I have to admit, this recipe seemed a little… odd…. when I first read it. Diced onion in Ranch dressing was not something I’d done before. In a French dressing, sure. But not Ranch. And when I first made this and tried it the onion confused my tongue. Little crunchy things made me think blue cheese crumbles but they didn’t taste like blue cheese. But I powered forward and let me say, I absolutely loved this garlic Ranch dipping sauce. It needed a full night in the fridge to really come to full flavor. And once it did, I found it perfect for dipping my wings.

This garlic Ranch dipping sauce was just what I needed along side my screaming-hot Buffalo wings. I needed something to cool me off. I was sweating. And yes, I was crying. But, a quick dunk in this sauce brought me back to normal. Well, as normal as I was before I took that first bite at least.

This sauce has the right consistency to stick to your wings. Without being too thick. And that’s important. The onions soften overnight, adding great flavor without being ‘chunky’.

And of course, it’s great on salads, too. Or for dipping your carrot and celery sticks.
