

I ordered Anchor Bar Medium Buffalo wing sauce online. I found the prices to be quite reasonable as was shipping. Don’t be shy, back up the truck and get as many sauces as you can fit into your pantry. They won’t last long. These Anchor Bar medium Buffalo wings are outstanding!
