Moore’s Buffalo Wings

I thought this would be ‘just’ another Buffalo wing sauce but it turned out to be one of the tastiest traditional wing sauces I’ve ever had. Seasoned perfectly, with just the slightest hint of heat, it’s just… wonderful! I couldn’t get enough of it. Moore’s Buffalo wing sauce is just what I was looking for when I wanted some delicious lunchtime wings. The bottle says ‘tangy Southern flavor’. And I agree. But I would’ve added ‘fantastic’ to the description.

Moore's Buffalo Wings

A Great Sauce For Wings And More!

Don’t be afraid to use Moore’s Buffalo wing sauce on more than wings. It’d be great as a chicken marinade for sure. Or in any recipe that calls for vinegar. Head over to Moore’s Marinades web site and check out their long list of fantastic recipes that use this sauce (and some of their other sauces too).

Remember that if you have to refrigerate your open bottle of wing sauce to let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.

Market District Creamy Garlic Parmesan and Chili Wing Sauce Wings

“Decidedly different”. I don’t even usually use words like that. I don’t know where they even came from, but they were the first words out of my mouth when I tried some Market District Creamy Garlic Parmesan and Chili wings.

Definitely different

Admittedly, I was expecting the usual garlicky Parmesan wing sauce that borders on being a salad dressing. That’s not what I got. I got a whole heck of a lot more. This is easily one of my favorite non-Buffalo wing sauces of all time. The garlic and Parmesan are tame, not overwhelming. The sauce has just the right consistency. Not too thick. Not too thin. And a little fantastic pepper flavor. Thank you Market District!

Market District Creamy Garlic Parmesan and Chili Wings

This is not an Alabama BBQ sauce

I’d eat these Market District creamy garlic Parmesan and chili wing sauce wings all day long. I really love the addition of a red pepper to this sauce. It so makes it different than the usual creamy white wing sauces. This sauce stands above the crowd. Way above it.

This is not an Alabama white sauce, despite appearances to the contrary!

Air Fryer Holy Voodoo Dry Wings

Grillers and BBQ smokers all over tout how great Meat Church’s seasonings are. Me, I always make wings first with any new seasoning I pick up. I don’t sauce them. I don’t bury them in other flavors. My favorite is making dry wings. And I found these air fryer Holy Voodoo dry wings to be absolutely delicious! The seasoning is slight sweet with both white and brown sugar. It’s a bit salty, but I do tend to like salty seasonings. And it’s just a tad spicy.

Air Fryer Holy Voodoo Wings

Double-Seasoned

I season my air fryer Holy Voodoo dry wings a bit before putting them into the air fryer. Now, because of the sugars in the seasoning I don’t go nuts with it. But I want that flavor before to be added before and after cooking the wings. You can actually skip this step but.. why?

Try all of the seasonings from Meat Church on wings. Or whatever you’re cooking.

There’s nothing fancy about the air fryer that I use. But it works great on wings. I use it a lot. And I do mean a lot. Mostly for wings. I know. Shocking. Cleanup is fairly easy. It easily holds enough wings for two people. Or one me when I’m really wing-hungry.

I love using my air fryer for wings. Checkout some of my favorite wing recipes, all made using an air fryer.

Instructions

  • Season the wings with the Meat Church Holy Voodoo seasoning. Don't go crazy with it as the high heat from the air fryer can burn the sugars. You want enough to taste the great flavors, but don't drown the wings in it.
  • Place wings in fridge for 30 minutes.
  • Lightly spray the basket of your air fryer with non-stick spray. Preheat per manufacturer's recommendation to 350 F.
  • Add the wings to the basket (be careful it's hot!).
  • Cook wings for 12 minutes.
  • Flip the wings and cook another 12 minutes.
  • Increase the air fryer temperature to 400 F and cook another 6 minutes.
  • Remove wings from fryer and place in a bowl. Toss with more seasoning, to taste. Now's a good time to not be shy with the seasoning.
  • Let cool slightly (the wings will crisp as they cool) then serve.

Notes

Note: The full 30 minute cook time is for large, meaty wings. If your wings are a bit thinner (er… scrawny) back the times down to 10/10/4 minutes instead of 12/12/6 minutes.

Fire and Smoke Society Honey Garlic Dry Wings

I’m not a complicated guy. I don’t need some big ole 40-ingredient wing sauce to make me happy. Nope, I’m perfectly fine with a perfectly cooked wing tossed in a perfectly good seasoning. Like these Fire and Smoke Society Honey Garlic dry wings. It doesn’t really matter how the wings are actually cooked. For me, for lunch, it means an air fryer for 20-30 minutes. Then I season them. Big time. And then I get crunchy wings with a wonderful garlicky flavor that is lightly sweet. Oh and there’s some herbs in there too for a great balance! A little paprika, pepper and thyme. The perfect combination for wings!

Don’t Be Shy!

There’s one thing to always remember when it comes to making dry wings. Go big on the seasoning. Even when you think you’ve added enough, add more. And do it right as the wings come off whatever you cooked them in. Get ’em while they are hot!

Honey Garlic Dry Wings

Check Your Pantry

These Fire and Smoke Society Honey Garlic dry wings are proof that a bottle of seasoning doesn’t have to say ‘for wings’ on it for it to be great on wings! I bought this seasoning originally for seasoning full-sized chickens before they’d end up on a rotisserie or in my oil-less fryer. I knew instantly that it’d be great on wings, too. And I was more than right! These are what dry wings are about!

So go to your pantry and see what you might have on hand that’d be great on wings. Chances are, no matter what you bought it for originally, that bottled seasoning is great on wings too!

Hoosier Daddy Ghost Roast BBQ Sauce Wings

Nothing makes me happier than to find a product from Indiana that just knocks my socks off. That makes my taste buds happy. Hoosier Daddy BBQ does both. Started by William Marshall and now continued by his daughter, this small company produces quality all-natural BBQ sauces. And they’re just not for BBQ either. I love making Hoosier Daddy Ghost Roast BBQ sauce wings. Oh, yes they have other sauces. But if I’m jonesin’ for a good bit of heat in a nice, slightly sweet sauce, this is it.

Hoosier Daddy Ghost Roast BBQ Wings

Fiery Sweetness

Hoosier Daddy Ghost Roast BBQ sauce wings are spicy. I ain’t gonna lie. The name kinda gives it away. But fear not. That heat level is joined by a little sweetness in a thick, mustard and tomato-based sauce. It goes on wings perfectly. And it stays there. If you’re worried about the kick, just go light on the sauce. You’ll still get some of the best sauced wings you’ve ever had.

In Stores And Online

I’m lucky enough to be able to get all of the Hoosier Daddy BBQ sauces at our local grocery store. Tremendous on anything grilled or smoked, the sauces take wings to an all-new place too. Whether they are deep-fried, baked, grilled or roasted, you’re in for a treat. You can always order their sauces online too.

Tyson Garlic Parmesan Crispy Wings

I do eat my share of wings. I admit it. Usually, that means picking up a family pack of 3-4 pounds of fresh wings at the grocery store and cooking them up in whatever way I want. I also always keep some pre-made wings on hand in the freezer. Why? Because, well, I like them. I picked up a bag of these Tyson Garlic Parmesan crispy wings and made them the other day in my air fryer. Boy, did they ever make the house smell good. My mouth was watering… Then I got to eating…

Tyson Garlic Parmesan Crispy Wings

Crunchy Battered Yumminess

Tyson Garlic Parmesan crispy wings are a variety of wing pieces that are seasoned and battered. Some pieces are bigger than others. All you have to do is toss them into the air fryer or oven for a little bit. They come out hot and crispy. They have a great blend of spices and Parmesan cheese flavors. I’d call it a nice middle-of-the-road flavor. Not too overwhelming. You could easily serve these wings to a crowd for the big game, though you’d probably want to make them in the oven since you can only do a small amount at a time in the air fryer.

A Little Extra Cook Time

I like to cook these wings a few more minutes longer than the bag states for the normal cooking time. It could just be my air fryer or oven. I do like crunchier wings. That extra time gets me to crunchy wing happiness.

Not Just For Football Games

You can easily cook up a batch of these wings and serve them with your favorite sides for a meal. Don’t just think of them as handheld goodies for the big game. They’re great any time! So make some rice or mac and cheese and maybe some green beans and enjoy!

Wing Commander Fierce Dry Wings

I only needed to glance at the contents of the bottle of seasoning to know I would soon be making a batch of Wing Commander Fierce dry wings using a seasoning from the Fire & Smoke Society. The mix contains roasted garlic (a big favorite of mine) and tons of fantastic black pepper. And just a bit of cayenne for heat and a touch of brown sugar for sweetness.

Wing Commander Fierce Dry Wings

A Great Seasoning That Checks All The Boxes

The heat from these Wing Commander Fierce dry wings hits you later but it’s not super-spicy by any stretch. It has a slight southwestern feel to it. It’s amazing on just-cooked wings. You can also use it to season your wings before cooking. When deep-frying you add it to your coating. Grilling? Let the wings dry marinade in it for an hour first.

I’m a huge fan of the combination of black pepper and roasted garlic, so this seasoning checked all of the boxes for me. This seasoning is also fantastic on grilled burgers and steaks.

Terrapin Ridge Farms Hot Pepper Bacon Wing Sauce Wings

This is one decidedly different wing sauce. When I made a batch of Terrapin Ridge Farms hot pepper bacon wing sauce wings I knew I was in for a total detour from the usual bottled wing sauce. For starters, this sauce looks different. You can see the real, fresh ingredients inside. You can see peppers. And you can see tomato sauce. It almost looks like a salsa or even a jam, but not as thick. That first bite proved this isn’t the usual sauce. Smoky bacon, plenty of roasted red peppers, a very slight bit of jalapeno spiciness and tomato goodness are the stars of the show here.

Terrapin Ridge Farms Hot Pepper Bacon Wings

I Got It At Buc-ee’s

I picked up a bottle of this sauce at a Buc-ee’s in Sevierville, TN. I’m always on the lookout for a wing sauce I haven’t tried, and these Terrapin Ridge Farms Hot Pepper Bacon wing sauce wings are a good reason why. There’s no point in getting bored with the sauces you keep using over and over. Branch out. There are a ton of great sauces out there, like this one!

Also good on…

This sauce would be crazy good on grilled or smoke ribs.

Quaker Steak and Lube Arizona Ranch Wing Sauce Wings

I’ve had a big hankerin’ for some chicken wings ever since we drove over to Cincinnati and went shopping at Jungle Jim’s. I picked up a few bottles of Quaker Steak and Lube wing sauces, including this Arizona Ranch wing sauce. We’ve actually eaten at a Quaker Steak & Lube near Cincinnati, and really enjoyed it. We can’t wait for them to open one here in Indianapolis!

Quaker Steak and Lube Arizona Ranch Wings

Don’t Worry About The Heat Too Much

I really like the Quaker Steak and Lube Arizona Ranch sauce. It is like ranch dressing, for grownups. It has some kick, but not enough to scare grandma off. Personally, I’d for more kick, but I wasn’t the only one eating wings! You can see how the Arizona Ranch wing sauce stacks up heat-wise to the other yummy Quaker Steak & Lube sauces here.

A Great Sauce At A Great Price

I was worried that for $5-$6, the sauce was over-priced, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that that isn’t the case. For the number of wings I made I used only a little sauce, without sacrificing flavor. And the sauce sticks to the wings. Not gloppy, molasses sticky, but just sticky enough to not run off and form a puddle. I liked that. A lot.

Crispy Woodfired Garlic Dry Wings

I made some delicious dry wings the other day using Kinder’s woodfired garlic rub. Man, were they ever insanely good. I fell in love with the roasted garlic flavor. Mixed with other spices, it’s a rich seasoning that is great on any meat. I was craving some deep-fried wings next, so I decided to add some of the seasoning and make my crispy woodfired garlic dry wings. And boy, did they ever deliver on flavor!

Crispy Woodfired Garlic Wings

Easy. Crunchy. And Tasty.

These crispy woodfired garlic dry wings took no time to prepare and cook. And eat for that matter. Kinder’s seasonings and sauces never disappoint. They don’t cut corners when it comes to quality and flavor. All I had to do was mix a little of this packed-with-roasted garlic seasoning with some flour and coat some wings. I let them ‘get happy’ in the fridge for 30 minutes. Then I fried them. That’s it. That’s all it takes to make perfect wings.
