Frank’s RedHot Stingin’ Honey Garlic Wing Sauce Wings

You might just know Frank’s RedHot for their bottled Buffalo wing sauce. Well, let me tell you, they make a lot more than ‘just’ that! Frank’s RedHot Stingin’ Honey Garlic wing sauce is fantastic (too)! It’s a nice thick sauce, with just a hint of spiciness. You get a good dose of sweetness, too. And a touch of garlic. It makes for a great tangy chicken wing, for sure!

Frank's RedHot Stingin' Honey Garlic Wings

A Great Sauce For More Than Just Wings

I have chicken wings on the brain pretty much 24 hours a day. But I read somewhere where someone tried Frank’s RedHot Stingin’ Honey Garlic wing sauce on egg rolls. That would be the perfect match for this sauce (too)! Darn it, I wish I’d bought more. Well, I’m off to the store again. Get you some too, you’ll love it.

Remember that if you have to refrigerate your open bottle of wing sauce to let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.

Also try some Frank’s RedHot Stingin’ Honey garlic dry wings.

Anchonero Hot BBQ Wings

One thing that I love about chicken wings is that there isn’t just one perfect combination of rub. Or sauce. There are an infinite number of great wings. These Anchonero Hot BBQ wings using AlbuKirky seasoning and sauce are just another example of a perfect combination of a spicy southwestern rub and sauce.

Ancho And Habanero Peppers

A little heat and a little sweet, you’d think I hadn’t eaten in a month when I devoured these Anchonero Hot BBQ wings. ‘Anchonero’  is a combination of ‘ancho’ and ‘habanero’ chiles. You get great chile pepper flavor in every bite, that’s for sure. I found the spice level to be great, not too hot but definitely not mild either.

Anchonero Hot BBQ Wings

Say ‘Hi’ to Kirk at AlbuKirky Seasonings

The Anchonero Hot BBQ I used on these wings comes from AlbuKirky Seasonings, in yep, you guessed it, Albuquerque, New Mexico. They have lots of southwestern-flavored rubs and sauces and jellies. Check them out, you’ll love them all!

Cajun Bay Wings

A few weeks ago I made a beer-can chicken recipe that used a 50/50 combination of Cajun seasoning and Old Bay seasoning. I instantly fell in love with the combination. A little heat, a little sweet, cloves, allspice, paprika… just about all you could imagine. I knew right then and there that I wanted to use the same mix on chicken wings. And so my Cajun Bay chicken wings were born. And oh how good they were. I served them dry, not sauced. Just that great combination of Cajun and Old Bay seasonings, with a little Ranch dressing on the side for dipping. The flavor combination was fantastic, and one you will see here again soon.

Cajun Bay Wings

One Deliciously Different Wing

Once the wings are cooked, you can dust them with more of the Cajun and Old Bay mix if you want even more pronounced flavors. I skipped it since my wife isn’t quite the fan of Old Bay as I am. She doesn’t like cloves or allspice so much. That’s one nice thing about this mix. You still get those flavors, but they are toned down a bit because of the addition of the Cajun seasoning.

Also try my honey Old Bay wings.

Kosmos Q Buffalo Hot Wing Dust Wings

Oh how I’ve enjoyed the sauces and seasonings that I bought from Kosmos Q. Every single one has been packed with flavor. And quality. Kosmos Q Buffalo Hot Wings dust wings are absolutely no exception, with traditional flavors and a really nice spicy kick. Though I use it to pre-season wings too, I really prefer it on ‘dry’ wings, dusting them right after they are cooked. Still-hot wings love dry seasoning. And so do I.

Kosmos Q Buffalo Wing Dust Wings

Super-Flavorful Dry Wings

You can be shy with your wing dust or you can go heavy with it. I’ve found that Kosmos Q Buffalo Hot Wing dust wings are so packed with flavor, I can go light and still enjoy a fantastic dish. The wings don’t need to be drowning in seasoning to be special. You still want to taste chicken, after all!

Make sure you seal your wing seasonings well after using. You don’t want any moisture sneaking in. Kosmos Q comes in quality pouches that seal perfectly!

Private Selection Hot Mandarin Wing Sauce Wings

I am completely sold on the Private Selection (Kroger’s premium brand) line of wing sauces. Whomever came up with the flavors deserves a raise in my book. Each one has been fantastic, and believe me I’ve tried them all. The Private Selection Hot Mandarin wing sauce is no exception. It’s a wonderful combination of scotch bonnet peppers, garlic and mandarin oranges. Also, it packs a little punch and brings a little sweet. It’s very, very tasty and makes for cool looking wings!

Private Selection Hot Mandarin Wings

Spicy. But Not Crazy Spicy.

If you’re worried about the scotch bonnet peppers being too hot, don’t be. Granted, I do like a bit of heat, and Private Selection Hot Mandarin wing sauce brings it, but it’s not overwhelming.

Remember that if you have to refrigerate your open bottle of wing sauce to let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.

Meijer Spicy Garlic Wing Sauce Wings

Meijer makes some mighty good wing sauces. As a double bonus, they’re not pricey either, like some of them fru-fru bottled sauces that aren’t even as yummy! Meijer Spicy Garlic wing sauce is just that: spicy garlicky! It’s not overly spicy. And it’s not overly garlicky. But you can definitely get that great garlic flavor. It’s finger-lickin’ good!

Meijer Spicy Garlic Wings

Definitely Garlicky. Definitely Good.

Meijer Spicy Garlic wing sauce doesn’t taste like bottled sauce. That’s important. And it isn’t too thin or thick. That’s important too. Oh, and it’s also great on grilled chicken! Just brush some on right before the chicken is done, then let it set up for a few minutes longer to get a nice glaze on it.

Legend Larry’s Scary Larry Wing Sauce Wings

I always say ‘it’s been fun’ before I dive into a batch of wings covered in a super-spicy wing sauce. You know, just in case things go sideways. Legend Larry’s Scary Buffalo wing sauce worried me a bit. I mean, it says ‘scary’ right there on the label. Not ‘hot’ or ‘spicy’, but ‘scary’. Heck, it was scaring me. Then I took that first bite of wings tossed in the sauce. Well, first thing was the heat. The spice. The tongue-tingling sensation. Maybe a sneeze or two. Then along came the wonderful, outrageously good flavor. The perfect combination of spices and vinegar sauce, these wings were fantastic. And scary hot.

Legend Larry's Scary Larry Wings

Heat! Glorious Heat!

So what do you do if you’re worried that Legend Larry’s Scary wing sauce is too hot for you? Well, first, accept that it’s going to be hot. Accept that it’s going to tingle your tongue and not for just 2 seconds either. But know that you’re going to taste a delicious sauce too. So go light that first time. Don’t drench your wings in sauce. Lightly coat them. Heck, they don’t have to be glistening in sauce!

Kroger Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce Wings

Kroger has a line of low-priced wing sauces that don’t disappoint. These aren’t your fru-fru, big money sauces. They’re basic and cheap, and are perfect for saucing large batches of wings without breaking the bank. Kroger Hot Buffalo wing sauce isn’t too terribly hot (to me) but it does pack a nice punch. You won’t be on your knees crying in pain, but you’ll get a kick. Trust me.

Kroger Hot Buffalo Wings

Hot, But Not Crazy Hot

Kroger’s Hot Buffalo wing sauce is also great as a dipping sauce for chicken nuggets. You can also mix it with cooked shredded chicken for a great Buffalo chicken sandwich. Grab all of the Kroger wing sauce flavors!

June Moon Jamaican Jerk Wing Sauce Wings

The bottle doesn’t have to say ‘wing sauce’ to mean it’s only for wings. These June Moon Jamaican Jerk wing sauce wings are proof of that. Once again, the June Moon Spice Company has packed only the freshest of ingredients into a fantastic sauce. Not overwhelming, this jerk sauce adds tremendous flavor to wings (or roasted or grilled chicken for that matter). Oh, and yes the sauce smells fantastic. You can’t have a great jerk sauce without that wonderful aroma!

June Moon Jamaican Jerk Wings

Fantastic Island-Inspired Wings

June Moon Jamaican Jerk wing sauce wings bring that jerk flavor because the sauce is packed with ingredients that go into an authentic sauce. You got your garlic, ginger, cinnamon… Brown sugar, lime juice, apple cider vinegar… And of course, all spice. But not too much. I’ve had some jerk sauces that had so much all spice in them I almost passed out. Not here. Just the right amount for me.

If I am serving my wings with Ranch or blue cheese or some other sauce, I use these little sauce dipping cups. They’re the perfect size for dipping wings, nuggets, tenders and even vegetables.

Heritage Fare Garlic Wing Sauce Wings

Sometimes I make my own wing sauces, and sometimes I buy wing sauces from the local grocery store (or online). I love the variety. I recently picked up a bottle of Heritage Fare’s garlic wing sauce. Think Buffalo wing sauce, but with a really great garlic hit. Seriously, this sauce is drink-it-out-of-the-bottle good.

Heritage Fare Garlic Wings

A Great Classic Kicked Up With Garlic

On the off chance that you have leftover wing sauce (be it Heritage Fare’s garlic wing sauce or any other brand), in most cases you’ll have to refrigerate it until you make your next batch of wings. When you do, make sure you warm it a bit before tossing it with your hot wings. You definitely don’t want to put a cold sauce over hot wings.

Remember that if you have to refrigerate your open bottle of wing sauce to let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.
