Kinder’s Honey Hot BBQ Wings

Maybe you’ve heard of ‘sweet heat’ and just aren’t sure what that is. Or maybe you have heard of it, love it, and are craving more of it. Either way, Kinder’s Honey Hot BBQ wings are here to do one thing and that’s make you happy. The honey brings that wonderful natural sweetness. A little jalapeno brings just a kiss of spiciness. A hint of smoke all in a tomato-based sauce makes you think ‘backyard BBQ’. This is a great BBQ sauce that’s even better on wings.

Stir it Up

Sometimes I toss my Kinder’s Honey Hot BBQ wings in sauce. Sometimes I serve the sauce on the side (I like it warmed just slightly). But one thing I don’t do is toss battered deep-fried wings in sauce. I don’t want to loose that wonderful crusty coating. So if I’m serving deep-fried wings I either serve the sauce separately or I stir the wings gently after drizzling them with sauce using a rubber spatula.

Terrapin Ridge Farms Sweet Heat Wings

This is the second bottle of Terrapin Ridge Farms wing sauce that I’ve tried. The first, Hot Pepper Bacon, was a major hit in my household. But I cannot say it was my favorite…. because Terrapin Ridge Farms Sweet Heat Wings sauce is at least as good! This sauce has a hint of mustard flavor, but not too much so it’s too strong. It’s a little on the sweet side, and I mean that in a good way. The heat level is just perfect for me. Not too spicy, and not too mild.

Terrapin Ridge Farms Sweet Heat Wings

Get a bottle… or two…

Terrapin Ridge Farms Sweet Heat wings sauce is a great sauce for wings. I picked up my bottle at a Buc-ee’s in Sevierville, TN, but you can order them online also. I’d definitely suggest you get more than one, and that you get every flavor because I’m a big fan of this company’s sauces. You will be too.

I also cannot wait to try this sauce on grilled ribs or whole chicken.

Honey Hot Fried Wings

These honey hot fried wings were absolutely incredible. They’re deep-fried. The result is a crunchy skin and batter flavored with one of my favorite things, Old Bay seasoning. The sauce is a combination of honey, hot sauce and sesame oil. It’s a different taste that is amazing. Sweet, heat and umami in each and every bite. What started out as a shrimp recipe ended up being some of the best wings I’ve ever had. I cannot say enough how wonderful these were.

Honey Hot Fried Wings

Deep-Fried Deliciousness

I didn’t sauce these honey hot fried wings like I would my traditional deep fried wings. The sauce is full of flavor. Use it sparingly. The wings are ‘kissed’ with the sauce. Not drowned in it. It’s ok to double to sauce portion of the recipe if you prefer more sauce.

If I’m cooking for a crowd, I’ll break out my big deep fryer to make wings like these. But, if it’s just the two of us, I’ll fire up my Fry Daddy fryer. It’s the perfect size for both of us. It fries everything perfectly. And as an added bonus, it doesn’t use a lot of oil, which saves me money.
