Ott’s Original Wing Sauce Wings

I love opening a bottle of wing sauce that I’ve never tried. There’s that moment of anticipation. Will I be wowed? Will I be un-wowed? Well, welcome to ‘wowed’ and then some. These Ott’s Original Wing Sauce wings were crazy great. As soon as I opened the bottle I noticed the aroma of one of my favorite spices: celery seed. I use it often in slaws and salad dressings. But I don’t think I’ve ever found it (at least not noticeably) in a Buffalo wing sauce. This is one wonderful take on a classic sauce. Oh did I mention it has a bit of a spicy kick too? Yep, it does. Not too hot but it brings a little heat for sure. I’d call it ‘spot on’ heat.

Ott's Original Wing Sauce Wings

Make Some Wings. Any Wings.

You can make your wings however you prefer. I decided to air fry mine. No matter which way you go, I suggest you don’t over-season your wings. Go light. Maybe just salt and pepper. At most. You don’t want something that’ll fight the sauce. These Ott’s Original Wing Sauce wings are more about the sauce than the wing. That doesn’t mean that your wings have to be blah. Just don’t go crazy with them. The spices in this sauce are amazing and you’ll want to enjoy them.

I found this sauce at a Schnucks grocery store in Bloomington, IL. We were in town to hit a few antique stores up for finds. I always make it a point to visit the local grocery stores in search of new wing sauces and I found this one. I’m so glad I did!

Margaritaville Mango Habanero Wing Sauce Wings

Fruity. Spicy. Sweet. Ah, what a great sauce. This one didn’t last long in my house. My Margaritaville Mango Habanero wing sauce wings were a big favorite from the first taste. You can make wings any way you want. Heck, grab some frozen ones from the grocery store and cook them up like the bag says. Or make them from scratch. Me, I just threw some fresh wings into my air fryer then sauced them up. The sauce is the star here. Don’t put any seasoning on your wings that might fight with the sauce.

More Than A Wing Sauce

My first thought with any bottled sauce is ‘wings’. Even if it doesn’t say just ‘wings’. The bottle for Mango Habanero wing sauce from Margaritaville also says ‘marinade’. And it’d be mighty great for that too. It could also say ‘dipping sauce’ because I can definitely see grabbing another bottle and using that for deep-fried shrimp dipping. It’s not a thick sauce, so it’d be great for more than just wings. So grab more than one bottle. You’ll need it.

Traeger Grills ‘Que BBQ Sauce Wings

A delicious BBQ sauce makes for some really great wings. These Traeger Grills ‘Que BBQ sauce wings have that perfect traditional BBQ sauce flavor. Elevated. It’s a little sweet but not too much so. And it’s a little smoky. But not overpoweringly so. The seasoning is perfect. I’d put this sauce on anything. And I’d dip anything in it. But mostly, I want it on my wings!

Schnucks Honey BBQ Wing Sauce Wings

Whenever I take a road trip I make it a point to stop at any local or regional grocery stores and check out the wing sauce section. Besides the national brands I can find pretty much anywhere I also come across some great brands I can only find on the road. Like Schnucks. I was in Bloomington IL for a few days. My hotel was right next door to a Schnucks. If that’s not a sign I don’t know what is. I grabbed a bottle of each of their own brand of sauces. Lots of them. I was grinning like a kid in a candy store. One of the first wings I made when I got home was these Schnucks Honey BBQ wing sauce wings. These were some mighty fine wings. The sauce was lightly sweet with a hint of smokiness. Not overwhelming, but spot-on good. And boy, I sure couldn’t beat the price of the sauce either!

Just Make Some Wings

It doesn’t really matter what kinda cooked wings you use when you make a batch of some Schnucks Honey BBQ wing sauce wings. Frozen and baked. Deep-fried. Air fried. Grilled. Whatever. Just cook them up and get them sauced. Soon you’ll be enjoying a lightly sweet BBQ-inspired wing. This sauce doesn’t have a kick to it, so you can serve it to your friends without them running off screaming ‘it burns, it burns’. So load up.

Schnucks Spicy Garlic Wing Sauce Wings

We drove to Bloomington, IL for a few days and went over to Bloomington, IL to do a little antiquing. Our hotel was next door to a grocery store, a regional chain named Schnucks. This of course meant I had to go on a wing sauce hunt. Did I make out like a bandit! Schnuck’s has a big selection of its own brand of wing sauces. I grabbed a bottle of each one. The lady at the checkout didn’t even blink an eye at my conveyor belt full of sauces rolling slowly towards her. When we got home I made a batch of easy air fryer wings and sauced them up. I loved these Schnucks Spicy Garlic wing sauce wings!

Schnucks Spicy Garlic Wing Sauce Wings

Nice Flavor. Great Heat.

These Schnucks Spicy Garlic wing sauce wings hit the spot. They aren’t super spicy but they do make you sit up and notice. And they do have a nice garlic hit, too. Enough to make you notice that too. I was more than happy with the flavor. And I’ll tell you, you can’t beat the price either. Next time we’re anywhere near a Schnucks I’m stopping by and grabbing some more of this sauce and all their others!

Schnucks also makes a delicious honey BBQ wing sauce!
