Tabasco Sweet and Spicy Sauce Wings

I would like to propose a new national holiday. It’s in honor of whomever at TABASCO came up with this sauce. Oh sure, they said it’d be great on veggies. Or on tacos. Maybe in a stir fry. Sure, dip some nuggets in it. But these Tabasco Sweet and Spicy sauce wings are really the best destination for this sauce. This is sweet chili sauce elevated. A little sweet. A little heat. And a complex flavor that is a combination of hints of ginger, garlic and even pear. This sauce is beyond finger-licking good.

Yes, You In The Back

If I was invited to a meeting at the TABASCO sauce board (if they have such a thing) I’d raise my hand and ask the one obvious question. “Why isn’t this available in a 5 gallon jug?” That’s my only complaint about these Tabasco sweet and spicy sauce wings. I go thru the sauce so fast I need a bigger jug of it. Just a suggestion. I’m ok with having to buy 10 bottles of it at a time too. For now.

Market District Thai Style Sweet Chili Wings

My wife is a big fan of any chili sauce-based wing sauce. And that’s an understatement. I grabbed a bottle of the Thai Style Sweet Chili wings sauce from Market District knowing that she’d like it just from looking at the bottle. I could see chili sauce with peppers inside. Well, she didn’t just like this sweet, garlicky sauce. She absolutely loved it! This is easily one of the best sweeter sauces you can find.

Market District Thai Style Sweet Chili Wings

A Wonderfully Sweet Asian-Inspired Sauce

Market District’s Thai Style Sweet Chili wings are definitely sweet. And not spicy at all. Neither of us got a sense of heat from it. But boy, it is delicious on wings. I admit to putting more of this sauce on my wings than I normally would. I am just as addicted to it as my wife is. It’s very much a finger-licking good sauce. If you’re looking for something sweet, this is it.

Remember that if you have to refrigerate your open bottle of wing sauce to let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.

Also try Market District’s delicious zesty dill pickle wings!

Private Selection Chili Wings

I love the Private Selection (Kroger’s premium brand) line of wing sauces. Each one has been fantastic, and believe me I’ve tried them all. The Private Selection Chili wings sauce is no exception. It’s a wonderful combination of garlic and very mild chile peppers. It packs a very, very light punch and brings a good bit of sweetness. Not too spicy and not too sweet.

Great On Other Dishes, Too!

Private Selection Chili wings sauce isn’t just a great sauce for wings, either. It’s great for dipping shrimp and chicken nuggets too! But it is absolutely finger-licking fantastic on a batch of hot-out-of-whatever-you-cooked-them-in wings. I admit it, I’m pretty heavy handed with it when I pour it onto my wings.

Remember that if you have to refrigerate your open bottle of wing sauce to let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.

Also try Private Selection’s gochujang honey garlic wings!
