The Mustard Man Simply Sweet Wings

Every day I wake up and am more and more a fan of mustardy wing sauces. Even if they don’t start out as wing sauces. The Mustard Man has made me a big believer of them. This time, I squeezed some delicious, creamy Simply Sweet mustard onto a batch of hot wings and dove in like a man possessed. This sauce isn’t overly mustardy. It’s slightly sweet, but not too much so. It’s definitely finger-licking good. If you don’t think that mustard right out of a bottle doesn’t belong on wings, this sauce will change your mind with the very first bite.

Mustard On Wings Is A Win

I like to sauce my wings with The Mustard Man Simply Sweet mustard as soon as they’re done. While they’re still nice and hot. The creamy mustard melts all over the wings making them … well, glorious is the only word I can think of right now!

What Are You Waiting For?

Go make some wings! It’s not that hard to do! My go-to method is to air-fry them. A little seasoning first. Air-fried to perfection. Fantastic aroma as they cook. Crispy skin. Juicy meat. Tender. Ready for a sauce. Air-fried wings can hold up to being tossed with sauce, so that’s what I do. If they were deep-fried with a batter I wouldn’t abuse them like that. I’d gently brush the sauce on. Or serve it on the side, for dipping.

My Trusty Wingman

My air fryer isn’t fancy. It doesn’t have any bells and whistles. Well, ok, it does have a bell when the timer goes off but that’s it. I don’t even use the timer actually. I use a timer on my phone that has two countdowns: one for 12 minutes and one for 6 minutes. That’s all I ever need to get perfect wings each and every time!

Plucker’s Gold Rush Wings

I didn’t think I’d be as much a fan of a creamy, mustardy wing sauce as I ended up being when I tasted Plucker’s Gold Rush wing sauce on a batch of wings hot out of my air fryer. There are three kinds of mustard wing sauce: those with too little mustard, those with too much mustard, and those (the few) that are just perfect. This one is just perfect. Finger-lickingly good perfect. If I bite into a mustard-sauce wing and I smile, it’s crazy good and not just sorta good. I smiled a lot eating these!

Another Tasty Sauce From Plucker’s

Plucker’s Gold Rush wing sauce is great on hot dogs, grilled or smoked ribs. And chicken (well, like other than wings of course!) too! And it makes for a great dipping sauce for chicken nuggets. It’s another great example of the quality, tasty wing sauces you can find at Plucker’s.

Remember that if you have to refrigerate your open bottle of wing sauce to let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.

Brownwood Farms Slatherin’ Wings

Oh, how I love Brownwood Farms Slatherin’ wing sauce. I’m not always a big mustard-sauce fan, some are a bit too mustardy for me. But not this sauce. This is spot-on great mustard flavor here. And all in a nice and creamy sauce with just a bit of spiciness. It’s a rich, deeply flavored sauce that makes for the perfect batch of Brownwood Farms Slatherin’ wings.

The Perfect Mustardy Balance

I can’t wait to make another batch of wings and toss them with Brownwood Farms Slatherin’ wing sauce. And, I also cannot wait to slather this sauce on grilled chicken breasts, or better, a whole grilled spatchcocked chicken. I can also see this sauce on a future grilled or smoked rack of ribs. Along with great flavor, this sauce has the perfect consistency so I don’t have to worry about it not sticking to my next grilled dish! And it sticks great to my Brownwood Farms Slatherin’ wings!
