Spicy Sweet and Sour Wings

These spicy sweet and sour wings are proof that it really doesn’t take a pantry full of ingredients to make a fantastic wing sauce. It truly doesn’t get any easier than this. Just open two bottles, pour into a bowl and mix. That’s it. And the cool part is that you get to decide how sweet you want it to be. Or how spicy. It’s impossible to mess up this sauce.

Spicy Sweet and Sour Wing

Sweet And Sour Needed Some Heat

I opted for Crystal Hot sauce in my spicy sweet and sour wings sauce. It’s got great flavor and just the right heat level for me. Sure, I’ve got hotter hot sauces around. If I was craving hotter wings, I would’ve used them. And if I’m more on the even milder side, I’ve got sauces for that too.

Moore’s Spicy Habanero Wings

Spicy and tasty. Moore’s spicy habanero wing sauce checked all of the boxes for me. It made my lips tingle but it wasn’t so hot that I didn’t notice the underlying flavor. I enjoyed the kick and I enjoyed the slight sweetness this sauce brings. I’m not one to want to torture myself with an over-the-top hot sauce. Although this sauce brought some heat I didn’t suffer!

Moore's Spicy Habanero Wings

I’ve Had Hotter, But Not Better

I’ve definitely had hotter sauces than Moore’s spicy habanero wing sauce. But few have been as tasty. It’s a great balance of the two. I didn’t go nuts with it when I sauced up a batch of hot-out-of-the-air-fryer wings. Just enough to notice. They were perfect.

Cholula Caliente Wings

These Cholula Caliente wings are something special. Traditional Buffalo wing sauce needed a south-of-the-border twist, and this is it. Nicely spicy, it has a great combination of peppers that make for one of the best tasting sauces I’ve had. If you’re a fan of Cholula’s hot sauce, you’ll be an even bigger fan of this wing sauce.

Cholula Caliente Wings

A Great Tasting Sauce

It’d be an understatement to say I’m a big lover of Cholula’s Caliente wing sauce. Ditto their other wing sauce that I’ve tried, Cholula Mexicali. And like any Cholula sauce, wing or hot, it’s good on just about anything. Like nachos. Or tacos. You name it. I don’t use it sparingly, I load up and then I add some more. No such thing as too much of this sauce.

And, according to my wife, the bottle is pretty.

Hooter’s 3 Mile Island Wings

This is it. The pinnacle of wings from a chain restaurant, Hooter’s 3 Mile Island wings. But made at home with little fuss and tons of reward. Yeah, they’re spicy. They’re mighty spicy in fact. But tasty too. Heat and tasty are a good thing. Lightly breaded and fried in no time, these are definitely one of my favorite wings of all time.

Kosmos Q Seven Pepper Face Lift Dry Wings

You probably don’t need me to tell you that there’s a lot of pepper in this seasoning. Kosmos Q Seven Pepper Face Lift dry wings are crazy good, but I gotta warn you. It opens up with a kick. It’ll wake you up, but an instant later you get nothing but fantastic peppery flavor. I mean, really good. After a few bites I was all about that heat and pepper and couldn’t get enough. But I admit, that first kick was … a kick!

If you’re a tad shy about heat I’d recommend going light on the Kosmos Q Seven Pepper Face Lift dry wing seasoning the first time. And I don’t recommend sticking your finger into the bag the first time you open it to get a big ole taste. I paid for that. But, the heat does go away pretty quick, fortunately for me.

Buffalo Wild Wings Nashville Hot Wings

I’m a big fan of Nashville hot chicken. I make it often, varying the amount of heat to suit my fancy that day. I was excited to try a bottled sauce with the same flavors: Buffalo Wild Wings Nashville Hot wing sauce! This sauce is tasty, with a hint of smokiness. It’s spicy, but I wouldn’t call it crazy spicy by any means. I’d say it’s just over medium hot…. ish. It reminds me of the real thing but without all the oil.

Buffalo Wild Wings Nashville Hot Wings

Classic Flavor with a Nice Kick

Sometimes I sauce my wings lightly. Sometimes I’m pretty liberal with the sauce. Buffalo Wild Wings Nashville Hot wing sauce is one I definitely go heavy with. I really liked the somewhat earthy, chili flavor and spicy kick. It’s a nice enjoyable sauce that’s different from many of the sauces on the market these days.

Plucker’s Fire in the Hole Wings

You know Plucker’s Fire in the Hole wing sauce is guaranteed to be spicy. Plucker’s backed up the name with great flavors too. Yeah, it’s got great heat. A lot of it, too. I do mean a lot. Blonde Beard’s Holy Hell Wings

I was afraid when I sauced up some hot-out-of-the-deep-fryer wings with Blonde Beard’s Holy Hell wing sauce. Cayenne and scotch bonnet peppers ain’t something to sneeze at. You gotta be careful. Now, I got the heat, oh yes, but the flavor! Oh my! This is one of the tastiest (and pretty dang hot) wing sauces I’ve ever had. Buttery, peppery, it’s just one killer sauce.
