Sweet Baby Ray’s Nashville Hot Wing Sauce Wings

True story. Goldilocks and the Three Bears was originally written about Nashville hot wing sauces! It’s right there in the book: “Goldilocks moved to the third plate of wings, with Sweet Baby Ray’s Nashville hot wing sauce, and took a bite.  “It is just right!” And before she knew it, the wings were all gone. And she was right, this is a great sauce. I knew that any sauce from SBR would have the perfect balance of flavor and heat. There are a lot of Nashville-inspired wing and BBQ sauces out there, but this one ranks way, way up at the top. Get yourself soon before the bears find out about it!

Sweet Baby Ray's Nashville Hot Wings

Nicely Flavored, Nicely Spicy

Sweet Baby Ray’s Nashville hot wing sauce has a bit of a kick, but it’s definitely not a 4-alarm fire sauce. If you’re looking for a crazy hot Nashville chicken experience, you’ll get that classic flavor here but without the mouth-burning heat.

Crispy Air Fryer Parmesan Wings

Well, here I go again. Another wing variation that I just cannot get enough of. Give me an excuse to use a lot of Parmesan and I’m going to go all-in. And that’s what I did with these crispy air fryer Parmesan wings. Perfectly crunchy bite-thru skin. Like crazy perfect. Great by itself, but add an easy garlic-flavored Parmesan topping and I’m going full bulldog on it. I loved these wings. They are perfect!

Crispy Air Fryer Parmesan Wings

Oh So Cheesy!

The original recipe for these crispy air fryer Parmesan wings called for adding chives. I love chives. Chives would’ve been great on these wings. But sadly, no chives were to be found near me. So I went with just a little parsley, mostly for color. I was ok without the chives since I was in town for the Parmesan!

Nice and Crispy

You can use the approach in this recipe for making crispy skin on any air fryer wing recipe. Whether you are using a store-bought seasoning or just salt and pepper, add a bit of baking soda before cooking the wings.

Lawry’s Mango Habanero Dry Wings

I bought a big ole bottle of this seasoning, and I do mean big. Good thing that it’s really good stuff! Sometimes I sprinkle it on my wings before I cook and sauce them. And sometimes, I sprinkle it on my wings before and after I cook them. Lawry’s Mango Habanero dry wings are fantastic. They have some kick to them, some heat. It’ll make your lips tingle for sure. And it has a wonderful, almost tropical, mango flavor. Usually I’d expect that more from a sauce, but here it’s in a wonderful seasoning instead.

Lawry's Mango Habanero Dry Wings

Good Thing It Comes In A Big Bottle

Lawry’s Mango Habanero seasoning comes in a big ole bottle. It has the right-sized holes in the lid so you can shake it out nice and evenly over your wings. It says it’ll season 69 pounds of wings just from one bottle. Good thing, because I eat a lot of wings and this stuff is great! Make yourself a batch of Lawry’s Mango Habanero dry wings today!

June Moon Jamaican Jerk Wing Sauce Wings

The bottle doesn’t have to say ‘wing sauce’ to mean it’s only for wings. These June Moon Jamaican Jerk wing sauce wings are proof of that. Once again, the June Moon Spice Company has packed only the freshest of ingredients into a fantastic sauce. Not overwhelming, this jerk sauce adds tremendous flavor to wings (or roasted or grilled chicken for that matter). Oh, and yes the sauce smells fantastic. You can’t have a great jerk sauce without that wonderful aroma!

June Moon Jamaican Jerk Wings

Fantastic Island-Inspired Wings

June Moon Jamaican Jerk wing sauce wings bring that jerk flavor because the sauce is packed with ingredients that go into an authentic sauce. You got your garlic, ginger, cinnamon… Brown sugar, lime juice, apple cider vinegar… And of course, all spice. But not too much. I’ve had some jerk sauces that had so much all spice in them I almost passed out. Not here. Just the right amount for me.

If I am serving my wings with Ranch or blue cheese or some other sauce, I use these little sauce dipping cups. They’re the perfect size for dipping wings, nuggets, tenders and even vegetables.

Croix Valley Tequila Lime Wing Sauce Wings

Croix Valley Tequila Lime wing sauce is different. It’s rather unlike most wings sauces. In a way it kind of reminded me of a few Thai chili wing sauces I’ve tried, but only in a way. It’s a little on the sweet side (I mean that in a good way). There are hints of tequila and lime that add a bit of a tang. It has a little bit of jalapeno but it’s not spicy. The flavor, though, oh! This is crazy delicious sauce. I could not stop licking my fingers. I wanted more sauce. More!

Croix Valley Tequila Lime Wings

A Totally Different, Totally Delicious Sauce

Croix Valley Tequila Lime wing sauce wings are just flat-out enjoyable. Like their other sauces, this is a quality sauce. Good stuff is in the bottle. Yes, bottle. Glass. No plastic here. This is what makes a good sauce better. I’d buy and use this sauce again and again without hesitation.

Remember that if you have to refrigerate your open bottle of wing sauce to let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.

Lillie’s Q Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce Wings

There are a number of guarantees in life. You know, like taxes. And that any seasoning or sauce from Lillie’s Q is going to be amazing. Amazing in flavor, amazing in quality, amazing in every way that is important. Lillie’s Q Hot Buffalo wing sauce is a guaranteed winner. You know what you’re in for. A hot Buffalo wing sauce. I mean, that’s kind of obvious! But you know that Lillie’s is going to deliver those classic flavors in a sauce that is perfectly balanced, wonderfully spicy, and just the right consistency to stick to your wings.

Lillies Q Hot Buffalo Wings

Oh So Good Buffalo-Inspired Flavors

Many wing sauces come in plastic bottles. I get that. It’s a cost thing. A freight thing. Not Lillie’s Q Hot Buffalo wing sauce. Nothing but thick, glass bottles here. For the same reason beer tastes better out of a glass bottle, wing sauce tastes better out of glass. It’s another reason why you know going in that you’re in for a great sauce.

PS: Don’t say I didn’t warn you. The bottle does say ‘hot’ right there on the front of the label. It’s not a misprint.

Also try Lillie’s Q less-heat version of this sauce!

Mambo Wings

It’s amazing how many great chicken wing recipes there are. Everything from the mild to the sweet to the volcanic hot. That’s why I love them, I can have a different flavor every day. Well, almost every day. I don’t actually eat wings every day, although I’m sure I could and never ever get bored with them.

I recently stumbled upon Mambo sauce (among many other great recipes) on a blog by Levy Restaurants, a family of different restaurants around the US. So, I thought “Now, here’s something different. A tomato-based wing sauce with Asian flavors. I gotta try it!” So I did, and boy, was I happy that I did.

Mambo Wings

Sweet Heat Perfection

Mambo sauce, like many great wing sauces, is a combination of sweet (a little pineapple and sugar) and acid (white vinegar and hot sauce), and the best part, a bit of heat (thank you Frank’s RedHot!). You’ll start out thinking you’re having a teriyaki-inspired wing, and finish up thinking you had a Buffalo wing. It’s great, like a journey of flavors.

According to the Levy Restaurant’s blog, Mambo sauce is also great on fries. I can definitely see that. And I will also try it as a steak marinade.

I store my leftover homemade sauces in squeeze bottles. If refrigerated, I set them out an hour before using so they come to room temperature. You don’t want to put cold sauce on hot wings!

You’ll want to make some mango barbecue wings too!

June Moon Honey Mustard Wing Sauce Wings

I thought that these June Moon honey mustard wing sauce wings were absolutely outstanding. I like mustard, but I don’t like it overly… mustardy. This sauce isn’t overbearingly mustardy. Not this sauce, no. It’s spot-on with the right balance of mustard and the sweetness of honey but it’s not crazy sweet either. This is one great experience on a chicken wing, right here. Get some and you’ll be happy too!

June Moon Honey Mustard Wings

Mustardy Goodness without being too Mustardy

June Moon honey mustard wing sauce wings are a great alternative to your standard, Buffalo-style wings. Mix it up. Do a little of both. This sauce is just the right creamy thickness, with just the right flavor to satisfy anyone. Like their other sauces, June Moon hit this one out of the park!

G Hughes Sugar Free Caribbean Jerk Wing Sauce Wings

Sometimes I get a little worried when I’m about to try a new (to me) jerk sauce. I’ve run into a few that had just too much cinnamon or nutmeg for me. Well, G Hughes Sugar Free Caribbean Jerk wing sauce nailed the flavor perfectly. No worries here, this is one really tasty jerk sauce. The flavors aren’t too forward, no single one overpowers the rest. The sauce is thinner than many, but it is sugar free so you can’t really expect something like a thick sugary sauce!

G Hughes Sugar Free Caribbean Jerk Wings

Low in Heat, High in Flavor

G Hughes Sugar Free Caribbean Jerk wing sauce is not spicy, so don’t get all worried that you’re going to be wallowing in scotch bonnet pain. A more traditional sauce could be spicier, but the flavors more than made up for the low heat level at least for me.

This sauce would also make a tremendous chicken marinade. It’s full of flavor!

Cajun Buffalo Wings

I admit, not everything in this sauce screams Cajun, but these Cajun Buffalo wings are so darned tasty I didn’t care. Everything I love is in this sauce which explains my addiction to it. I cannot stop eating wings tossed in it. A little heat, lots of (yummy) garlic, and just the right amount of traditional Buffalo flavor, this sauce is a real winner.

Cajun Buffalo Wings

Amazing Flavor in Every Bite

If you want your Cajun Buffalo wings to be even more on the spicy side, use Frank’s RedHot Hot Buffalo Wings sauce. Or go with mild for less heat. I opted for less heat this time and really enjoyed it. Not every wing sauce has to sear the roof of your mouth.

You’ll love the flavors of these wings as much as I did. It’s great stuff! For a nice twist also try my Cajun Bay wings.
