Pepper Palace Blackberry Barbecue Wings

I highly recommend the sampling bar at the Pepper Palace store. I’ve been to a bunch of them. They’re almost like pilgrimages for me. Sauce after sauce, all lined up in a row, ready for me to try. And buy. I usually taste each and every one with a single purpose in mind: making chicken wings. And one thing I made was Pepper Palace blackberry barbecue wings. Sure, the bottle says ‘barbecue sauce’ on it, but oh, fear not my fellow wing lovers! It’s fantastic on wings too!

Pepper Palace Blackberry Barbecue Wings

These Pepper Palace blackberry barbecue wings have just the right amount of blackberry flavor. All in a slightly smoky sauce that is also just a bit sweet, all with the perfect consistency for sticking to your wings without being too thick. Yep, great on ribs, perfect on pulled pork, and outstanding on wings! And unexpected, too. How many are your friends are expecting blackberry wings at your next wing-fest?

Pepper Palace Watermelon Barbecue Wings

This is why you always have to hit up the sampling bar when you go to a Pepper Palace store. I’ve been to tons of their stores, and I always spend a good bit of time sampling. That’s where I ran across this barbecue sauce. Yes, barbecue. Of course I thought ‘wings’. Because I knew that Pepper Palace watermelon barbecue wings would be different and fantastic. Fantastically different.

Pepper Palace Watermelon Barbecue Wings

Pepper Palace watermelon barbecue wings have just the right amount of watermelon flavor. Oh sure, you get a traditional BBQ sauce flavor too, and it’s balanced perfectly with the watermelon. These wings are a totally different change from your usual Buffalo-inspired wings.

Of course, this sauce is also fantastic on anything grilled, from ribs to pulled pork to whole roasted chicken.

Remember that if you have to refrigerate your open bottle of sauce, let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.

Pepper Palace Sweet But Sassy Wings

I could spend hours at Pepper Palace store. In fact, I’ve spent many an hour at Pepper Palace and in several different cities to boot. Of course, the first section I run to is where the wing sauces are. Then I head to the other sauces. BBBQ, dipping… whatever sauces. That’s because just about any sauce can be put on wings. Pepper Palace Sweet But Sassy wings are proof that this sauce is perfect on wings. Lightly sweet and just spicy enough, this chili-sauce-like sauce is a welcome break from traditional wing sauces.

Pepper Palace Sweet But Sassy Wings

Pepper Palace Sweet But Sassy sauce starts out a bit thin (hey, it was born a dipping sauce), but it’ll set up once it gets on your hot wings. And, nothing wrong with having a little bowl of extra sauce on the side for dipping your wings. Just remember, if your sauce has been refrigerated, let it set out for at least an hour before using. You don’t want to put a cold sauce on hot wings.

My wife loves sweet heat sauces, and this is definitely one of her favorites.

Wing Master Mango Habanero Wings

For me, going to a Pepper Palace store is like going to Disney World. I walk through the doors and I start to smile like a kid. So many sauces (and other things). I’ve been to several Pepper Palace stores and I’ll be to more to pick up great sauces like their Wing Master Mango Habanero wing sauce. This is a(nother) great sauce, a wonderful combination of sweet mango and spicy habanero, that absolutely delights with each bite!

Wing Master Mango Habanero Wings

I wouldn’t call Pepper Palace’s Wing Master mango habanero wing sauce overly spicy. Oh don’t get me wrong, it’s got some kick. Hey, it does contain habaneros. For me, it was just the right amount of spiciness. I’m not a fan of overly hot sauces that have no flavor. I’m a big fan of this sauce.

Pepper Palace makes a ton of great sauces and seasonings, not just for wings. Find a store near you and spend an hour or two wandering the shelves. They always have an area where you can sample sauces and spices, too. It’s like flavor heaven. Instead, if there’s not one near you, take a road trip (it’ll be worth it) or order online.

Wing Master Sweet Chili Wings

We spent a few days in Sevierville, TN, this summer, enjoying ourselves at the DreamMore resort. Nearby, thankfully, is a Pepper Palace store. Located at The Island, it’s always at the top of my gotta-go-there list. And as always, I backed up the truck and loaded up with a ton of sauces. Including this crazy-good, amazing sauce for Wing Master Sweet Chili wings. It’s different. It’s Buffalo wing sauce inspired, but with a great pepper twist. And a little sweetness. Not very spicy, but it has just a little kick to it. It’s not thick, and it’s not too thin. This is a great wing sauce, and one I would gladly devour again. And again.

Wing Master Sweet Chili Wings

It didn’t take me much of a taste to realize that I wanted Wing Master Sweet Chili wings in my life, that’s for sure. It was the first bottle added to my ‘pile of sauces’ at the checkout counter. And believe me, it was quite the pile!

Wing Master Smokehouse Wings

Whenever my wife and I are in the Gatlinburg, Tennessee, area we always make it a point to swing by a Pepper Palace store. They have several stores in the area, including a new one in Sevierville in an area called The Island. The store, as always, was busy, with people everywhere enjoying samples of the hot sauces and salsas, from the hot to the mild. Me, I headed straight to the wing sauces and in particular, Pepper Palace’s own line of Wing Master sauces, including this Smokehouse sauce.

As soon as we returned from our trip I threw a few seasoned wings onto my Weber Performer grill outfitted with the Vortex insert. When the wings were done I tossed them with the Smokehouse sauce and dug in. The smokehouse sauce has, as you might guess, a great smoky flavor. Not overwhelmingly smoky, but really good. It really amplifies the grilled flavor of the wings. The sauce has a bit of a chipotle and wing sauce kick, but again, not overwhelming. It’s a very enjoyable sauce. I definitely wish that I’d picked up a few more bottles!

Pepper Palace has a wide range of sauces, from the extremely hot to the nice and mellow. The smokehouse sauce is a tad spicy but definitely not hot.
