I am completely sold on the Private Selection (Kroger’s premium brand) line of wing sauces. Whomever came up with the flavors deserves a raise in my book. Each one has been fantastic, and believe me I’ve tried them all. The Private Selection Hot Mandarin wings sauce is no exception. It’s a wonderful combination of scotch bonnet peppers, garlic and mandarin oranges. Also, it packs a little punch and brings a little sweet. It’s very, very tasty and makes for cool looking wings!
Spicy. But Not Crazy Spicy.
If you’re worried about the scotch bonnet peppers being too hot, don’t be. Granted, I do like a bit of heat, and Private Selection Hot Mandarin wings sauce brings it, but it’s not overwhelming.
Remember that if you have to refrigerate your open bottle of wing sauce to let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.
