I really love ‘dry’ chicken wings. By dry I mean not pre-sauced. Not ewwwy dry. Good dry. And they don’t have to be complicated either. Like these black pepper wings. Salt. Pepper. Wings. Well, ok, I did have a dipping sauce, but it’s the fantastic out-of-the-bottle Stubb’s Sweet Black Pepper Anytime wings sauce, which is also great as a marinade.
More Pepper Is More Better
You don’t want to be shy with the black pepper on these wings. You want that pepper kick, and even a bit of pepper heat, to come through in every bite. Stubb’s makes a variety of sauces and they’re all great on wings, even if they don’t say ‘wing sauce’ on the bottles. You’ll enjoy the intense pepperiness of these Stubb’s black pepper wings!
Also try Stubb’s Texas Sriracha wings and their Wicked Habanero Pepper wings.
Remember that if you have to refrigerate your open bottle of wing sauce to let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.
