Hooter’s Hot Wing Sauce Wings

This is what wings are all about. These Hooter’s hot wing sauce wings (deep fried as they should be!) are as close to the real thing as you can get. Lightly crunchy, super tasty breading. Nicely spicy Buffalo wing sauce. No pain here, just great hot wings. This is not a copycat recipe. These wings are made with the same breading and sauce you can order online or pick up in the retail section at any Hooter’s. Get some, make these wings, and be happy!

Hooter's Hot Wings

Beyond Great

I fry up my Hooter’s hot wing sauce wings 6 or so at a time in a Fry Daddy fryer. It makes perfect wings. Only downside is you can’t select the cook temperature, so I end up cooking my wings a bit longer since the oil is around 325 F. Still it makes for great wings in no time with a lot less oil than if I’d used my big restaurant-style fryer!

If you like to serve your Hooter’s Hot wings with carrots and celery on the side, I recommend that you take a vegetable peeler to remove the outer strings. The celery is oh so much more tender without those pesky things!

Also try some Hooter’s medium wing sauce wings for a little less heat!

Great Value Parmesan Garlic Wing Sauce Wings

I often make my own chicken wing sauces. And then sometimes I don’t. I recently made it a goal of mine to try all of the wing sauces from the big grocery stores in our area: WalMart, Meijer, and Kroger. And far, I’ve been super impressed with the store sauces, like this Great Value Parmesan Garlic wing sauce. It’s thick enough to stick to the wings (it’s very thick, actually!) and it has great Parmesan and garlic flavor.

Great Value Parmesan Garlic Wings

A Great Sauce That’s Great On More Than Wings

Great Value Parmesan garlic wing sauce isn’t just great on wings. I like to roast or grill chicken breasts, chop or slice them, and toss with a bit of this sauce. It makes for the perfect creamy chicken over a salad.

Remember that if you have to refrigerate your open bottle of wing sauce to let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.

Guy Fieri’s Korean BBQ Wing Sauce Wings

I love Asian-inspired chicken wings. Sometimes they’re a little sweet. Sometimes they’re a little spicy. That’s why I decided to pick up a bottle of Guy Fieri’s Korean BBQ wing sauce. This sauce has a teriyaki-like flavor, with plenty of soy sauce. And a little sweet, and a little heat, with hints of ginger and onion. It’s not overly thick and not overly thin, perfect on wings hot off the grill or out of the deep-fryer.

Guy Fieri's Korean BBQ Wings

A Wonderful Asian-Inspired Wing Sauce

I’ve seen around the internet that a few folks have been using Guy Fieri’s Korean BBQ wing sauce as a sauce for smoked or grilled ribs. I think that’s a great idea as this sauce would definitely stand up to being slathered on ribs. I definitely wouldn’t pigeon-hole it as ‘just’ a wing sauce. Heck, slather it on some grilled fish or toss some roasted vegetables in it. It’s that versatile and that good.

Remember that if you have to refrigerate your open bottle of wing sauce to let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.

Guy Fieri’s Buffalo NY Wing Sauce Wings

Maybe I’m in the minority here, but when I see a celebrity’s face on a bottle of wing sauce, or on a package of frozen food, on a restaurant, or on a seasoning shaker, I think I’m in for disappointment. Usually the flavor doesn’t match the hype. Well, color me wrong on this one because Guy Fieri’s Buffalo NY wing sauces more than hit the spot for me. I could not get enough of wings tossed in this sauce. I thought that it’s more than a great version of traditional Buffalo wing sauce, it raises the bar!

Guy Fieri's Buffalo NY Wings

A Better Buffalo-Style Sauce

Guy Fieri’s Buffalo NY wing sauce is going to pass the scrutiny of any hard-core wing aficionado in my opinion. It has the right consistency, the right heat level (medium at most) and definitely the right flavor. The ingredients list reads like many Buffalo wing sauce bottles do. But the combination of them is perfect. I’m impressed.

Frank’s RedHot Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce Wings

Feel that tingle. Feel that burn. Taste those classic flavors. Some spice. Butter flavor. Garlic. Vinegar. Everything you need is here. Frank’s RedHot Hot Buffalo wing sauce wings are super addicting. I was in the hurry for lunch, but not in too big of a hurry that I couldn’t cook up some wings in the air fryer for a bit then toss them in this sauce. A little ranch (or blue cheese to keep it traditional) on the side to cool me down, and I’m one happy guy.

Frank’s RedHot Hot Buffalo Wings

A Great Kick with Great Flavor

There are milder versions of Buffalo sauce, but I find myself coming back to Frank’s RedHot hot Buffalo wing sauce again and again. It has just the right amount of heat for me when I’m searching for a wing with a nice kick to it. I could sit down to a bucket of these wings, some football and a cold adult beverage and be one happy guy for a long, long time.

Fresh Thyme Wild Buffalo Wing Sauce Wings

I’m a big fan of the wing sauces I’ve picked up at our local Fresh Thyme Market. They’ve all been super tasty and at the right price (that’s a win-win!). The Fresh Thyme Wild Buffalo wing sauce is no exception. This sauce is a nice, mellow Buffalo sauce. It’s a mix of great traditional Buffalo wing sauce flavor with a few twists. Worcestershire sauce and molasses make you realize that it’s not just another cayenne pepper sauce.

Fresh Thyme Wild Buffalo Wings

The Right Amount of Heat

Crispy Woodfired Garlic Dry Wings

I made some delicious dry wings the other day using Kinder’s woodfired garlic rub. Man, were they ever insanely good. I fell in love with the roasted garlic flavor. Mixed with other spices, it’s a rich seasoning that is great on any meat. I was craving some deep-fried wings next, so I decided to add some of the seasoning and make my crispy woodfired garlic dry wings. And boy, did they ever deliver on flavor!

Crispy Woodfired Garlic Wings

Easy. Crunchy. And Tasty.

These crispy woodfired garlic dry wings took no time to prepare and cook. And eat for that matter. Kinder’s seasonings and sauces never disappoint. They don’t cut corners when it comes to quality and flavor. All I had to do was mix a little of this packed-with-roasted garlic seasoning with some flour and coat some wings. I let them ‘get happy’ in the fridge for 30 minutes. Then I fried them. That’s it. That’s all it takes to make perfect wings.

Kinder’s Black Cherry Chipotle Dry Wings

Wow. Just wow. I’ve had my share of different flavors of dry wings but these Kinder’s black cherry chipotle wings are different and then some. Tart and sweet, I could not stop eating them. No sauce required. No Ranch or blue cheese dressing required. Just good ole wings and seasoning. I used an air fryer but you can cook them any way you like. Just make sure to load them up on the seasoning because they are delicious.

Kinder's Black Cherry Chipotle Dry Wings

Head To The Spice Aisle

I found this seasoning near a bunch of other seasonings in the store. It wasn’t the ‘Wing Section’ of the store either. This is why it pays to look around and think to yourself ‘would that be good on wings?’. The answer is often yes. It was a definite ‘yes’ when it came to these Kinder’s black cherry chipotle dry wings.

Surprise!

If you’re looking to get some looks of happiness and surprise, serve these wings next time you’re watching the big game with friends. They’ll be more than pleasantly surprised at just how good and different they are.

Kinder’s also makes a black cherry BBQ sauce. It’s great on wings too.

Ranch Wings

I recently spent a few days in lovely Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania while attending a conference. I made sure I had my ‘to-eat’ list down before leaving, because one thing you can be sure of finding in Pittsburgh: good food. At the top of my list was dry Ranch chicken wings.

No, not dry like ‘ewww, this meat is dry’. Dry as in the wings aren’t tossed in sauce after being cooked. Instead they are dusted with seasoning. The end result is almost like roasted chicken, but with much more pronounced flavors. Now that we are back home, I had to make some of the favorites that I devoured in Pittsburgh, like these wings, which I first experienced in our hotel bar.

Ranch Wings

The Perfect Dry Wings

I went with Ranch dressing for the dipping sauce for these wings, but seriously, you can eat them dry, as-is, with no sauce. There’s no need to drown them in sauce, the flavor stands on its own.

Kinder’s Sticky Honey BBQ Sauce Wings

If you have some BBQ sauce and wings on hand, you’re good-to-go. Just cook up those wings, and toss them in the sauce. Wings don’t have to be all Buffalo-style every time. Change it up. One of my favorite ways to do things a little different is to grab whatever BBQ sauce I have sitting around. There’s usually a number of them, too. This time I made some Kinder’s Sticky Honey BBQ sauce wings. This is some good sauce, and it makes for some good wings!

Kinder's Sticky Honey BBQ Sauce Wings

Sweet And Tasty

You know there’s honey in it, so you these Kinder’s Sticky Honey BBQ sauce wings are gonna be on the sweet side. I like sweet wings. Now, if you’re thinking you want a bit of a kick to yours too, add a few drops of your favorite hot sauce to the BBQ sauce first, then sauce your wings. Or keep them sweet like I did.

You almost always get messy when you eat wings. That’s why I didn’t let the ‘sticky’ part worry. Heck it can be as sticky and as messy as it wants to be. In fact, the more of both the better.

Just Make Some Wings

I’m gonna say it doesn’t really matter how you cook your wings here. But it kinda does. Don’t season your wings with anything that ends up ‘fighting’ with this sauce. Sure, a little salt and pepper are ok. And even a bit of cayenne if you want some heat. But nothing so overwhelming that it changes the taste of the sauce or worse, completely overwhelms it. Enjoy the sauce. That’s why you bought it!
