Croix Valley Tequila Lime Wing Sauce Wings

Croix Valley Tequila Lime wing sauce is different. It’s rather unlike most wings sauces. In a way it kind of reminded me of a few Thai chili wing sauces I’ve tried, but only in a way. It’s a little on the sweet side (I mean that in a good way). There are hints of tequila and lime that add a bit of a tang. It has a little bit of jalapeno but it’s not spicy. The flavor, though, oh! This is crazy delicious sauce. I could not stop licking my fingers. I wanted more sauce. More!

Croix Valley Tequila Lime Wings

A Totally Different, Totally Delicious Sauce

Croix Valley Tequila Lime wing sauce wings are just flat-out enjoyable. Like their other sauces, this is a quality sauce. Good stuff is in the bottle. Yes, bottle. Glass. No plastic here. This is what makes a good sauce better. I’d buy and use this sauce again and again without hesitation.

Remember that if you have to refrigerate your open bottle of wing sauce to let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.

Lillie’s Q Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce Wings

There are a number of guarantees in life. You know, like taxes. And that any seasoning or sauce from Lillie’s Q is going to be amazing. Amazing in flavor, amazing in quality, amazing in every way that is important. Lillie’s Q Hot Buffalo wing sauce is a guaranteed winner. You know what you’re in for. A hot Buffalo wing sauce. I mean, that’s kind of obvious! But you know that Lillie’s is going to deliver those classic flavors in a sauce that is perfectly balanced, wonderfully spicy, and just the right consistency to stick to your wings.

Lillies Q Hot Buffalo Wings

Oh So Good Buffalo-Inspired Flavors

Many wing sauces come in plastic bottles. I get that. It’s a cost thing. A freight thing. Not Lillie’s Q Hot Buffalo wing sauce. Nothing but thick, glass bottles here. For the same reason beer tastes better out of a glass bottle, wing sauce tastes better out of glass. It’s another reason why you know going in that you’re in for a great sauce.

PS: Don’t say I didn’t warn you. The bottle does say ‘hot’ right there on the front of the label. It’s not a misprint.

Mambo Wings

It’s amazing how many great chicken wing recipes there are. Everything from the mild to the sweet to the volcanic hot. That’s why I love them, I can have a different flavor every day. Well, almost every day. I don’t actually eat wings every day, although I’m sure I could and never ever get bored with them.

I recently stumbled upon Mambo sauce (among many other great recipes) on a blog by Levy Restaurants, a family of different restaurants around the US. So, I thought “Now, here’s something different. A tomato-based wing sauce with Asian flavors. I gotta try it!” So I did, and boy, was I happy that I did.

Mambo Wings

Sweet Heat Perfection

Mambo sauce, like many great wing sauces, is a combination of sweet (a little pineapple and sugar) and acid (white vinegar and hot sauce), and the best part, a bit of heat (thank you Frank’s RedHot!). You’ll start out thinking you’re having a teriyaki-inspired wing, and finish up thinking you had a Buffalo wing. It’s great, like a journey of flavors.

According to the Levy Restaurant’s blog, Mambo sauce is also great on fries. I can definitely see that. And I will also try it as a steak marinade.

I store my leftover homemade sauces in squeeze bottles. If refrigerated, I set them out an hour before using so they come to room temperature. You don’t want to put cold sauce on hot wings!

You’ll want to make some mango barbecue wings too!

June Moon Honey Mustard Wing Sauce Wings

I thought that these June Moon honey mustard wing sauce wings were absolutely outstanding. I like mustard, but I don’t like it overly… mustardy. This sauce isn’t overbearingly mustardy. Not this sauce, no. It’s spot-on with the right balance of mustard and the sweetness of honey but it’s not crazy sweet either. This is one great experience on a chicken wing, right here. Get some and you’ll be happy too!

June Moon Honey Mustard Wings

Mustardy Goodness without being too Mustardy

June Moon honey mustard wing sauce wings are a great alternative to your standard, Buffalo-style wings. Mix it up. Do a little of both. This sauce is just the right creamy thickness, with just the right flavor to satisfy anyone. Like their other sauces, June Moon hit this one out of the park!

If I am serving my wings with Ranch or blue cheese or some other sauce, I use these little sauce dipping cups. They’re the perfect size for dipping wings, nuggets, tenders and even vegetables. And they’re easy to clean, too!

G Hughes Sugar Free Caribbean Jerk Wing Sauce Wings

Sometimes I get a little worried when I’m about to try a new (to me) jerk sauce. I’ve run into a few that had just too much cinnamon or nutmeg for me. Well, G Hughes Sugar Free Caribbean Jerk wing sauce nailed the flavor perfectly. No worries here, this is one really tasty jerk sauce. The flavors aren’t too forward, no single one overpowers the rest. The sauce is thinner than many, but it is sugar free so you can’t really expect something like a thick sugary sauce!

G Hughes Sugar Free Caribbean Jerk Wings

Low in Heat, High in Flavor

G Hughes Sugar Free Caribbean Jerk wing sauce is not spicy, so don’t get all worried that you’re going to be wallowing in scotch bonnet pain. A more traditional sauce could be spicier, but the flavors more than made up for the low heat level at least for me.

This sauce would also make a tremendous chicken marinade. It’s full of flavor!

Cajun Buffalo Wings

I admit, not everything in this sauce screams Cajun, but these Cajun Buffalo wings are so darned tasty I didn’t care. Everything I love is in this sauce which explains my addiction to it. I cannot stop eating wings tossed in it. A little heat, lots of (yummy) garlic, and just the right amount of traditional Buffalo flavor, this sauce is a real winner.

Cajun Buffalo Wings

Amazing Flavor in Every Bite

If you want your Cajun Buffalo wings to be even more on the spicy side, use Frank’s RedHot Hot Buffalo Wings sauce. Or go with mild for less heat. I opted for less heat this time and really enjoyed it. Not every wing sauce has to sear the roof of your mouth.

You’ll love the flavors of these wings as much as I did. It’s great stuff! For a nice twist also try my Cajun Bay wings.

Croix Valley Parmesan Garlic Dry Wings

Oh, wings, glorious wings! I am a big fan of dry (un-sauced) wings. Croix Valley Parmesan Garlic wing seasoning takes dry wings to a whole new place. The spices aren’t overwhelming. You get the garlic. You get the Parmesan. And you get wings. The flavors don’t hide the fact that you’re still eating wings. Heck, if you can’t taste the wings what’s the point? This stuff is fantastic. They made my nice-and-crispy air fryer wings something special.

Croix Valley Parmesan Garlic Dry Wings

Great Flavor In Every Bite

I cannot say enough how much I loved Croix Valley Parmesan Garlic dry wings seasoning. I cannot wait to use it on things, too. A whole roasted chicken would be fantastic sprinkled with this dust. Oh, and someone suggested that I try shrimp the same way! The combination of garlic and Parmesan would be fantastic on shrimp or popcorn! What great ideas!

If I am serving my wings with Ranch or blue cheese or some other sauce, I use these little dipping cups. They’re the perfect size for dipping wings, nuggets, tenders and even vegetables. And they’re easy to clean, too!

Pepper Palace Sweet But Sassy Sauce Wings

I could spend hours at Pepper Palace store. In fact, I’ve spent many an hour at Pepper Palace and in several different cities to boot. Of course, the first section I run to is where the wing sauces are. Then I head to the other sauces. BBBQ, dipping… whatever sauces. That’s because just about any sauce can be put on wings. Pepper Palace Sweet But Sassy sauce wings are proof that this sauce is perfect on wings. Lightly sweet and just spicy enough, this chili-sauce-like sauce is a welcome break from traditional wing sauces.

Pepper Palace Sweet But Sassy Wings

It Is Sweet. And Sassy. They Aren’t Lying.

Pepper Palace Sweet But Sassy sauce starts out a bit thin (hey, it was born a dipping sauce), but it’ll set up once it gets on your hot wings. And, nothing wrong with having a little bowl of extra sauce on the side for dipping your wings. Just remember, if your sauce has been refrigerated, let it set out for at least an hour before using. You don’t want to put a cold sauce on hot wings.

My wife loves sweet heat sauces, and this is definitely one of her favorites.

Frederik’s By Meijer Hatch Chile Wing Sauce Wings

I have to say that here in the mid-west, I hadn’t had much of a history with Hatch chiles until a few years ago when I bought an entire case of them and roasted them. I’ve been searching them out ever since. To my pleasant surprise, along came Frederik’s by Meijer Hatch Chile wing sauce. This sauce is nice and creamy and not too thick. I could see the Hatch (and green) chiles floating happily in the bottle. I knew I was in for goodness.

Frederik's By Meijer Hatch Chile Wings

Fantastic Hatch Chile Flavor

Frederik’s by Meijer Hatch Chile wing sauce has a hint of garlic. And just the slightly amount of heat. And plenty of great balanced pepper flavors. I mean you can taste the peppers! Don’t laugh. I’ve had sauces that said they tasted like something-or-other and they didn’t even come close. This sauce delivers on its pepper promise.

June Moon Nashville Wing Sauce Wings

For me, June Moon Nashville wing sauce wings are like a sweet version of one of my favorite things to eat, Nashville hot chicken. Not quite as spicy as you can get, but packed with plenty of cayenne heat and flavor. Add a bit of honey and brown sugar to tame that heat a bit and offset the earthiness from the pepper. These are mighty good wings, and ones that I enjoyed immensely. I’m a big fan of Nashville hot chicken, and although this isn’t the thick lard-based paste you get on the real thing, this sauce reminds me a lot of the African-inspired dish.

June Moon Nashville Wings

Tremendous Flavor without a lot of Heat

I wasn’t shy with the sauce when I made some June Moon Nashville wing sauce wings. I sampled the sauce right out of the bottle as soon as I opened it and knew I was in for a treat. So, no messing around. I added some to my right-out-of-the-air-fryer wings and tossed them good. Then I added a bit more and tossed some more. I really enjoyed the heavy cayenne flavor.
