It didn’t take me long to become a huge fan of HP Brown Sauce. To describe it I guess I’d call it like a thick A-1 steak sauce. But also kind of Worcestershire-sauce like. It’s almost like a BBQ sauce, but without the seasoning. Add a few extra ingredients and it makes for a tremendous wing sauce. These British pub-style HP sauce BBQ wings take little time to prepare. And even less time to devour. I loved them!

Ch-ch-changing
You can adjust the flavor of these British pub-style HP Brown Sauce BBQ wings pretty easily. Just play around with different BBQ sauces. I loved using a honey BBQ sauce that had a little smokiness to it. Use a spicy sauce for even more heat. The HP brown sauce is a wonderful base that you can tinker with a bit. No matter what, you’ll love the sauce. Or you can leave it alone.
Oh yes, this sauce is fantastic on smoked pulled pork or ribs and of course, chicken!
Don’t Hurt The Wings
You’ve spent all that time making great wings. No matter what you used to cook them. Air fryer. Deep fryer. Grill. Doesn’t matter. You made great-looking wings. Now it’s time to sauce them. Last thing you want to do is beat your wings to death saucing them. Especially if they have a crunchy batter on them. No. Follow my guide for saucing your wings to make sure you don’t knock any of that delicious batter or seasoning off them while doing it.
Wait until the last minute before serving your wings to sauce them. That’ll preserve that crunchy skin you’ve worked so hard for. Or do I as often to and serve the sauce on the side. Just dunk your wings instead. Keep them dry until you’re ready to take that glorious bite. Then into the sauce they go! I use condiment cups for this occasion!
