Fricker’s Frickin’ Kicker Wings

If a restaurant sells its own bottled wing sauces, I’m there. You don’t have to tell me twice. You’re standing behind what you make when you also go thru the trouble and expense of bottling it. We were at a Fricker’s the other day, and yep, that meant I had to have some wings and grab some sauce to go. This time I got Fricker’s Frickin’ Kicker wing sauce. Yep, you can guess from the name that there’s gonna be some heat in this sauce, and there was. This is a great, classic Buffalo wing sauce. No fancy modifications to the original, just great vinegar and spices. Perfectly spicy on some wings at the restaurant or wings made at home.

Fricker's Frickin' Kicker Wings

Yeah It’s Got a Kick. A Great Kick.

If you head over to Fricker’s web site you can order some Fricker’s Frickin’ Kicker wing sauce too. Their sauces are very reasonably priced. They currently sell four varieties online, but if you head to a restaurant they’re more than happy to make any sauce you want off the menu ‘to go’. The sauces come in Mason jars and are made fresh, right then and there. It’s awesome!

For a little less heat try Fricker’s hot wings!

Moore’s Spicy Habanero Wings

Spicy and tasty. Moore’s spicy habanero wing sauce checked all of the boxes for me. It made my lips tingle but it wasn’t so hot that I didn’t notice the underlying flavor. I enjoyed the kick and I enjoyed the slight sweetness this sauce brings. I’m not one to want to torture myself with an over-the-top hot sauce. Although this sauce brought some heat I didn’t suffer!

Moore's Spicy Habanero Wings

I’ve Had Hotter, But Not Better

I’ve definitely had hotter sauces than Moore’s spicy habanero wing sauce. But few have been as tasty. It’s a great balance of the two. I didn’t go nuts with it when I sauced up a batch of hot-out-of-the-air-fryer wings. Just enough to notice. They were perfect.

If I am serving my wings with Ranch or blue cheese or some other sauce, I use these little sauce dipping cups. They’re the perfect size for dipping wings, nuggets, tenders and even vegetables. And they’re super easy to clean, too!

Legend Larry’s Scary Larry Wings

I always say ‘it’s been fun’ before I dive into a batch of wings covered in a super-spicy wing sauce. You know, just in case things go sideways. Legend Larry’s Scary Buffalo wing sauce worried me a bit. I mean, it says ‘scary’ right there on the label. Not ‘hot’ or ‘spicy’, but ‘scary’. Heck, it was scaring me. Then I took that first bite of wings tossed in the sauce. Well, first thing was the heat. The spice. The tongue-tingling sensation. Maybe a sneeze or two. Then along came the wonderful, outrageously good flavor. The perfect combination of spices and vinegar sauce, these wings were fantastic. And scary hot.

Legend Larry's Scary Larry Wings

Heat! Glorious Heat!

So what do you do if you’re worried that Legend Larry’s Scary wing sauce is too hot for you? Well, first, accept that it’s going to be hot. Accept that it’s going to tingle your tongue and not for just 2 seconds either. But know that you’re going to taste a delicious sauce too. So go light that first time. Don’t drench your wings in sauce. Lightly coat them. Heck, they don’t have to be glistening in sauce!

La Preferida Extra Hot Wings

You can’t go wrong with a batch of La Preferida extra hot wings. The sauce is what I would call your pretty much standard Buffalo wing sauce. With a good kick. Seasoned perfectly. To be truthful, with a trusted name like La Preferida on the label, I was expecting a little something different. A twist. A little special seasoning. That didn’t happen. But, these are still good wings. If you’re in the market for a good Buffalo wing sauce, this is a great choice.

La Preferida Extra Hot Wings

A Rarity?

I found a bottle of La Preferida extra hot wing sauce at a specialty grocery store in Cincinnati. I can’t find it online anywhere. Heck, I even tried contacting the company to see what the deal is and why I can’t find it anywhere. I wanted to make more La Preferida extra hot wings. I do love a good Buffalo wing sauce and this is up there with all the big names in wing sauces.

Fried. Or Not.

I made my wings my standard fried way. Just a light coating. Fried to perfection. Then sauced. That’s it. Well, that and happiness.

Blonde Beard’s Holy Hell Wings

I was afraid when I sauced up some hot-out-of-the-deep-fryer wings with Blonde Beard’s Holy Hell wing sauce. Cayenne and scotch bonnet peppers ain’t something to sneeze at. You gotta be careful. Now, I got the heat, oh yes, but the flavor! Oh my! This is one of the tastiest (and pretty dang hot) wing sauces I’ve ever had. Buttery, peppery, it’s just one killer sauce. I highly recommend this sauce to any Buffalo wing sauce lover.

Blonde Beard's Holy Hell Wings

A Favorite in this House

So this is the part of my posts where I usually add some brilliant comments about the sauce. Like ‘Blonde Beard’s Holy Hell wing sauce is also great on grilled chicken’. Something like that. And you know, I bet it is great on grilled chicken, but I’m keeping this sauce all for myself and my wings.

Try every flavor from Blonde Beard’s. Get a bottle of each. But get two bottles of the Holy Hell sauce!

Remember that if you have to refrigerate your open bottle of wing sauce to let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.

Ass Kickin’ Habanero Wings

Sometimes you come across a product with a name that implies it might be spicy only to find out that it’s not. Well, let me tell you straight up. These Ass Kickin’ Habanero wings do not lie. They do truly kick your butt. But they do it in style: with flavor. As much as I don’t like to be in pain, these wings brought on the best kind of pain possible.

Ass Kickin' Habanero Wings

Bringing the Heat

I admit it, I went kinda light on the sauce the first time I made some Ass Kickin’ Habanero wings. Hey, I’m no dummy. I tasted it from the bottle first. I loved the flavors. It’s like a traditional Buffalo sauce but oh so much spicier. And tastier. I definitely needed some blue cheese dressing to help me cool off from these wings.

The folks over at Bone Suckin’ sauces make a mighty tasty honey and habanero wings sauce. Give it a try too!

Ass Kickin’ Bacon Wings

Truth is, you’re gonna feel it when you bite into some Ass Kickin’ Bacon wings. The base sauce definitely packs a punch. There’s a slight hint of smoky bacon. I can’t say it’s really ‘bacon forward’. This sauce is based on a great, spicy Buffalo-inspired sauce and that’s its strength. You’re gonna get an ass kickin’ first, and the bacon second!

Ass Kickin' Bacon Wings

Great Flavor and Heat

I really liked the flavor of these Ass Kickin’ Bacon wings. The sauce is a little thinner than you’d expect from a BBQ sauce. It really is more reminiscent of a Buffalo sauce. That’s where it’s roots are and it doesn’t try to hide them. The bacon plays second fiddle to what is a great hot wing sauce.

Anchor Bar Hot Buffalo Wings

I’m pretty sure that if you make your own wings at home, by law, you have to have a few bottles of Anchor Bar Hot Buffalo wing sauce on hand at all times. The medium heat version is a great sauce to serve a crowd. But sometimes someone, maybe you, maybe not, wants some more kick. Well, say hello to the Anchor Bar hot Buffalo wings sauce. Same great flavor, more heat. Win!

Anchor Bar Hot Buffalo Wings

Great Flavor without too much Heat

I wouldn’t call the spicier version of the classic sauce over-the-top spicy. It’s a great sauce with a great kick. It hits you then it sneaks off, leaving you with great flavor and great wings. Anchor Bar Hot Buffalo wings are really good. Finger-licking good. Get a few bottles and keep some on hand at all times. It’s the law!

Shore Lunch Cajun Style Wings

These Shore Lunch Cajun style wings are right up my alley. The breading is out-of-this-world fantastic. Such a wonderful crunch and seasoned to absolute perfection. With a nice essence of Cajun flavor and spiciness. Not overpowering, but there. These wings are truly epic. I could eat these wings all day long! As much as I love air fried wings, or grilled wings, and even baked wings, deep-fried wings are my weakness! You can’t get any easier than these. Or better.

Shore Lunch Cajun Style Wings

Eat ‘Em Naked

These Shore Lunch Cajun Style wings don’t require a dipping sauce. They’re great just as they are! But, if you are up for a dip or two, I recommend having a little cup of Buffalo wing sauce. You gotta be careful, though. You don’t want to hide the wonderful flavor of these wings. The breading is the star of this show. Don’t go ruining it by having a sauce fight with all of that wonderful Cajun flavor!
