Wing Master Honey Garlic Wing Sauce Wings

I always swing by a Pepper Palace store whenever I can. Last time, I was in Sevierville, TN, which meant time to spend some quality time at the store at what is known as The Island. Boy did I ever back up the truck on sauces, including this Wing Master Honey Garlic wing sauce. This could easily be one of the best wing sauces I’ve ever had. I cannot get enough of it. The Asian-inspired, slightly sweet, lightly spicy flavors are amazing. This is truly a finger-licking good wing sauce.

Wing Master Honey Garlic Wings

Garlicky Sweetness

Pepper Palace’s Wing Master Honey Garlic wing sauce is great for dipping nuggets too. Or slathered on grilled chicken. On grilled veggies. Pretty much anything is better with this thick (but not too thick) sauce on it, in it, or dipped in it.

And yes, I lick up any sauce on the bottom of my plate after I finish off my wings. I’m not letting any of this stuff go to waste!

Run, Don’t Walk, To A Pepper Palace Near You!

Pepper Palace makes a ton of great sauces and seasonings, not just for wings. Find a store near you and spend an hour or two wandering the shelves. They always have an area where you can sample sauces and spices, too. It’s like flavor heaven. Instead, if there’s not one near you, take a road trip (it’ll be worth it) or order online.

Simple Truth Organic Mild Buffalo Wing Sauce Wings

I wanted to like all of the wing sauces from Simple Truth, Kroger’s line of organic products. But I could not bring myself to do it. I missed flavor. I wanted more. And, I wanted thicker. Sorry, but these Simple Truth Organic Mild Buffalo wing sauce wings just didn’t quite get it for me. They were close, and they weren’t bad, they just didn’t wow me.

Simple Truth Organic Mild Buffalo Wings

Well… They Aren’t Perfect…

I suppose I should cut these Simple Truth Organic Mild Buffalo wing sauce wings a bit of slack. The sauce does have nothing but good ingredients in it, and you can’t fault that. But oh, do I wish it was thicker and had more flavor. Then I would’ve been happy. Right now, well, I’m kind of sad.

Tellin’ It Like I See It

This blog isn’t all about the sauces I love. That’s why I posted this. Heck, you might look at it and give it a try, and love it. If you do, that’s great! Let me know and I’ll be happy to post an opposing review.

Simple Truth Organic Medium Buffalo Wing Sauce Wings

I’m sorry. I tried. I really tried. But I just could not make these Simple Truth Organic Medium Buffalo wing sauce wings work for me. I’m a nice guy. I gave them a chance. I made them two days in a room, two different ways, to make sure that it wasn’t me. Maybe I had a cold, I thought. Maybe the humidity was affecting my taste buds. But no, they still lacked something. The sauce starts out making me think that it’s a thin French salad dressing, with only a bit of flavor. Then there is heat next, and it’s good. I like the heat level I have to say. And there’s a little more flavor at that point. I just can’t get past that early… meh.

Simple Truth Organic Medium Buffalo Wings

Don’t Stop Believing

Now, don’t let these Simple Truth Organic Medium Buffalo wing sauce wings stop you from trying other flavors in this line of ‘clean’ sauces from Kroger. I’ve had great success and a lot of great batches of wings tossed in the other flavors. I just wanted happy with this one. But you know, we’re all different, and maybe (just maybe) you’ll like it! Let me know if you do! Or don’t.

Pretty Thai Peanut Sauce Wings

My brain works a bit differently than most. When I see a peanut sauce, I don’t think egg rolls or stir fry. I think wings. First thing that pops into my head is wings. Last thing, too, for that matter. Pretty Thai Peanut sauce wings are lightly peanut-y, with hints of vinegar, garlic, Tamarind, and just a slight bit of spiciness. They’re definitely finger-lickingly good wings.

Pretty Thai Peanut Sauce Wings

A Great Dippin’ Sauce, Too

This is a thinner sauce. If you want extra sauce on your Pretty Thai Peanut Sauce wings, I recommend serving it on the side in little cups for dipping. You’ll definitely find yourself enjoying the great Asian-inspired flavors even more.

Sauce your wings while they are hot. If you’re using a bottle of sauce that you had in the fridge, make sure you set it out on the counter for a bit before using it. Last thing you want to do is put super cold sauce on super hot wings. The wings won’t be hot long if you do.

Market District Zesty Dill Pickle Wing Sauce Wings

These Market District Zesty Dill Pickle wing sauce wings are… dill-icious! There, I said it. I knew I would. The name says it all. Zesty. Dill. Pickle. They aren’t lying, nope. I’m a huge fan of dill pickles, especially the juice left in the jars after I devour all of the pickles. Boy does it ever make for good chicken wing marinade! But I digress! Now I can get all of that great dill flavor, now in a bottled wing sauce that is yummy creamy to boot!!

Market District Zesty Dill Pickle Wings

Different. And Very Good.

There’s no mistaking the dill flavor in the Market District Zesty Dill Pickle wing sauce. That’s what we’re here for, right? We didn’t pick up a bottle of this sauce expecting Thai-inspired flavors. Or traditional Buffalo wing flavors. Nope, we’re here for that in-your-face dill and vinegar flavor that we all know and love! Get you some, fellow pickle lovers!

Market District Sweet Honey Garlic Wing Sauce Wings

“You should’ve bought more of this sauce. A lot more.” Those were the first words out of my wife’s mouth after taking her first bite of the Market District Sweet Honey Garlic wing sauce wings I made. As always, she was right. I shouldn’t have brought home just one bottle. It didn’t last long at all. We both enjoyed this sweet, thick sauce that is absolutely packed with the perfect amount of garlic. Yep, lots of garlic, just like we like it. A small hint of soy sauce and ginger round out what is a great sweet Asian-inspired wing sauce.

Market District Sweet Honey Garlic Wings

Plenty Of Garlicky Sweetness

These Market District Sweet Honey Garlic wing sauce wings are like they say, sweet, without any spicy kick. A little garlic ‘punch’ is all the kick you’re going to get. And plenty of sweet, finger-lickingly good flavor. If you’re looking for a great alternative to your usual Buffalo-inspired spicy wing sauce, this is it.

Chef Hak’s Buffalo Wing Sauce Wings

For the record, I apparently live in a cave. Where there’s no news from the outside. So I hadn’t heard of Chef Hak before I picked up a bottle of Chef Hak’s Buffalo wing sauce. Since then I’ve found that he’s a health-conscious person, with a large line of prepared foods and sauces. And it shows that he is focused on flavor, too. Because this is one tasty sauce. You’d might not even know or think about that other stuff. And don’t worry, it’s a nice middle-of-the-road-spicy sauce. Not too mellow and not too over-the-top.

Chef Hak's Buffalo Wings

One Tasty Sauce

Chef Hak’s Buffalo wing sauce is a tad bit on the thin side. Not so thin that it won’t stick to your wings. But, if you like your wings super sauce I’d suggest that you have bit of extra sauce in a lil bowl on the side for dipping your wings if you get the urge.

Schnucks Medium Buffalo Wing Sauce Wings

We recently took a few days off and drove from Indiana into Illinois. Our trip was centered around hitting a few antique malls around Bloomington, IL. But, as luck would have it, our hotel was right by a Schnucks a regional grocery store. I knew exactly that that meant: regional grocery store wing sauces! Woo hoo! The last day of our trip we stopped by the store at around 7am. We were the only ones there. I grabbed a bottle of each and every wing sauce they had. The checkout lady must’ve thought I was nuts. When we got home, I got to making wings. And boy, what a great time it was too! My Schnucks medium Buffalo wing sauce wings hit the spot. What a great sauce! And at a great price, too!

Schnucks Medium Buffalo Sauce Wings

What It’s About

There’s nothing fancy going on with these Schnucks Medium Buffalo wing sauce wings. I made a batch of wings. I tossed them in the sauce. Then, I enjoyed the heck out of them. Great spice level for starters. Not too hot, by any stretch. Just a little heat in the background. Great Buffalo-inspired flavors. Not overly vinegar-y either.

I love buying regional wing sauces. Grocery stores, bars, restaurants. Doesn’t matter where they come from. I rarely have encountered one I didn’t love. Schnuck’s sauces are no exception. Grab yourself some. You’ll be happy you did!

Also heat-up and try some hot Schnucks Buffalo wing sauce wings!

Brownwood Farms Slatherin’ Wings

Oh, how I love Brownwood Farms Slatherin’ wing sauce. I’m not always a big mustard-sauce fan, some are a bit too mustardy for me. But not this sauce. This is spot-on great mustard flavor here. And all in a nice and creamy sauce with just a bit of spiciness. It’s a rich, deeply flavored sauce that makes for the perfect batch of wings.

Brownwood Farms Slatherin Wings

The Perfect Mustardy Balance

I can’t wait to make another batch of wings and toss them with Brownwood Farms Slatherin’ wing sauce. And, I also cannot wait to slather this sauce on grilled chicken breasts, or better, a whole grilled spatchcocked chicken. I can also see this sauce on a future grilled or smoked rack of ribs. Along with great flavor, this sauce has the perfect consistency so I don’t have to worry about it not sticking to my next grilled dish!

Remember that if you have to refrigerate your open bottle of wing sauce to let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.
