Pretty Thai Muay Thai Sauce Wings

These Pretty Thai Muay Thai sauce wings are exactly why it pays to wander around your grocery store with an eye out for anything that might make good on wings. I picked up some of the Pretty Thai sauces in the Asian section. Sure, I had stir-fry on the brain too, but first and foremost I thought of only one thing. Wings. So I made up a quick batch of easy wings, tossed them in some sauce and got to it!

Pretty Thai Muay Thai Wings

Get Funky With It

These Pretty Thai Muay Thai sauce wings have a nice lip-tingling citrus tang that you get pretty early on. And there’s a little of that great fish sauce ‘funkiness’. That umami flavor you don’t find much anywhere else. And oh yes, a bit of heat from Thai chili. It’s got a nice spice level to it, I really liked it.

This sauce may seem a little thin. It was meant for stir-fry and the like. But it works just fine on wings.

Plucker’s Spicy Mandarin Wing Sauce Wings

Now this is different. Take a bite of Plucker’s Spicy Mandarin wing sauce and you’ll instantly taste orange and soy sauce. Not overwhelming flavors, but you won’t go hunting for them, that’s for sure. This is a nice change from the sweet chili or teriyaki sauce Asian-inspired wing sauces you usually find. Not that there’s anything wrong with those.

Plucker's Spicy Mandarin Wings

Decidedly Different. And Delicious.

I picked up eighteen different bottles of wing sauce from Plucker’s. It’s a wing restaurant based out of Austin, Texas. Every single sauce, like Plucker’s spicy mandarin wing sauce, has been fantastic. So many different exciting flavors in bottle after bottle. And it’s all quality stuff, too! I’d better get to making more wings!

Remember that if you have to refrigerate your open bottle of wing sauce to let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.

Also try Plucker’s Teriykai wing sauce wings! They’re great too!

Plucker’s Jamango Jerk Wing Sauce Wings

What an enjoyable experience it is, sitting down to a big ole batch of wings covered in Plucker’s Jamango Jerk wing sauce. Kind of like a Caribbean BBQ sauce. You get mild mango flavor, a little heat, and just the right amount of jerk seasoning flavor. That’s important for me because jerk seasoning, when applied heavily, can be a bit much because of the allspice. This sauce has just the perfect amount.

Plucker's Jamango Jerk Wings

A Great Balance Of Island Flavors

Plucker’s Jamango Jerk wing sauce is another one of my top favorite sauces. But it’s not just for wings, that’s for sure. It’s fantastic slathered on grilled chicken. And absolutely great on smoked ribs. Anywhere you normally might use a store-bought BBQ sauce, use this wing sauce instead.

Remember that if you refrigerate your open bottle of wing sauce to let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.

Plucker’s Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce Wings

It’s from Plucker’s, so I knew this sauce would be amazing. And the bottle does say ‘hot’ on it, so I knew this sauce would be spicy. The key to a great wing sauce is to balance the spicy with flavor, and this hot Buffalo wing sauce does that perfectly. Yeah, it brings some heat, but it tastes so good and that’s critical. No one wants a crazy hot sauce that doesn’t taste great. This one does.

Plucker's Hot Buffalo Wings

Spicy But Not Crazy Hot

Even if you’re not really into super spicy wing sauces, I think you’ll like Plucker’s hot Buffalo wing sauce. Sure, it has a kick. But if you go light on it, I think you’ll love your wings. Hey, do like I did and have some cool Ranch or blue cheese dressing on hand if necessary.

The Fresh Thyme Wild Buffalo wing sauce is no exception. This sauce is a nice, mellow Buffalo sauce. It’s a mix of great traditional Buffalo wing sauce flavor with a few twists.

Moore’s Spicy Habanero Wing Sauce Wings

Spicy and tasty. Moore’s spicy habanero wing sauce checked all of the boxes for me. It made my lips tingle but it wasn’t so hot that I didn’t notice the underlying flavor. I enjoyed the kick and I enjoyed the slight sweetness this sauce brings. I’m not one to want to torture myself with an over-the-top hot sauce. Although this sauce brought some heat I didn’t suffer!

Moore's Spicy Habanero Wings

I’ve Had Hotter, But Not Better

I’ve definitely had hotter sauces than Moore’s spicy habanero wing sauce. But few have been as tasty. It’s a great balance of the two. I didn’t go nuts with it when I sauced up a batch of hot-out-of-the-air-fryer wings. Just enough to notice. They were perfect.

If I am serving my wings with Ranch or blue cheese or some other sauce, I use these little sauce dipping cups. They’re the perfect size for dipping wings, nuggets, tenders and even vegetables. And they’re super easy to clean, too!

Louisiana Brand The Original Wing Sauce Wings

I’ve been a card-carrying member of the Louisiana-Brand hot sauce lover’s club for a long time. I love the flavor and I love the heat level. It’s just a great sauce. That’s why when I saw an ad for their new wing sauce pop up on my Facebook feed, I jumped all over it. I didn’t hesitate. What if they sold out? What if I have to wait months? Fear and passion drove me to order a few bottles. And oh boy. Louisiana Brand The Original wing sauce is gooooood! Just like the hot sauce, great flavor, great heat.

Louisiana Brand The Original Wings

The Right Spicy

I would call the heat level of Louisiana Brand The Original wing sauce to be fairly middle-of-the-road spicy. Not too spicy, but noticeable. The heat does not drown out the fantastic pepper flavors, and that’s a major win in my book. This is what a proper wing sauce should be.

Lillie’s Q BBQ Aioli Sauce Wings

Yee-yowsa! You’re talking about some great wings here. I devoured my plate of Lillie’s Q BBQ aioli sauce wings. Boy I really wish I’d made more. This BBQ and mustard sauce hit the spot for me. It’s a creamy sauce. Not one of them traditional vinegary ones. It’s a wonderful mayonnaise concoction. A combination of a lightly smoky BBQ sauce and mustard. But not too much of either. You know how mustard can get .. … too mustardy? Well not here. It’s perfect. I could just pour this sauce in a bowl and grab a spoon it’s just that good.

Lillie's Q BBQ Aioli Wings

Tender Sauce

I know the bottle says ‘tender sauce’. But when I hear chicken tenders, I think chicken wings instead. Good call on my part because tossing some hot wings in this sauce was brilliant. If you’re looking for something different, something creamy, make some Lillie’s Q BBQ aioli sauce wings. But make sure you make plenty of them, because they’ll disappear like that!

Also try some Lillie’s Q white BBQ sauce wings!

Legend Larry’s Teriyaki Wing Sauce Wings

Legend Larry’s makes some absolutely terrific wing sauces. I’ve enjoyed them all, again and again. Their Teriyaki wing sauce, though, is something above and beyond absolutely terrific. This is a big favorite in our house. We always look forward to a batch of wings covered in this sauce. It’s nice and thick, but not gloppy. It’s likely sweet, but not cloyingly so. It has that traditional teriyaki flavor, but it’s not so strong that it overpowers your senses. It’s the perfect balance of everything you want and need in a wing sauce.

Legend Larry's Teriyaki Wings

Asian-Inspired Wing Greatness

You could sure put this sauce on a stir fry, or use it as a dipping sauce for nuggets. Or on a grilled chicken sandwich. But for me, Legend Larry’s Teriyaki wing sauce is a hands-down true winner on wings. And it’s one of my wife’s favorites too. That says a lot. She’s picky about her wing sauces, and she’d pick Legend Larry’s any day of the week.

Kosmos Q General Tso Wing Sauce Wings

When I first opened and tasted Kosmos Q General Tso wing sauce I thought “Whoa, that’s definitely got some soy sauce in it.” Was it too much? I marched forward, making a big ole batch of wings that I promptly tossed in the sauce. I took my first bite and … Boom! What a great sauce! Oh my!

Kosmos Q General Tso wing sauce is one of if not the best Asian-inspired wing sauces around. There’s a hint of rice vinegar, and soy sauce (but definitely not too much!), and garlic. It’s a nice stick-to-your wing sauce (thanks in part to a bit of molasses).

Kosmos Q General Tso Wings

One Fantastic Wing Sauce

My wife loves Asian-like sauces. Kosmos Q General Tso wing sauce rocketed to the top of her list of favorites with the first bite. She’s not the wing fan I am, so she used the sauce for dipping nuggets. It’s perfect on nuggets, too, since it has just the right thickness for dipping.

Kroger Korean BBQ Style Wing Sauce Wings

If you’ve never had Korean BBQ sauce, I highly recommend it. For someone who grew up on traditional American-style ketchup BBQ sauces, I find the Asian-inspired Kroger version to be just different enough and downright tasty. Soy sauce, garlic, and a little cayenne for heat make a nice sauce that is just the right thickness for wings. And for the price (on sale for around $2 if you’re lucky) you definitely cannot beat Kroger Korean BBQ Style wing sauce!

Kroger Korean BBQ Style Wings

Asian-Inspired Wing Greatness

I’ve made my own Korean BBQ style wing sauce a number of times. I love homemade sauces. And I love bottled sauces. Especially when they are as good as Kroger Korean BBQ Style Wings sauce.

This sauce is also fantastic as a dipping sauce for chicken nuggets or tenders. It’s also great on burgers, and hot dogs. I love BBQ-like sauces on hot dogs. Add onions (fresh or deep fried) and I’m one happy hot dog-eatin’ guy!

Remember that if you have to refrigerate your open bottle of wing sauce to let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.
