Buffalo Wild Wings Teriyaki Wing Sauce Wings

Oh sure, I love spicy, hot chicken wings. But I’m also a big fan of more savory wings. In fact, the Buffalo Wild Wings Teriyaki wing sauce wings are my wife’s and my favorite. We always order them (though she often opts for the boneless wings while I go for the bone-in versions).

Buffalo Wild Wings Teriyaki Wings

A Long-Time Favorite Of Ours

Buffalo Wild Wings (of course) sells their sauces in their stores. They’re quite reasonably priced, and when you order 3 (or in my case, a lot more than 3) you can get them in this fancy carrying box. I think all of their flavors are available to go, except the current ‘special’ sauce, which is unfortunate because the flavor-of-the-month not too long ago was a crazy good chipotle cherry sting sauce. I’d drink that stuff with a straw. So go get you some Buffalo Wild Wings Teriyaki wing sauce today!

Bayou Bourre Louisiana Boil Wings

I’ll never look at a bottle of hot sauce the same way again. The fine folks over at Bayou Gotham changed my world when they came out with Bayou Bourré Louisiana Boil sauce. Heat-wise, this sauce has just a little nice gentle kick to it. But flavor-wise, this sauce is insanely great. I devoured my Bayou Bourre Louisiana Boil wings in no time at all.

Bayou Bourre Louisiana Boil Wings

Crab Boil Heaven

I am a crab boil addict. I love the flavors. This sauce brings all that. It’s a wonderful combination of spiciness (but not super spicy at all!), citrus, onions, celery, corn and potatoes. Yes, you read that correctly. It’s all in these Bayou Bourre Louisiana Boil wings. You see it all in the bottle. It looks good just sitting there. It’s like flavor art in a bottle.

Butter Up. Or Don’t.

I usually mix a little melted butter with my hot sauce before saucing on my wings. It’s what I call my Two Ingredient wing sauce. Pretty sneaky naming, huh? Well, sometimes you run into a hot sauce where you may not want to do this. Bayou Bourré Louisiana Boil sauce is a good example. So here’s what I recommend. Taste the sauce. If you love it out of the bottle (and you will), just pour it on your wings. No need to add butter. But if you want a little buttery flavor (ala classic Buffalo wing flavors), add a little. Not a lot. Heat it and melt it and stir. Taste. Good? Put it on your wings. Want more butter? Go for it.

There’s no wrong here. This sauce makes for amazing wings no matter if you add butter or not.

Air Fryer Hooter’s Hot Wings

Oh yes! Give me a plate (or two) or air fryer Hooter’s hot wings and I am one happy guy! Sure, the traditional method involves deep frying and that’s the way to do up the classic if you have the time, deep fryer and oil. If not, the air fryer makes for some mighty respectable wings that are just hot enough, just crunchy enough, and are oh so delicious! These wings are the way wings should be, and they’re crazy easy to make!

Air Fryer Hooter's Hot Wings

You Never Forget Your First Wings

Air fryer Hooter’s hot wings take me right back to the first time I visited a Hooter’s. I went to the original store in Clearwater, FL and ordered up a big ole plate of wings and proceeded to get at it! Man, did I ever fall in love with wings right there and then. And so here I am, many years later, still enjoying Hooter’s great wings! Stop by one of the restaurants to purchase some breading and sauce (and heck, get some wings while you’re there). You can also order them online.

Get The Real Thing

You can order everything online that you need to make these great wings at home.

I love wings out of my air fryer. I never thought I would, but the ease and flavor and crunchy skin made a believer out of me!

An air fryer version of the restaurant classic!

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Place wings into a resealable container. Add 1 tablespoon of the breading. Seal and shake to coat. Open the container and check for breading that isn't adhering to the wings. If there isn't any (i.e. it's all stuck to the wings!) you might want to add bit more breading, seal, and shake again. If there's a bit of breading in the container that isn't stuck to the wings, you're good to go as as much is stuck as is gonna stick!
  • Place the sealed wings into the fridge for 30 minutes.
  • Lightly spray the basket of your air fryer with non-stick spray. Preheat per manufacturer's recommendation to 400 F.
  • Lightly spray all sides of the wings with non-stick spray.
  • Add the wings to the basket (be careful it's hot!). If you have trouble fitting them without overlapping, stand the drumettes along the sides of the basket.
  • Cook wings for 10 minutes.
  • Flip the wings and cook another 10 minutes.
  • Remove wings from fryer and place in a bowl. Toss with the sauce. Click here for our guide on how to sauce your wings.
  • Serve with dressing and carrots and celery.

Notes

Note: If your wing sauce is refrigerated, place a few tablespoons of the sauce into a microwavable bowl and microwave for 20 seconds to melt.

Kosmos Q Honey Barbecue Wing Dust Wings

I’m a HUGE fan of dry wings. You know, wings that are cooked up nice and crunchy then tossed with a seasoning such as Kosmos Q’s Honey Barbecue wing dust. No sauce. Yeah, you can have a dipping sauce, but the wings themselves are not tossed in anything but seasoning. I’m happy to see more and more restaurants and bars now offer dry wings in addition to wet ones.

I tossed some air fryer wings with Kosmos Q’s Honey Barbecue wing dust and proceeded to devour each and every one. And quickly. I loved the lightly smoky, lightly sweet seasoning. They weren’t quite what I would call dessert wings, but I sure felt like I was cheating on my diet when I was eating them (even though I wasn’t!). The dust is definitely finger-licking good!

Kosmos Q Honey Barbecue Wing Dust Wings

Not Just For Wings, Nope

Kosmos Q Honey Barbecue wing dust isn’t just for wings, nope. This stuff is fantastic on a grilled chicken, be it pieces or a whole bird. You can sprinkle it on popcorn. And on roasted peanuts. Ribs. Anywhere you’re looking for some BBQ sweetness, reach for Kosmos Q first.

You get a lot in each and every bag of Kosmos Q’s wing dusts. The seasonings are high quality and seasoned perfectly. You won’t regret buying it. And you won’t regret doing what I did: buy a bag of each and every flavor!

Schnucks Hot Buffalo Sauce Wings

I love it when I’m blown away by a bottled wing sauce. Specially if it was the ‘right price’. I grabbed some sauces from Schnucks, a grocery store chain in Illinois and the mid-west and could not have been happier. Schnucks hot buffalo sauce wings were spot-on what I wanted. Great flavor. Great heat. The right consistency. Just flat-out good stuff. I’d make wings with this sauce any day, any time.

Schnucks Hot Buffalo Sauce Wings

Just Make Some Wings

It doesn’t really matter what kinda cooked wings you use when you make a batch of some Schnucks hot buffalo sauce wings. Frozen and baked. Deep-fried. Air fried. Grilled. Whatever. It really doesn’t matter. Just cook them up and get them sauced and get ready for some classic Buffalo wing goodness. And yeah, you might want some blue cheese or ranch dressing on the side to cool you off a bit. These wings do have some kick to them!

This sauce is great for dipping nuggets too!

Buffalo Wild Wings Parmesan Garlic Wing Sauce Wings

Oh yes! How happy was I with these Buffalo Wild Wings Parmesan Garlic wing sauce wings! Creamy, garlicky and loaded with Parmesan, it was a welcome change from the Buffalo sauce-inspired wing sauces that I’d been having. In a way, it’s like a thickened Italian salad dressing, and you definitely could use this sauce on a salad, believe me. But it’s much more than that. This is great stuff and nice and different.

Buffalo Wild Wings Parmesan Garlic Wings

Finger-Licking Delicious

Buffalo Wild Wings Parmesan Garlic wing sauce is also absolutely fantastic slathered on roasted chicken. Just minutes before your chicken is done, brush a few good coats of sauce on the bird and finish cooking until done.

This sauce is also great on rotisserie chicken or even turkey!

Remember that if you have to refrigerate your open bottle of wing sauce to let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.

House of Wings BBQ Wing Sauce Wings

House of Wings BBQ wing sauce is what a wing sauce should be. The perfect balance of traditional Buffalo wing flavors with a hint of BBQ sauce, I could eat these wings all day long. Pure Wing Sauce Greatness

I picked up a few bottles of each of the flavors from Alliger’s House of Wings. When they arrived I thought to myself “yowsa, that’s a lot of wing sauce”. Now that I’ve been enjoying them I realize that there’s no such thing as having too many on hand. House of Wings BBQ wing sauce is just one example of pure wing sauce greatness.

Ott’s Original Wing Sauce Wings

I love opening a bottle of wing sauce that I’ve never tried. There’s that moment of anticipation. Will I be wowed? Will I be un-wowed? Well, welcome to ‘wowed’ and then some. These Ott’s Original Wing Sauce wings were crazy great. As soon as I opened the bottle I noticed the aroma of one of my favorite spices: celery seed. I use it often in slaws and salad dressings. But I don’t think I’ve ever found it (at least not noticeably) in a Buffalo wing sauce. This is one wonderful take on a classic sauce. Oh did I mention it has a bit of a spicy kick too? Yep, it does. Not too hot but it brings a little heat for sure. I’d call it ‘spot on’ heat.

Ott's Original Wing Sauce Wings

Make Some Wings. Any Wings.

You can make your wings however you prefer. I decided to air fry mine. No matter which way you go, I suggest you don’t over-season your wings. Go light. Maybe just salt and pepper. At most. You don’t want something that’ll fight the sauce. These Ott’s Original Wing Sauce wings are more about the sauce than the wing. That doesn’t mean that your wings have to be blah. Just don’t go crazy with them. The spices in this sauce are amazing and you’ll want to enjoy them.

I found this sauce at a Schnucks grocery store in Bloomington, IL. We were in town to hit a few antique stores up for finds. I always make it a point to visit the local grocery stores in search of new wing sauces and I found this one. I’m so glad I did!

Lillie’s Q Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce Wings

There are a number of guarantees in life. You know, like taxes. And that any seasoning or sauce from Lillie’s Q is going to be amazing. Amazing in flavor, amazing in quality, amazing in every way that is important. Lillie’s Q Hot Buffalo wing sauce is a guaranteed winner. You know what you’re in for. A hot Buffalo wing sauce. I mean, that’s kind of obvious! But you know that Lillie’s is going to deliver those classic flavors in a sauce that is perfectly balanced, wonderfully spicy, and just the right consistency to stick to your wings.

Lillies Q Hot Buffalo Wings

Oh So Good Buffalo-Inspired Flavors

Many wing sauces come in plastic bottles. I get that. It’s a cost thing. A freight thing. Not Lillie’s Q Hot Buffalo wing sauce. Nothing but thick, glass bottles here. For the same reason beer tastes better out of a glass bottle, wing sauce tastes better out of glass. It’s another reason why you know going in that you’re in for a great sauce.

PS: Don’t say I didn’t warn you. The bottle does say ‘hot’ right there on the front of the label. It’s not a misprint.

Kroger Buffalo Spicy Garlic Wing Sauce Wings

Somebody at Kroger wasn’t lying when they named this sauce. Kroger Buffalo spicy garlic wing sauce is definitely spicy. More so than garlicky. This is a wing sauce that packs a great punch with good flavor, for a really great price. And it’s also the right consistency, important for proper sticking to wings. That’s why you want a wing sauce, right? It’s not gravy, it doesn’t belong on the bottom of your plate. It belongs on your wings.

Kroger Buffalo Spicy Garlic Wings

By Golly It’s Spicy. And Garlicky.

If you’re using a wing sauce (be it homemade or store-bought like Kroger’s Buffalo spicy garlic wing sauce) that has been refrigerated always warm it up just a bit before using it. Nothing makes a hot wing cold faster than tossing it in a sauce right out of the fridge. If you want a cold sauce, I recommend serving it on the side in a sauce dipping cup, like these.

Also try Kroger’s Cajun wing sauce wings. They’re fantastic!
