Chili Maple Wings

Hot Ones hot sauces makes a number of tremendously tasty hot sauces. They aren’t all over-the-top spicy, either. More, they concentrate on flavor over heat. I am addicted to their chili maple hot sauce. It has a low eat level. It’s a little sweet thanks to maple syrup, which also adds an amazing flavor. The spiciness comes from Fresno chilis. With just the right amount of vinegar, this sauce makes for tremendous chili maple wings!

Croix Valley Pineapple Habanero Wings

I checked. It’s actually legal in all 50 states to drink a wing sauce directly from the bottle. You’ll want to, too, when you get a taste of Croix Valley Pineapple Habanero Wings. The fine folks at Croix Valley way out-did themselves this time, and that’s saying a lot because they make a bunch of great sauces and seasonings. Slightly sweet, with a nice slow spicy burn, this sauce reminds me a bit of a Asian chili sauce, but fruit-based instead. It’s so good I put more sauce on the side for dipping my already-sauced wings.

Croix Valley Pineapple Habanero Wings

Pineapple Sweetness with a Bit of Heat

Croix Valley Pineapple Habanero Wings sauce is delicious on a whole heck of a lot more than ‘just’ wings, too. Shrimp, grilled or deep-fried, are big winners when tossed in it. Chicken nuggets too! And the pineapple sweetness really shines on anything pork, specially grilled or smoked pork ribs. And yeah, it’s great straight out of the bottle too!

Also try some Croix Valley tequila lime wings.

Pepper Palace Sweet But Sassy Wings

I could spend hours at Pepper Palace store. In fact, I’ve spent many an hour at Pepper Palace and in several different cities to boot. Of course, the first section I run to is where the wing sauces are. Then I head to the other sauces. BBBQ, dipping… whatever sauces. That’s because just about any sauce can be put on wings. Pepper Palace Sweet But Sassy wings are proof that this sauce is perfect on wings. Lightly sweet and just spicy enough, this chili-sauce-like sauce is a welcome break from traditional wing sauces.

Pepper Palace Sweet But Sassy Wings

It Is Sweet. And Sassy. They Aren’t Lying.

Pepper Palace Sweet But Sassy sauce starts out a bit thin (hey, it was born a dipping sauce), but it’ll set up once it gets on your hot wings. And, nothing wrong with having a little bowl of extra sauce on the side for dipping your wings. Just remember, if your sauce has been refrigerated, let it set out for at least an hour before using. You don’t want to put a cold sauce on hot wings.

My wife loves sweet heat sauces, and this is definitely one of her favorites.

June Moon Strawberry Jalapeno Wings

Strawberry jalapeno BBQ sauce is a good thing, and strawberry jalapeno wing sauce is a fantastic thing! This sauce from June Moon packs strawberry flavor in right up front. You smell that wonderful strawberry aroma, and then you definitely taste it. Then comes that heat. Not too strong, but you’ll get it. Then it’s gone. It doesn’t linger and burn you forever. You get some sweet, then some heat and both are great. These June Moon Strawberry Jalapeno Wings are fantastically different!

June Moon Strawberry Jalapeno Wings

“Wow” Different

This is the second wonderful wing sauce from June Moon that I’ve tried. The first, mango habanero, also impressed me with its fresh fruit flavor and taste and a good dose of heat. The June Moon Strawberry Jalapeno Wings sauce is another winner that definitely did not fail to also impress me. These are great, small-batch, fresh-tasting sauces.

If I am serving my wings with Ranch or blue cheese or some other sauce, I use these little sauce dipping cups. They’re the perfect size for dipping wings, nuggets, tenders and even vegetables.

Also try some June Moon sweet-n-spicy wings.
