Fresh Thyme Zesty Buffalo Wing Sauce Wings

I made a quick stop at our local Fresh Thyme to pick up some of their fresh-made bratwurst (fantastic!) and some bacon (which is also fantastic). Any time I’m in a grocery store I make a pass through the wing sauces. I noticed Fresh Thyme’s Zesty Buffalo wing sauce on the shelf and grabbed a bottle (along with their other flavors of wing sauces). The sauce looked great. It had yummy-looking things floating in it. My mouth began to water at the thought of what was in store for me. And for good reason! This is a fantastic, lightly spicy, good sauce. It’s just delicious. Finger-licking delicious. This is a real winner with just the right consistency and the price was great too!

Fresh Thyme Zesty Buffalo Wings

Classic Flavors with a Wonderful Twist

The spices used in the Fresh Thyme Zesty Buffalo wing sauce make for a great taste. It’s based on a fairly traditional wing sauce, but the flavor and spiciness is unique. I couldn’t have been happier with it. And even though it has just a little kick to it, it doesn’t hit hard. I think even my “I can’t stand spiciness” friends would love this sauce too!

Spicy Herb and Garlic Wings

I’m not sure what happened. Something came over me when I was making the sauce for these spicy herb and garlic wings. The aroma was crazy good. My mouth was watering. I was so anxious to try it on wings. Though I admit to having quite a few ‘samples’ of the sauce as the wings cooked…. This stuff is great. Savory, herby, garlicky with just the perfect amount of heat. All thanks to a package of soup mix from Lipton. Who would’ve thought?

Spicy Herb and Garlic Wings

My Goodness Are These Wings Ever Addicting

There’s absolutely nothing I’d change about these spicy herb and garlic wings. I really liked them. If you aren’t a fan of heat, you can definitely leave out the cayenne. But I liked it. It’s not overpowering by any stretch. And of course you can add more, or use less.

You’ll enjoy these wings as much as I did.

Baked Salsa Verde Wings

Oh, yum! Juicy, flavorful wings! I had no idea how great of a marinade salsa verde could be. It really added a fantastic flavor to these baked salsa verde wings. They were so tender, yet still had a nicely crunchy skin. Served with citrus salsa verde cream sauce for dipping, I really enjoyed these wings! They are a total change from my usual way of making chicken wings, which is either in an air fryer or on a super-hot grill. And occasionally, in a deep-fryer.

I’m A Baked Wing Believer Now

If you have any juices on the baking dish as the wings cook, brush it back onto the wings for extra flavor. I found it important to turn the wings often to get a nice even cook and also crunchy skin. Plus, I did not have to put the wings under the broiler to crunch them up, these baked salsa verde wings didn’t need it!

I found the inspiration for this recipe on Campbell’s website.

Buffalo Wild Wings Desert Heat Dry Wings

Buffalo Wild Wings Desert Heat wing seasoning makes for some of the best dry wings you’ve ever had. Sure, you can use it as a seasoning on wet wings too. I’m such a fan of dry wings that that’s how I prefer it. Time and time again. A little (ok, a good bit of) spiciness combines with a wonderful smokiness that makes these wings fantastic.

Buffalo Wild Wings Desert Heat Dry Wings

More is Better

I season my Buffalo Wild Wings Desert Heat Dry Wings before I cook them and after they’re done. If I’m deep frying the wings I’ll mix the seasoning in with the flour (or whatever coating I’m using) mixture first. I am pretty heavy-handed with the seasoning before and after the wings are cooked. I really like this stuff.

Make sure you seal your wing seasonings well after using. You don’t want any moisture sneaking in. This dust comes in shaker bottles that seal perfectly!

Also try Buffalo Wild Wings Buffalo dry wings. Great Buffalo flavor in a dry wing!

Beef O Brady’s Spicy Garlic Wing Sauce Wings

Spicy? Yeah, it’s got a nice kick to it but it’s not crazy hot. Garlic? Yep, it’s got that too. And then some. No mistaking it, Beef O Brady’s Spicy Garlic wing sauce brings great flavor and heat. It’s delicious on wings. Crazy good delicious! This sauce also has just the right consistency. Too thin and your sauce rolls right off of your wings and onto your plate. Or worse, your clothes. Too thick and it goes on too thick. Heck, you want to taste the wings too. If you wanted to just taste the wing sauce you could just pour yourself a glass!

Beef O Brady's Spicy Garlic Wings

Garlic. And More Garlic.

I’m not lying when I say Beef O Brady’s Spicy Garlic wing sauce has a lot of garlic flavor. That’s good, because I’m a garlic fanatic. The more garlic, the better in my book. You’ll not be sitting there wishing for more garlic. Your garlic cravings will definitely be satisfied. So grab a bottle, make some wings, and sit back and enjoy the garlicky kick!

Fresh Thyme Wild Buffalo Wing Sauce Wings

I’m a big fan of the wing sauces I’ve picked up at our local Fresh Thyme Market. They’ve all been super tasty and at the right price (that’s a win-win!). The Fresh Thyme Wild Buffalo wing sauce is no exception. This sauce is a nice, mellow Buffalo sauce. It’s a mix of great traditional Buffalo wing sauce flavor with a few twists. Worcestershire sauce and molasses make you realize that it’s not just another cayenne pepper sauce.

The Right Amount of Heat

Plucker’s Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce Wings

It’s from Plucker’s, so I knew this sauce would be amazing. And the bottle does say ‘hot’ on it, so I knew this sauce would be spicy. The key to a great wing sauce is to balance the spicy with flavor, and this hot Buffalo wing sauce does that perfectly. Yeah, it brings some heat, but it tastes so good and that’s critical. No one wants a crazy hot sauce that doesn’t taste great. This one does.

Plucker's Hot Buffalo Wings

Spicy But Not Crazy Hot

Even if you’re not really into super spicy wing sauces, I think you’ll like Plucker’s hot Buffalo wing sauce. Sure, it has a kick. But if you go light on it, I think you’ll love your wings. Hey, do like I did and have some cool Ranch or blue cheese dressing on hand if necessary.

The Fresh Thyme Wild Buffalo wing sauce is no exception. This sauce is a nice, mellow Buffalo sauce. It’s a mix of great traditional Buffalo wing sauce flavor with a few twists.

Wicked Sticky Wings

Warning: The term ‘sticky’ is a tremendous understatement when it comes to describing these Wicked Sticky wings. Think sticky molasses, and then think stickier. Don’t spill the sauce (like someone I know might have done) or you will be cleaning counter tops and sinks and what-not for days. Trust me. Now, on to the wings…

These wings are crazy good. Wicked heat. Sticky sweet. I made them crispy style on my Char-Broil Big Easy, but you can make them anyway you like, from smoking them to deep frying them. It’s the sauce that shines here, and boy is it messy great. Wicked sticky wings are called that for a reason.

Wicked Sticky Wings

Sticky Really Doesn’t Describe It

I went simple with the dipping sauce for these wicked sticky wings. Just straight-out-of-the-bottle chilled Ranch dressing. Nothing fancy, just something to offset the kick of the sauce just a bit.

Raspberry Chipotle Wings

Oh, goodness me! Raspberry chipotle wings are my newest food addiction. The sauce is just crazy good. Great berry flavor and a nice helping of heat. And a little bit of sweet to temper that kick just a bit. I used great fresh local raspberries, but frozen would work just fine too.

Raspberry Chipotle Wings

One Great Sauce

The raspberry chipotle sauce would also be great on a grilled pork tenderloin, or just grilled chicken. I wouldn’t be afraid to add a bit more of the chipotle if you’re into heat like I am. Just make sure that when you strain the sauce you don’t let any seeds through. It takes a little work but those seeds aren’t something you want in the sauce.

I store my leftover homemade sauces in squeeze bottles. If refrigerated, I set them out an hour before using so they come to room temperature. You don’t want to put cold sauce on hot wings!

Anchor Bar Barbecue Wing Sauce Wings

Of course, the Anchor Bar is famous as being the creator of what we now call traditional Buffalo wings. But, not all of their wing sauce flavors are based in vinegar or butter or hot sauce. Anchor Bar Barbecue wings are just as fantastic as the classic. Tomato based, this sauce is lightly smoky, lightly sweet, and has just a slight bit of a spicy kick to it. It’s perfect on wings.

Anchor Bar Barbecue Wings

It’s Not Just Great on Wings!

Anchor Bar Barbecue wing sauce is equally as great on a smoked rack of ribs or a grilled chicken breast as it is on deep-fried chicken wings. It has the right consistency, the right flavors to make it a great straight-up BBQ sauce.

Remember that if you have to refrigerate your open bottle of wing sauce to let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.
