This is not the first time I’ve been highly impressed with a wing sauce from Private Selection. I got this sauce at Kroger and each and every bottle has been packed with excitingly new flavors. Like this Private Selection Smoked Serrano wing sauce. Oh it’s spicy, but it’s not so hot that you don’t get the flavors of the three delicious peppers that make up the sauce: jalapeno, serrano and chipotles. The smokiness adds a nice twist. This Mexican-inspired wing sauce is absolutely fantastic, and a little different than the usual Buffalo-inspired sauces. And it makes for some fantastic Private Selection Smoked Serrano wings!

Just The Right Amount Of Heat
The Private Selection Smoked Serrano wing sauce bottle does say ‘hot’ on it. Sometimes that worries me. Will it be so hot that I can’t actually taste the sauce? Or will it disappoint me and be sadly mild and as spicy as a banana? This sauce is spot-on where it should be on the spicy scale. So, my worries were unfounded. And these Private Selection Smoked Serrano wings were fantastic!

What Are You Waiting For?
Go make some wings! It’s not that hard to do! My go-to method is to air-fry them. A little seasoning first. Air-fried to perfection. Fantastic aroma as they cook. Crispy skin. Juicy meat. Tender. Ready for a sauce. Air-fried wings can hold up to being tossed with sauce, so that’s what I do. If they were deep-fried with a batter I wouldn’t abuse them like that. I’d gently brush the sauce on. Or serve it on the side, for dipping.

My Trusty Wingman
My air fryer isn’t fancy. It doesn’t have any bells and whistles. Well, ok, it does have a bell when the timer goes off but that’s it. I don’t even use the timer actually. I use a timer on my phone that has two countdowns: one for 12 minutes and one for 6 minutes. That’s all I ever need to get perfect wings each and every time!

This is my new favorite wing sauce. I cannot believe how good this is. It has a nice heat but the tang is addicting. I love it. I picked it up on a whim. Hopefully they keep it around!
I agree! It’s a fantastic sauce. I’ve actually liked all of the Private Selection sauces I’ve tried so far.
