Honey Old Bay Wings

My addiction to Old Bay seasoning began long ago. And as often as possible, I feed my addiction. Seafood and wings are my favorite uses of the classic seasoning. These honey Old Bay wings not only have that great seafood seasoning flavor, they have a bit of sweetness too. And a bit of heat. Not a lot, but just a hint. Nothing to overpower the main reason I made these wings: Old Bay flavor. I’m a big time Old Bay addict and I’m ok admitting it.

Honey Old Bay Wings

The Perfect Wings?

My favorite variation on these honey Old Bay wings is to leave out the cayenne pepper and substitute Mike’s Hot Honey for ‘regular’ honey instead. Mike’s Hot Honey is just that: hot danged honey! It’s creamy smooth and packs a serious kick. It’s not for the faint of heart, so if you’re a bit worried about the heat, try adding just a bit of it to your ‘regular’ honey and give it a taste.

Buffalo Wild Wings Jammin’ Jalapeno Wing Sauce Wings

Where have I been that I haven’t tried Buffalo Wild Wings Jammin’ Jalapeno wing sauce? I mean, dang I love this sauce! Just a bit spicy (perfectly so). A hint of lime (but not too lime-y!). And just a bit of Tequila (not much but it adds a little something). I truly enjoyed this sauce, it’s one of my all-time store-bought favorites. If you’re looking for something different, something that stands out from your ‘usual’ Buffalo wing sauce, this sauce is for you.

Great Sauces, Grab yourself Some!

This wing sauce is just one of the sauces I picked up at my local BW3 the other day. I admit it, I backed up the truck and bought one of each. And all of their wing seasonings too. There’s just no point in picking up one or two. There are wings to make. This isn’t the time to dilly dally.

Needless to say, you’ll be seeing a lot more BW3s posts here soon.

Kosmos Q Honey Barbecue Wing Dust Wings

I’m a HUGE fan of dry wings. You know, wings that are cooked up nice and crunchy then tossed with a seasoning such as Kosmos Q’s Honey Barbecue wing dust. No sauce. Yeah, you can have a dipping sauce, but the wings themselves are not tossed in anything but seasoning. I’m happy to see more and more restaurants and bars now offer dry wings in addition to wet ones.

I tossed some air fryer wings with Kosmos Q’s Honey Barbecue wing dust and proceeded to devour each and every one. And quickly. I loved the lightly smoky, lightly sweet seasoning. They weren’t quite what I would call dessert wings, but I sure felt like I was cheating on my diet when I was eating them (even though I wasn’t!). The dust is definitely finger-licking good!

Kosmos Q Honey Barbecue Wing Dust Wings

Not Just For Wings, Nope

Kosmos Q Honey Barbecue wing dust isn’t just for wings, nope. This stuff is fantastic on a grilled chicken, be it pieces or a whole bird. You can sprinkle it on popcorn. And on roasted peanuts. Ribs. Anywhere you’re looking for some BBQ sweetness, reach for Kosmos Q first.

You get a lot in each and every bag of Kosmos Q’s wing dusts. The seasonings are high quality and seasoned perfectly. You won’t regret buying it. And you won’t regret doing what I did: buy a bag of each and every flavor!

Crispy Convection Oven Wings

Most of the time I make wings either on a charcoal grill using the Vortex insert, on my Char-Broil Big Easy, in an air fryer, or I deep fry them. But sometimes none of those options are available. That’s when I ‘fire up’ my convection oven. And you know, the wings are actually pretty darned good! Nothing will ever match deep frying wings in oil, but this is close enough when a deep fryer isn’t available. These crispy convection oven wings satisfy my wing craving just fine, thank you!

Crispy Convection Oven Wings

No Sad Wings!

When your crispy convection oven wings are done, don’t make them sad by adding cold wing sauce right out of the fridge! That cold sauce will kill some of that crispiness that you had, and it’ll make your wings mighty darned cold! So if you’re using leftover, refrigerated sauce, warm it up while the wings are cooking. Then sauce those little beauties right out of the oven!

Buffalo Wild Wings Parmesan Garlic Wing Sauce Wings

Oh yes! How happy was I with these Buffalo Wild Wings Parmesan Garlic wing sauce wings! Creamy, garlicky and loaded with Parmesan, it was a welcome change from the Buffalo sauce-inspired wing sauces that I’d been having. In a way, it’s like a thickened Italian salad dressing, and you definitely could use this sauce on a salad, believe me. But it’s much more than that. This is great stuff and nice and different.

Buffalo Wild Wings Parmesan Garlic Wings

Finger-Licking Delicious

Buffalo Wild Wings Parmesan Garlic wing sauce is also absolutely fantastic slathered on roasted chicken. Just minutes before your chicken is done, brush a few good coats of sauce on the bird and finish cooking until done.

This sauce is also great on rotisserie chicken or even turkey!

Remember that if you have to refrigerate your open bottle of wing sauce to let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.

Sweet Baby Ray’s Buffalo Wing Sauce Wings

I’ve been using Sweet Baby Ray’s barbecue sauce for years. It’s a great sauce as-is, but it also makes for a good starter for making my own BBQ sauce. But until now I’d never tried their Buffalo wing sauce. For some reason, I needed a coupon to get me off my butt and to the grocery store to pick up a bottle. Well, boy am I sorry for having waited so long to try it. This sauce makes for the perfect Buffalo wings. It is exactly what I was looking for when I made a quick batch of air fryer wings for lunch the other day. The right consistency, the right amount of spice, it’s spot-on good.

Sweet Baby Ray's Buffalo Wings

It’s Got A Good Kick.

I’ve read a few reviews of Sweet Baby Ray’s Buffalo wing sauce that say it’s too spicy. Well, yeah, each of us has a different definition of what’s spicy, but I definitely found this to be just right. It has a bit of kick. Hey, it’s a Buffalo wing sauce. It contains cayenne pepper. It’s gonna have some heat. But for me, it’s definitely not over the top.

Don’t wait around for a coupon to pick up a bottle of this sauce. Learn from my mistakes!

Air Fryer Wings

Well, I admit it. I had no idea how good wings made in an air fryer could be. I figured, meh, air fryer wings… But, like my convection oven wings, they came out moist, tender, and with great crunchy skin! These wings make for the perfect quick lunch, which is why they’ve quickly become a standard dish around our house. I didn’t need any help with my wing addiction, these just made it worse!

Air Fryer Wings

Skip the sugary seasonings

I recommend that you use a rub or seasoning that doesn’t contain sugar when you make air fryer wings. Now, you can certainly add a sweet rub after the wings are cooked, but that seasoning will tend to burn (or at least char) if you have it on the wings while they cook. Just good old salt is fine. The salt won’t overpower the wings and will let you add any sauce or seasoning later without having to worry about the tastes conflicting with each other.

Air Fryer wings rock!

I actually had no plans to get an air fryer. Our neighbor gave me her spare after receiving a new one for Christmas. It took one batch of wings to convince me that I was missing out. I eventually wore it out so I bought the exact same model to replace it. It easily makes enough wings for two people.

Also try my duck fat air fryer wings! If you prefer your wings baked, my garlic Parmesan wings made in the oven are also fantastic.

Perdue makes a line of already-breaded ready-for-the-air-fryer wings that are devour-worthy! Give their hot ‘n spicy, lemon pepper and roasted wings a try!

  • Cook at 360 F for 12 minutes.
  • Carefully flip the wings (rotate the drumettes if they are standing) and cook another 12 minutes again at 360 F.
  • Flip the wings one last time. Cook another 6 minutes at 400 F.
  • Remove and toss with your favorite wing sauce. Click here for our guide on how to sauce your wings.

Buffalo Wild Wings Chipotle BBQ Dry Wings

Sometimes I like to sit back and enjoy a big ole batch of dry wings. No sauce on them. Maybe some Ranch or blue cheese for dipping. But mostly just well-seasoned good ole wings. Like these Buffalo Wild Wings Chipotle BBQ dry wings. This is some of the best wing dust I’ve had. It has a hint of smoke and a hint of spiciness. A touch of sweetness. I found myself licking my fingers non-stop after each and every wing. You can’t beat the flavors from Buffalo Wild Wings.

Gold Fever Wings

Mustard. Chicken wings. I had no idea. Sure, I like mustard. On sandwiches, or hot dogs. Or burgers. But, wings? My beloved chicken wings? Yes. Oh yes. Gold Fever chicken wings have quickly rocketed to the top of the ‘chicken wings that we want regularly’ list around here. My wife absolutely loves them. Oh, and don’t worry about them being overly mustardy, either. There’s plenty of traditional Buffalo wing flavor too.

Gold Fever Wings

Buffalo Wings with a Mustardy Twist

I just made a big batch of Gold Fever wings a few days ago. I’m making another tomorrow. That’s how good they are. Finger-licking good. Honey mustard. Traditional Buffalo-wing sauce flavors. Chicken wings. Fantastic. You can’t beat that combination.

This sauce is also great on smoked or grilled pork ribs.
