Cravin’ Cajun Wings

I usually make my own sauce when it comes to Cajun-flavored chicken wings. But, for something new I grabbed a bottle of Cravin’ Cajun Wing Sauce from Louisiana Fish Fry Products. Our local grocery store has a number of Cajun-seasoned items. Thankfully. Cravin’ Cajun wing sauce has a nice hot sauce kick to it, sort of like a traditional wing sauce, but with some great southern spice.

Cravin Cajun Wings

Great Flavor In Every Bite

So I just made up a batch of wings my usual way, cooking them on the Char-Broil Big Easy for a bit. You can also make them on a grill, smoker, in the oven or in a deep fryer. Then I tossed them in some Cravin’ Cajun wing sauce sauce and served them with Ranch dipping sauce. Easy. Great.

Want a really great way to cook up a huge batch of kickin’ good chicken nuggets? Just heat your favorite frozen pre-cooked nuggets as the package says, then put them in a large bowl. Pour on the Cravin’ Cajun sauce and toss to coat. Perfect for a huge party and down-right absolutely delicious!

Buffalo Wild Wings Medium Buffalo Wings

I think I may have overdone it here recently. I’ve been eating a lot of really, really spicy wings. Ya know, the kind that make your eyes water. Time for a welcome break. Time for some great tasting Buffalo-inspired wings that don’t burn off the roof of my mouth. Thanks to the fine folks at B-Dubs (uh, that’s Buffalo Wild Wings in case you aren’t up on the lingo), I got just what I wanted in their not-so-much heat Buffalo wing sauce.

Buffalo Wild Wings Medium Buffalo Wings

The Perfect Tame Sauce

Buffalo Wild Wings Medium Buffalo wing sauce is going to pretty much satisfy everyone you know. Or have met. Or will meet. It’s not in-your-face anything, just the right amount of vinegar, just the right amount of spiciness, and just the right consistency. And it’s a welcome break from those crazy hot wing sauces, that’s for sure.

Remember that if you have to refrigerate your open bottle of wing sauce to let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.

Also try Buffalo Wild Wing’s mild Buffalo wings for a little less heat.

Wing Master Mega Garlic Wings

If you are in the Gatlinburg, Tennessee, area make it a point to swing by a Pepper Palace store. They have several stores in the area, including a new one in Sevierville in an area called The Island. The store is packed with hot sauces and salsas, from the hot to the mild. Me, I always head straight to the wing sauces and in particular, Pepper Palace’s own line of Wing Master wing sauces, including this Mega Garlic wing sauce.

Wing Master Mega Garlic Wings

Tons Of Garlic. Like You’d Expect.

As soon as we returned from our recent trip I threw a few seasoned wings onto my Weber Performer grill outfitted with the Vortex insert. When the wings were done I tossed them with the Mega Garlic sauce and dug in. The Mega Garlic wing sauce has, as you might guess, a tremendous garlic flavor. And not just a bit of garlic either. Hence the word ‘mega’ in the name. It’s loaded with garlic. Tons of it. Lovely, great yummy garlic. With a bit of a wing sauce kick, too. It’s a very enjoyable sauce. I definitely wish that I’d picked up a few more bottles!

Pepper Palace Is Flavor Heaven

Pepper Palace makes a ton of great sauces and seasonings, not just for wings. Find a store near you and spend an hour or two wandering the shelves. They always have an area where you can sample sauces and spices, too. It’s like flavor heaven. Instead, if there’s not one near you, take a road trip (it’ll be worth it) or order online.

Also try some Wing Master Ranch wings.

Wing Master Ranch Wings

Whenever my wife and I are in the Gatlinburg, Tennessee, area we always make it a point to swing by a Pepper Palace store. They have several stores in the area, including a new one in Sevierville in an area called The Island. We also usually end up at one of the stores in downtown Gatlinburg. The stores always seem busy. People everywhere are enjoying samples of the hot sauces and salsas, from the hot to the mild. Me, I headed straight to the wing sauces and in particular, Pepper Palace’s own line of Wing Master sauces, including this Ranch wing sauce.

So, as soon as we returned from our trip I threw a few seasoned wings onto my Weber Performer grill outfitted with the Vortex insert. When the wings were done I tossed them with the Ranch sauce and dug in. The sauce is mellow with a hint of Ranch flavors. There’s a slight wing sauce kick, but again, not overwhelming. It’s a very enjoyable sauce, that won’t scare off anyone that doesn’t like hot hot wings.

Wing Master Ranch Wings

A Wonderfully Tasty Mellow Sauce

Pepper Palace has a wide range of sauces, from the extremely hot to the nice and mellow. The Ranch wing sauce is nice and mellow with not a lot of heat. I seasoned the wings with your standard Ranch dressing seasoning mix, which complimented the sauce flavors perfectly. And since I was on a Ranch theme, might as well have some Ranch salad dressing for dipping!

Schnucks Spicy Garlic Wings

We drove to Bloomington, IL for a few days and went over to Bloomington, IL to do a little antiquing. Our hotel was next door to a grocery store, a regional chain named Schnucks. This of course meant I had to go on a wing sauce hunt. Did I make out like a bandit! Schnuck’s has a big selection of its own brand of wing sauces. I grabbed a bottle of each one. The lady at the checkout didn’t even blink an eye at my conveyor belt full of sauces rolling slowly towards her. When we got home I made a batch of easy air fryer wings and sauced them up. I loved these Schnucks Spicy Garlic wings!

Schnucks Spicy Garlic Wings

Nice Flavor. Great Heat.

These Schnucks Spicy Garlic wings hit the spot. They aren’t super spicy but they do make you sit up and notice. And they do have a nice garlic hit, too. Enough to make you notice that too. I was more than happy with the flavor. And I’ll tell you, you can’t beat the price either. Next time we’re anywhere near a Schnucks I’m stopping by and grabbing some more of this sauce and all their others!

Schnucks also makes a delicious honey BBQ wing sauce!

Rib Rack Buffalo Wings

If you’re looking for a nice, clean, tasty wing sauce that packs in original Buffalo-style flavors, this is it. My Rib Rack Buffalo wings hit the spot. Nothing crazy going on here. Just simple, easy wings. Tossed in sauce. And devoured. Heck, that’s what we’re all here for, right? The good stuff!

Rib Rack Buffalo Wings

On Top. On The Side. Or Both.

This time, I tossed my Rib Rack Buffalo wings in sauce. But I don’t always do that. Sometimes I put the sauce on the side, in a little cup. Then I dunk my wings to my heart’s content. A little dip. Or a big dip. Heck, it’s my cup of sauce, so I’ll even double dip. Or triple. Life is good when it’s your wings and your sauce.

Also try some medium Buffalo wings from The Dirty Buffalo.

Schnucks Hatch Pepper Wings

We stopped at a Schnucks grocery store on a recent trip to Illinois. I’d never been to a Schnucks. And boy oh boy did I ever hit the wing sauce jackpot there! Schnucks has their own brand of bottled sauces. All sorts of flavors. I grabbed one of each and when I got home I got to making some wings (and saucing them!). Sadly, there is an end to my journey and it came today when I made some Schnucks Hatch Pepper wings. The last bottle of sauce in my pantry. And definitely one of the best!

Schnucks Hatch Pepper Wings

Crazy Delicious

I might have been living under a rock, but it wasn’t until a few years ago that I was introduced to hatch peppers. I loved them at first bite. So much so that I ordered a case of them! They are so flavorful. Without a tremendous amount of heat. It’s that delicate balance that I really enjoy. And that’s why I loved these Schnucks Hatch Pepper wings so much. The right amount of hatch pepper flavor. A little heat (but not too much). All in a sauce with the right consistency. This is a delicious sauce and a great way to end (for now) my trip thru the fine wing sauces from Schnucks.

Private Selection Peach Carolina Reaper Wings

Here we are again. Another great wing sauce. This is not the first time I’ve been highly impressed with a wing sauce from Private Selection. I found it at Kroger. Each and every bottle has been packed with excitingly new flavors. Like this Private Selection Peach Carolina Reaper wing sauce. Oh it’s spicy. If you’re not familiar with the Carolina Reaper, it’s one of the hottest peppers in the world. I admit it, I was a bit apprehensive taking my first taste of this sauce. Oh, it’s hot, but it’s not just spicy. It’s wonderfully sweet, with a hint of peaches. I really like this sauce. Despite it being on the hot side!

Private Selection Peach Carolina Reaper Wings

Spicy. And Oh So Tasty.

I’ve found myself using Private Selection Peach Carolina Reaper wing sauce on more than just wings. I love it drizzled on fried chicken. And it makes for a crazy good crazy spicy dipping sauce for chicken nuggets too. And what goes better with pork than peaches? Yep, brush it on grilled pork chops or pork loin too!

Private Selection Hawaiian Pineapple Wings

I am a big fan of the Private Selection (Kroger’s premium brand) line of wing sauces. I’ve tried them all and I love them all! The Private Selection Hawaiian Pineapple wing sauce is no exception. It’s a wonderful combination of pineapple, coconut and just a hint of heat. It’s as if you were chowing down on wings in the tropics! I like this sauce not only because it tastes so good but also because it’s different. It’s not like what I usually find on chicken wings.

Private Selection Hawaiian Pineapple Wings

A Great Sauce, Great On Everything!

Private Selection Hawaiian Pineapple wing sauce isn’t just a great sauce for wings, either. It’s great for dipping shrimp and chicken nuggets too! And I think it’d be great on a rack of smoked or grilled ribs for sure!

Private Selection Hot Mandarin Wings

I am completely sold on the Private Selection (Kroger’s premium brand) line of wing sauces. Whomever came up with the flavors deserves a raise in my book. Each one has been fantastic, and believe me I’ve tried them all. The Private Selection Hot Mandarin wing sauce is no exception. It’s a wonderful combination of scotch bonnet peppers, garlic and mandarin oranges. Also, it packs a little punch and brings a little sweet. It’s very, very tasty and makes for cool looking wings!

Private Selection Hot Mandarin Wings

Spicy. But Not Crazy Spicy.

If you’re worried about the scotch bonnet peppers being too hot, don’t be. Granted, I do like a bit of heat, and Private Selection Hot Mandarin wing sauce brings it, but it’s not overwhelming.
