Cholula Original Hot Sauce has long been a favorite of mine. I’ve used it on dishes and on wings for years. That’s why I was absolutely ecstatic when I saw that the folks at Cholula came out with their own pre-made wing sauces. I couldn’t grab them off the shelves at my local market quick enough. The first one I tried, Cholula Mexicali wing sauce, blew me away. This is the perfect just-spicy-enough wing sauce, with just a hint of citrus and cilantro. I could just drink this sauce right out of the bottle. But first, I had to make some Cholula Mexicali wings!

This Sauce Is Great On Everything

Cholula Mexicali wing sauce is definitely not just for wings. I use it like a regular hot sauce, on tacos, enchiladas, you name it. I love the citrus and cilantro twist. But on Cholula Mexicali wings, oh, it’s just amazing! And hey, it comes in a cool looking bottle!

What Are You Waiting For?

Go make some wings! It’s not that hard to do! My go-to method is to air-fry them. A little seasoning first. Air-fried to perfection. Fantastic aroma as they cook. Crispy skin. Juicy meat. Tender. Ready for a sauce. Air-fried wings can hold up to being tossed with sauce, so that’s what I do. If they were deep-fried with a batter I wouldn’t abuse them like that. I’d gently brush the sauce on. Or serve it on the side, for dipping.

My Trusty Wingman

My air fryer isn’t fancy. It doesn’t have any bells and whistles. Well, ok, it does have a bell when the timer goes off but that’s it. I don’t even use the timer actually. I use a timer on my phone that has two countdowns: one for 12 minutes and one for 6 minutes. That’s all I ever need to get perfect wings each and every time!
