Kinder’s Black Cherry Chipotle Dry Wings

Wow. Just wow. I’ve had my share of different flavors of dry wings but these Kinder’s black cherry chipotle wings are different and then some. Tart and sweet, I could not stop eating them. No sauce required. No Ranch or blue cheese dressing required. Just good ole wings and seasoning. I used an air fryer but you can cook them any way you like. Just make sure to load them up on the seasoning because they are delicious.

Kinder's Black Cherry Chipotle Dry Wings

Head To The Spice Aisle

I found this seasoning near a bunch of other seasonings in the store. It wasn’t the ‘Wing Section’ of the store either. This is why it pays to look around and think to yourself ‘would that be good on wings?’. The answer is often yes. It was a definite ‘yes’ when it came to these Kinder’s black cherry chipotle dry wings.

Surprise!

If you’re looking to get some looks of happiness and surprise, serve these wings next time you’re watching the big game with friends. They’ll be more than pleasantly surprised at just how good and different they are.

Kinder’s also makes a black cherry BBQ sauce. It’s great on wings too.

Ranch Wings

I recently spent a few days in lovely Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania while attending a conference. I made sure I had my ‘to-eat’ list down before leaving, because one thing you can be sure of finding in Pittsburgh: good food. At the top of my list was dry Ranch chicken wings.

No, not dry like ‘ewww, this meat is dry’. Dry as in the wings aren’t tossed in sauce after being cooked. Instead they are dusted with seasoning. The end result is almost like roasted chicken, but with much more pronounced flavors. Now that we are back home, I had to make some of the favorites that I devoured in Pittsburgh, like these wings, which I first experienced in our hotel bar.

Ranch Wings

The Perfect Dry Wings

I went with Ranch dressing for the dipping sauce for these wings, but seriously, you can eat them dry, as-is, with no sauce. There’s no need to drown them in sauce, the flavor stands on its own.

Kinder’s Sticky Honey BBQ Sauce Wings

If you have some BBQ sauce and wings on hand, you’re good-to-go. Just cook up those wings, and toss them in the sauce. Wings don’t have to be all Buffalo-style every time. Change it up. One of my favorite ways to do things a little different is to grab whatever BBQ sauce I have sitting around. There’s usually a number of them, too. This time I made some Kinder’s Sticky Honey BBQ sauce wings. This is some good sauce, and it makes for some good wings!

Kinder's Sticky Honey BBQ Sauce Wings

Sweet And Tasty

You know there’s honey in it, so you these Kinder’s Sticky Honey BBQ sauce wings are gonna be on the sweet side. I like sweet wings. Now, if you’re thinking you want a bit of a kick to yours too, add a few drops of your favorite hot sauce to the BBQ sauce first, then sauce your wings. Or keep them sweet like I did.

You almost always get messy when you eat wings. That’s why I didn’t let the ‘sticky’ part worry. Heck it can be as sticky and as messy as it wants to be. In fact, the more of both the better.

Just Make Some Wings

I’m gonna say it doesn’t really matter how you cook your wings here. But it kinda does. Don’t season your wings with anything that ends up ‘fighting’ with this sauce. Sure, a little salt and pepper are ok. And even a bit of cayenne if you want some heat. But nothing so overwhelming that it changes the taste of the sauce or worse, completely overwhelms it. Enjoy the sauce. That’s why you bought it!

Backyard BBQ Wings

These Backyard BBQ wings bring back memories. Memories of years ago, as a kid, enjoying those classic neighborhood grill-outs. The dads gathered around charcoal grills, the moms chatting away in a circle of lawn chairs. Us kids playing, running all over the place and even getting yelled out when we came to close to the grill.

Backyard BBQ Wings

Every Bite A Memory

There’s nothing I would change about Backyard BBQ wings. They’re easy to make. They come out juicy, tender and delicious. And they remind me of that grilled barbecue chicken from long ago.

You’d find mostly grilled chicken and burgers at these cook-outs. The chicken would be heavily brushed in BBQ sauce. Like these wings. Same great flavors as back then, but on delicious wings instead.

I store my leftover homemade sauces in squeeze bottles. If refrigerated, I set them out an hour before using so they come to room temperature. You don’t want to put cold sauce on hot wings!

Pretty Thai Muay Thai Sauce Wings

These Pretty Thai Muay Thai sauce wings are exactly why it pays to wander around your grocery store with an eye out for anything that might make good on wings. I picked up some of the Pretty Thai sauces in the Asian section. Sure, I had stir-fry on the brain too, but first and foremost I thought of only one thing. Wings. So I made up a quick batch of easy wings, tossed them in some sauce and got to it!

Pretty Thai Muay Thai Wings

Get Funky With It

These Pretty Thai Muay Thai sauce wings have a nice lip-tingling citrus tang that you get pretty early on. And there’s a little of that great fish sauce ‘funkiness’. That umami flavor you don’t find much anywhere else. And oh yes, a bit of heat from Thai chili. It’s got a nice spice level to it, I really liked it.

This sauce may seem a little thin. It was meant for stir-fry and the like. But it works just fine on wings.

Plucker’s Spicy Mandarin Wing Sauce Wings

Now this is different. Take a bite of Plucker’s Spicy Mandarin wing sauce and you’ll instantly taste orange and soy sauce. Not overwhelming flavors, but you won’t go hunting for them, that’s for sure. This is a nice change from the sweet chili or teriyaki sauce Asian-inspired wing sauces you usually find. Not that there’s anything wrong with those.

Plucker's Spicy Mandarin Wings

Decidedly Different. And Delicious.

I picked up eighteen different bottles of wing sauce from Plucker’s. It’s a wing restaurant based out of Austin, Texas. Every single sauce, like Plucker’s spicy mandarin wing sauce, has been fantastic. So many different exciting flavors in bottle after bottle. And it’s all quality stuff, too! I’d better get to making more wings!

Remember that if you have to refrigerate your open bottle of wing sauce to let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.

Also try Plucker’s Teriykai wing sauce wings! They’re great too!

Plucker’s Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce Wings

It’s from Plucker’s, so I knew this sauce would be amazing. And the bottle does say ‘hot’ on it, so I knew this sauce would be spicy. The key to a great wing sauce is to balance the spicy with flavor, and this hot Buffalo wing sauce does that perfectly. Yeah, it brings some heat, but it tastes so good and that’s critical. No one wants a crazy hot sauce that doesn’t taste great. This one does.

Plucker's Hot Buffalo Wings

Spicy But Not Crazy Hot

Even if you’re not really into super spicy wing sauces, I think you’ll like Plucker’s hot Buffalo wing sauce. Sure, it has a kick. But if you go light on it, I think you’ll love your wings. Hey, do like I did and have some cool Ranch or blue cheese dressing on hand if necessary.

The Fresh Thyme Wild Buffalo wing sauce is no exception. This sauce is a nice, mellow Buffalo sauce. It’s a mix of great traditional Buffalo wing sauce flavor with a few twists.

Lillie’s Q BBQ Aioli Sauce Wings

Yee-yowsa! You’re talking about some great wings here. I devoured my plate of Lillie’s Q BBQ aioli sauce wings. Boy I really wish I’d made more. This BBQ and mustard sauce hit the spot for me. It’s a creamy sauce. Not one of them traditional vinegary ones. It’s a wonderful mayonnaise concoction. A combination of a lightly smoky BBQ sauce and mustard. But not too much of either. You know how mustard can get .. … too mustardy? Well not here. It’s perfect. I could just pour this sauce in a bowl and grab a spoon it’s just that good.

Lillie's Q BBQ Aioli Wings

Tender Sauce

I know the bottle says ‘tender sauce’. But when I hear chicken tenders, I think chicken wings instead. Good call on my part because tossing some hot wings in this sauce was brilliant. If you’re looking for something different, something creamy, make some Lillie’s Q BBQ aioli sauce wings. But make sure you make plenty of them, because they’ll disappear like that!

Legend Larry’s Teriyaki Wing Sauce Wings

Legend Larry’s makes some absolutely terrific wing sauces. I’ve enjoyed them all, again and again. Their Teriyaki wing sauce, though, is something above and beyond absolutely terrific. This is a big favorite in our house. We always look forward to a batch of wings covered in this sauce. It’s nice and thick, but not gloppy. It’s likely sweet, but not cloyingly so. It has that traditional teriyaki flavor, but it’s not so strong that it overpowers your senses. It’s the perfect balance of everything you want and need in a wing sauce.

Legend Larry's Teriyaki Wings

Asian-Inspired Wing Greatness

You could sure put this sauce on a stir fry, or use it as a dipping sauce for nuggets. Or on a grilled chicken sandwich. But for me, Legend Larry’s Teriyaki wing sauce is a hands-down true winner on wings. And it’s one of my wife’s favorites too. That says a lot. She’s picky about her wing sauces, and she’d pick Legend Larry’s any day of the week.

Kinder’s Thai BBQ Sauce Wings

Go to the grocery store. Buy a family pack of wings. Buy a bottle of Kinder’s Thai BBQ sauce. Prepare the wings. Cook the wings. Doesn’t really matter how you cook them. Sauce them. Get that sauce all over them. Devour. Lick your fingers. Lick the plate. Make moaning sounds. That’s what you do with Kinder’s Thai BBQ sauce wings. Because the sauce is incredible.

Asian-Inspired Wing Greatness

Every bite of Kinder’s Thai BBQ sauce wings is fantastic. The sauce is rich. It’s thick. Stick-to-your wings thick. There’s soy sauce. A bit of lemongrass. Hints of ginger. Chili sauce. It’s kinda sweet but it’s balanced perfectly. Got extra sauce? Put it on some grilled shrimp. Squirt it into a stir-fry. This is one great sauce that has a lot of uses. But for me, it’s flat out great on wings!
