Plucker’s Fire in the Hole Wing Sauce Wings

You know Plucker’s Fire in the Hole wing sauce is guaranteed to be spicy. Plucker’s backed up the name with great flavors too. Yeah, it’s got great heat. A lot of it, too. I do mean a lot. A whole heck of a lot of heat. But it’s also one super-flavorful sauce. There’s nothing worse than a spicy sauce that’s nothing but kick and no flavor.

Plucker's Fire in the Hole Wings

Lots and Lots of Great Heat

If you like hot wings, I highly recommend Plucker’s Fire in the Hole wing sauce. And, according to their website, if you eat 25 wings covered in the sauce while at their restaurant you’ll get your picture on their wall of fame. I just had 6 wings and it was good but made me sweat. Not sure I could eat 25!

Rick’s Coffee Burn Dry Wings

I was a bit skeptical about a coffee and chicken. Sure, coffee often finds its way into my beef rubs or sauces, but it’s not something I thought would work so well with chicken wings. Rick’s coffee burn dry wings have so many great flavors it’s impossible to point to just one that makes them taste so great. You taste the coffee, the bouillon, garlic, onion… all of it. And there’s no lack of heat, either. Chipotle powder and jalapeno powder both pack a punch, but like everything else in the rub, they don’t drown out the other flavors.

Rick's Coffee Burn Dry Wings

Dry Wings Are Always A Win

I’m a huge fan of dry rubbed wings. Sauced wings are fantastic too. But you have to be careful that the sauce doesn’t become the only star of the show. You don’t want to hide the seasoning and the chicken. Rick’s coffee burn dry wings let me taste of all of the spices, and still I taste chicken. If you can’t taste the chicken, what’s the point?

I like to make my spice, rub and seasoning mixes in big batches and keep them in large bottles with easy-to-pour shaker lids.

Japanese Barbecue Sauce Wings

This post is for the original, non-spicy version of Bachan’s Japanese barbecue sauce. Also check out my post on their spicy Japanese barbecue sauce!

Japanese Barbecue Sauce makes me sad. Sad that I went so long before buying a bottle and squeezing it onto some wings, that is! My goodness me is this ever good stuff! I mean crazy good. Lightly sweet and lightly salty, it’s what teriyaki sauce wishes it could be. I cannot stop eating wings covered in this sauce. And I’m not afraid to admit it, I double-sauced my wings.

Japanese Barbecue Sauce Wings

“Oh. My. Goodness.” Good.

Bachan’s Japanese Barbecue sauce is a little on the thin side. Normally that would be a minus on wings. You won’t want your sauce to end up at the bottom of your plate, you need it to stick to your wings. Well, this sauce has so much fantastic flavor that you don’t need it to be super thick. Not at all. If you want, do like I do and put a small bowl of extra sauce on the side for dipping. You won’t regret it.

Red Chile BBQ Sauce Wings

Boy was I ever happy that I bought a sampling of the seasonings, sauces, and jellies from AlbuKirky Seasonings. Everything in the online store looked and sounded so good. I anxiously awaited the day my package arrived (which was very soon after I clicked ‘Check out’). I knew exactly what I was going to do first: chicken wings made with Kirk’s red chile rub and sauced with his red chile BBQ sauce. The perfect combination of southwestern flavors and a little kick of heat, the rub and sauce made for fantastic wings.

Red Chile BBQ Wings

Uniquely Delicious

I’ve used the red chile rub and BBQ sauce on many things since making these wings. Ribs, burgers, chicken, you name it, all came out great. But, oh, how I do love the wings. There’s no flavor like it to be found in any wing place around here, that’s for sure. There should be.

Capital City Mambo Wing Sauce Wings

I can definitely say that Capital City Mambo wing sauce wings are crazy amazingly good. It’s a ketchup-based sweet sauce that has great flavor and the perfect consistency for wings. It’d be great on a whole bunch of foods, but it really shines on wings for sure. It’s not spicy, so you don’t have to worry about it scaring off your I-don’t-like-heat guests.

Capital City Mambo Wings

An All-Around Great Sauce

I ordered a squeeze bottle (perfect for squirting onto wings!) each of the sauces from Capital City. Now I can see that I’m going to have to order jugs instead, because this stuff just isn’t going to last around here. Next time I grill ribs, burgers, or chicken, this sauce is gonna be right there, too. It’s not just fantastic on wings, nope, Capital City Mambo wing sauce is for everything!

Remember that if you have to refrigerate your open bottle of wing sauce to let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.

Also try the spicier version of these wings.

Market District Hot Honey Wings

‘A delicate dance of pleasure and pain’. It says it right on the bottle of this Market District Hot Honey wing sauce. When I first saw this sauce on the shelf of our local Market District I knew I had to try it. It looks like great sauce. There’s yummy tasty-looking things floating in it. It looks like it’s just thick enough. And I do love sweet heat, so into my basket it went!

Market District Hot Honey Wings

An All-Around Great Sauce

When I first took a taste of Market District Hot Honey wing sauce I was hit with heat. Like I’d been stung by a bee. A bee named ‘scotch bonnet pepper’. But in an instant it was gone, replaced by a sweetness, and almost tropical pepper flavor. A lightly vinegar-based sauce with a hint of garlic, it definitely mixes heat and sweet without being too much of either. It’s really a truly great sauce, for wings, nuggets, grilled chicken, you name it.

Remember that if you have to refrigerate your open bottle of wing sauce to let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.

Plucker’s Teriyaki Wing Sauce Wings

I’ve had a good number of Teriyaki-flavored wings over the year. I’m a big fan of them. Some are more soy-flavored than others. And some are more sweet than others. It’s possible to have too much of both. Plucker’s Teriyaki wing sauce strikes the perfect balance between the Asian-inspired tastes and sweetness. It’s a very pleasant sauce, which seems strange to say, but it is. Every bite of wings covered in this sauce was delicious.

Plucker's Teriyaki Wings

I Can’t Get Enough Of This Sauce

You just can’t go wrong with any of Plucker’s wing sauces. Their Teriyaki wing sauce is just another of the kind of good tasty quality sauce you get from them. They’re finger licking good for sure. So pick up some bottles online or in their restaurants.

Oh, and I think this sauce will be fantastic on the rack of ribs I’m grilling later this week!

Plucker’s Vampire Killer Wing Sauce Wings

True enough, after even the first batch of Plucker’s Vampire Killer wing sauce wings we no longer had vampires in our home. A little honey and molasses sweetness. A little spicy cayenne. And a WHOLE lot of garlic. You won’t be huntin’ around for the garlic in this wonderful wing sauce. It comes right at you. But it’s not so much that you get a garlic burn. It’s smooooooth and tasty and one of the best wing sauces you can find. So if you love garlic like I do, grab yourself a bottle or two and get to making some wings!

Plucker's Vampire Killer Wings

Garlic. Glorious Garlic. And Lots Of It.

Plucker’s Vampire Killer wing sauce has just the right consistency for wings. Not too thick and not too thin. Like all of Plucker’s wing sauces, which I’ve been enjoying immensely. You don’t want to pass on this sauce if you even remotely like garlic with a little heat and a whole lot of flavor.

Kosmos Q Buffalo Dry Wings

I’m a big fan of dry wings. It’s easy to be one, too, with flavors like those in these Kosmos Q Buffalo dry wings. I just cook up a batch of wings and toss them in the seasoning. That’s it. There’s nothing fancy going on here. Just good, traditional Buffalo wing flavor all in a powder (which I’m quite generous with, I do admit!). How cool and awesome is that? If you’ve never had dry wings you are really missing out. Since I discovered them I find myself ordering or making them at least half of the time I have wings.

Kosmos Q Buffalo Dry Wings

Fantastic Dry Wings With Just A Little Kick

Kosmo’s Q Buffalo dry wing dust has just the right amount of spiciness to it. It’s not crazy hot and it’s not crazy tame. Somewhere in-between. You gotta know you’re having Buffalo-inspired wings, right? Well, that’s what you get and then some!

Make sure you seal your wing seasonings well after using. You don’t want any moisture sneaking in. Kosmos Q comes in quality pouches that seal perfectly!

Kroger Parmesan Garlic Wing Sauce Wings

My tastes in wing sauces pretty much run the gamut. I may enjoy a few spicy Buffalo wings for a bit, then I’ll need a switch. And often that switch is to one of my favorite flavor combinations: Parmesan cheese and garlic. Kroger sells a mighty fine Parmesan garlic wing sauce, and it’s quite affordable to boot!

Kroger Parmesan Garlic Wings

Great Flavors At A Great Price

This sauce is exactly what I would want (and expect) from a wing sauce. Perfect balance of flavors. Nothing is drowning out the other tastes so I get just one. Perfect consistency. No pools of sauce at the bottom of my plate. It works and it works well. Kroger nailed another one with their Parmesan garlic wing sauce!
