Yowsa. I was looking for a great, homemade Asian-inspired wing sauce and did I ever find it. These pineapple glazed wings were absolutely fantastic. I could not stop eating them, and more, I couldn’t stop licking the sauce off my fingers. The sauce is a little sweet, but not overly sweet. It has a wonderful hint of pineapple, (thanks to real juice!) which I love. Add a little garlic and ginger and you’ve got a great wing sauce!
Fruity Sweetness In Every Bite
The sauce on these pineapple glazed wings isn’t just great on wings. Nope. It also makes for the perfect glaze on grilled pork tenderloin or smoked pork ribs. Or chicken. It’s also great as a dipping sauce for chicken nuggets.
Kick It Up. If You Want To.
If you like your sauce to have a bit of a kick to it, add some dried red pepper flake. You’ll get a sauce that looks similar to a chili sauce and is just as yummy!
I store my leftover homemade sauces in squeeze bottles. If refrigerated, I set them out an hour before using so they come to room temperature. You don’t want to put cold sauce on hot wings! Also try my wicked sticky wings!
