B.Bob’s Roasted Mango Chipotle Wings

These B.Bob’s Roasted Mango Chipotle wings were so good that that last bite was almost a tearful moment for me. This sauce is amazing. It’s the kind of sauce I really love. A little sweet. A little citrusy. And just a kiss of heat. Man, this is great stuff. Yeah, sure, you can use it for a whole lot of things, from a cream cheese topping to a dipping sauce for chicken nuggets. And I’m quite sure it’s flat-out terrific on shrimp. But man, it really shines on wings. And this is a wing blog, so… wings it is!

Me, Salt And Pepper, and Sauce

I did not get complicated when I made these B.Bob’s Roasted Mango Chipotle wings. This wasn’t the time for that. I made my straightforward, simple air fryer wings. No fancy coating. No fru-fru seasoning mix. Salt. Pepper. Cook. Sauce. Ok, lots of sauce. I can’t get enough of this sauce. Yes, I licked my plate clean. I did, and I’m not ashamed to admit it. Really. And I’d do it again, too. Because no way am I wasting any of this sauce.

You can serve your wings with your favorite dipping sauce. Like blue cheese or ranch dressing. If you want to. But do the right thing and try them without it first. You might decide (like I did), that no way do you need anything else. The sauced wings are plenty good by themselves, thank you very much!

Real Food

There’s real stuff floating in this sauce. You can see it. Fruit chunks. Pepper chunks. Actual stuff that came from actual plants. Not fake stuff. Not weird-tasting stuff. That’s a big plus. And it’s a big reason why this sauce is so amazingly good.

This sauce is nice and thick. It’s not going to go running off your wings and down your forearm. It stays where it’s supposed to. Until you devour it.

Instructions

  • Lightly spray the basket of your air fryer with non-stick spray. Preheat per manufacturer’s recommendation.
  • Sprinkle the salt and pepper over the wings and toss to coat.
  • Add the wings to the basket (be careful it’s hot!). If you have trouble fitting them without overlapping, stand the drumettes along the sides of the basket.
  • Cook at 360 F for 12 minutes for large wings, 10 minutes for smaller ones.
  • Carefully flip the wings (rotate the drumettes if they are standing) and cook another 12 minutes again (10 minutes for smaller wings) at 375 F.
  • Flip the wings one last time. Increase the temperature to 390 F and cook another 6 minutes (4 minutes for smaller wings).
  • Remove and toss with your favorite wing sauce.  Click here for our guide on how to sauce your wings.

Pepper Palace Peach Barbecue Sauce Wings

I was making my way around the sampling bar at a Pepper Palace store (one of the many I’ve been to), when I came across the peach barbecue sauce. As you guessed it, the sampling bar lets you try out the various sauces, be they wing, barbecue, salsas or hot sauces, before buying them. I gave the peach sauce a try and instantly put a bottle in my cart. I knew the sauce would be great on a rack of grilled or smoked ribs. And it’d be fantastic on my Pepper Palace Peach Barbecue wings.

So easy, yet so good!

It’s hard to get any easier than this recipe. Just cook up some wings and sauce them. Whether you opt to go light or heavy on the sauce, these Pepper Palace Peach Barbecue sauce wings bring a nice fruity flavor that isn’t overpowering. It’s really like biting into fresh peaches, all in a lightly sweet BBQ sauce. It’s finger-licking good, for sure!

Remember that if you have to refrigerate your open bottle of sauce, let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.
