Plucker’s Sesame Wing Sauce Wings

The fine folks at Plucker’s have done it to me again. They went and made yet another dream-worthy wing sauce that I just cannot get enough of: Plucker’s Sesame wing sauce. This time it’s an Asian-inspired sauce with a hint of teriyaki and sesame oil. Neither flavor is overwhelming, but balanced perfectly. Sesame oil can definitely be too strong for me, but this sauce nailed it perfectly. This is one of the best wing sauces I’ve had. There’s no way I can tell you how good this sauce is without crying tears of happiness. Just the memory of these wings makes my day.

Plucker's Sesame Wings

Asian-Inspired Deliciousness

Plucker’s Sesame wing sauce is just the right thickness, too. No pools of sauce at the bottom of the plate here. Come to think of it, no sauce on my fingers either. Ok, that’s because I licked them.

This would also make for a fantastic dipping sauce for nuggets. Or slather it on a grilled or smoked rack of ribs for a fantastic Asian-inspired dinner.

Moore’s Buffalo Wings

I thought this would be ‘just’ another Buffalo wing sauce but it turned out to be one of the tastiest traditional wing sauces I’ve ever had. Seasoned perfectly, with just the slightest hint of heat, it’s just… wonderful! I couldn’t get enough of it. Moore’s Buffalo wing sauce is just what I was looking for when I wanted some delicious lunchtime wings. The bottle says ‘tangy Southern flavor’. And I agree. But I would’ve added ‘fantastic’ to the description.

Moore's Buffalo Wings

A Great Sauce For Wings And More!

Don’t be afraid to use Moore’s Buffalo wing sauce on more than wings. It’d be great as a chicken marinade for sure. Or in any recipe that calls for vinegar. Head over to Moore’s Marinades web site and check out their long list of fantastic recipes that use this sauce (and some of their other sauces too).

Remember that if you have to refrigerate your open bottle of wing sauce to let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.

McCormick Air Fryer Buffalo Dry Wings

Wow. Just wow. I was wandering around the grocery store when I hit the spice and seasonings aisle. There in a lil red box was some McCormick Air Fryer Buffalo wing seasoning mix. I thought, well, heck. That sounds good. Why not give it a shot? Well, by golly, I was super duper happy with these wings. Un-sauced, they are packed with garlic and traditional Buffalo flavors, with just a slight bit of a kick. And they’re perfectly crunchy! This is why I love air fryer wings. My air fryer never fails me!

McCormick Air Fryer Buffalo Wings

They Smell As Great As They Taste

I couldn’t get over just how great these wings smelled as they cooked in my air fryer. The McCormick Buffalo Air Fryer Buffalo seasoning not only tastes great, it makes your mouth water in anticipation while the wings are getting done. But, don’t over-cook the wings. The seasoning will get a bit dark if you let the wings go too long.

  • Preheat air fryer to 380 F.
  • Place wings in a bowl. Sprinkle with the seasoning and toss to coat.
  • Transfer wings to the air fryer basket. Do not overlap (cook in batches if necessary).
  • Cook for 20 minutes, turning once, or until wings are done and skin is crispy.

Notes

I prefer to season my wings immediately after cooking them. The seasoning will stick to the surface of the hot wings better than if you wait until they cool off.

Spicy Japanese Barbecue Sauce Wings

This post is for the spicy version of Bachan’s Japanese barbecue sauce. Also check out my post on their non-spicy Japanese barbecue sauce!

It’s happened again. These Bachan’s Spicy Japanese Barbecue sauce wings have gone and made me sad, just like when I first tried their regular barbecue sauce. Sad that I went so long before buying a bottle and squeezing it onto some wings, that is! My goodness me is this ever good stuff! I mean crazy good. Lightly sweet and lightly salty with just a little kick (nothing to be afraid of!), it’s what teriyaki sauce wishes it could be. I cannot stop eating wings covered in this sauce (or the non-spicy version too!).

Spicy Japanese Barbecue Sauce Wings

Sauce ‘Em And Devour ‘Em

The sauce is a little on the thin side, just like its no-heat version. Normally that would be a minus on wings. You won’t want your sauce to end up at the bottom of your plate, you need it to stick to your wings. Well, this sauce has so much fantastic flavor that you don’t need it to be super thick. Not at all. If you want, do like I do and put a small bowl of extra sauce on the side for dipping your spicy Japanese barbecue sauce wings. You won’t regret it.

Remember that if you have to refrigerate your open bottle of wing sauce to let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.

Also try the non-spicy version of these wings.

Plucker’s Spicy Mandarin Wing Sauce Wings

Now this is different. Take a bite of Plucker’s Spicy Mandarin wing sauce and you’ll instantly taste orange and soy sauce. Not overwhelming flavors, but you won’t go hunting for them, that’s for sure. This is a nice change from the sweet chili or teriyaki sauce Asian-inspired wing sauces you usually find. Not that there’s anything wrong with those.

Plucker's Spicy Mandarin Wings

Decidedly Different. And Delicious.

I picked up eighteen different bottles of wing sauce from Plucker’s. It’s a wing restaurant based out of Austin, Texas. Every single sauce, like Plucker’s spicy mandarin wing sauce, has been fantastic. So many different exciting flavors in bottle after bottle. And it’s all quality stuff, too! I’d better get to making more wings!

Remember that if you have to refrigerate your open bottle of wing sauce to let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.

Plucker’s Jamango Jerk Wing Sauce Wings

What an enjoyable experience it is, sitting down to a big ole batch of wings covered in Plucker’s Jamango Jerk wing sauce. Kind of like a Caribbean BBQ sauce. You get mild mango flavor, a little heat, and just the right amount of jerk seasoning flavor. That’s important for me because jerk seasoning, when applied heavily, can be a bit much because of the allspice. This sauce has just the perfect amount.

Plucker's Jamango Jerk Wings

A Great Balance Of Island Flavors

Plucker’s Jamango Jerk wing sauce is another one of my top favorite sauces. But it’s not just for wings, that’s for sure. It’s fantastic slathered on grilled chicken. And absolutely great on smoked ribs. Anywhere you normally might use a store-bought BBQ sauce, use this wing sauce instead.

Remember that if you refrigerate your open bottle of wing sauce to let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.

Plucker’s Gold Rush Wing Sauce Wings

I didn’t think I’d be as much a fan of a creamy, mustardy wing sauce as I ended up being when I tasted Plucker’s Gold Rush wing sauce on a batch of wings hot out of my air fryer. There are three kinds of mustard wing sauce: those with too little mustard, those with too much mustard, and those (the few) that are just perfect. This one is just perfect. Finger-lickingly good perfect.

Plucker's Gold Rush Wings

Another Tasty Sauce From Plucker’s

Plucker’s Gold Rush wing sauce is great on hot dogs, grilled or smoked ribs. And chicken (well, like other than wings of course!) too! And it makes for a great dipping sauce for chicken nuggets. It’s another great example of the quality, tasty wing sauces you can find at Plucker’s.

Remember that if you have to refrigerate your open bottle of wing sauce to let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.

Smoky Chipotle Wings

I’ve been seriously addicted to making dry wings, like these smoky chipotle wings. My wife and I recently spent a few days in lovely Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania while attending a conference. I made sure I had my ‘to-eat’ list down before leaving, because one thing you can be sure of finding in Pittsburgh: good food. At the top of my list was dry chicken wings. No, not dry like ‘ewww, this meat is dry’. Dry as in the wings aren’t tossed in sauce after being cooked. Instead they are dusted with seasoning. The end result is almost like roasted chicken, but with much more pronounced flavors.

Smoky Chipotle Wings

A Little Smoke. A Little Heat.

When you first taste the rub for these smoky chipotle wings you might think they’ll come out super spicy. Maybe too spicy for grandma. Well, no, actually. The heat mellows a bit while the wings cook. You’re left with a slightly smoky, slightly sweet, and a bit of heat flavor that is absolutely crazy good. Good enough for grandma, though you might want to run the idea by her first.

Smoky chipotle wings would be absolutely perfect served any time, but they’d really make a great appetizer for the big game. They’re easy to make and packed with flavor.

I like to make my spice, rub and seasoning mixes in big batches and keep them in large bottles with easy-to-pour shaker lids.

G Hughes Sugar Free Mango Habanero Wing Sauce Wings

This is my second bottle of sugar free wing sauce from G Hughes. The first, Thai chili, was absolutely amazing. Was it a fluke that such a great sauce was also sugar free? Nope. Definitely not. Because G Hughes Sugar Free Mango Habanero wing sauce is just as amazing! Lightly fruity with a decent amount of heat, I really love this sauce. It’s finger-licking good. Delicious.

G Hughes Sugar Free Mango Habanero Wings

Sweet, but not too Sweet

I wouldn’t call G Hughes Sugar Free Mango Habanero wing sauce overly sweet, but it’s sweet (despite no sugar!). And I wouldn’t call it overly spicy, but it’s spicy. It strikes a nice balance between the heat and the sweet. I could definitely see myself using this as a dipping sauce for chicken nuggets or as a sauce on grilled chicken or ribs.

Plucker’s Honey BBQ Wing Sauce Wings

I bit my finger when I ate my lunchtime wings tossed with Plucker’s honey BBQ wing sauce. Yes, I was eating the wings so fast that my finger got in the way. I was blinded by wing love and must have thought, hey, that looks a bit like a drummette, let’s try that! And it was good! Ok, I’m sort of kidding, but man what a great sauce this is! It’s on the sweet side (the honey in the name gives it away). Not really any heat to speak of. But oh, oh, it’s soooo good!

Delicious Sweetness In Every Bite
