These are my absolute favorite Asian-inspired wings, and after years of testing, tweaking, and frankly eating way too many wings, this is the list I keep coming back to.

What I love about this category is how wide it is. Asian-inspired doesn’t mean one sauce or one style. It can mean sticky, glossy wings coated in a sweet and savory hoisin glaze that bakes right onto the skin. It can mean bright, citrusy orange chicken wings that are more savory than sweet. It can mean unmistakable Thai curry that hits you with warm spice the second you take a bite, or a chili-based Thai ‘R Cracker style that rides that line between sweet heat and tangy zing.

Some of these recipes are completely homemade, built from pantry staples like soy sauce, ginger, garlic, sesame oil, honey, and gochujang, so you can control the heat and sweetness exactly how you like it. Others lean on store-bought shortcuts that are just too good not to use, like Japanese barbecue sauce — both the original and spicy versions — which I honestly could eat with a spoon, or a great bottled teriyaki dry seasoning. That mix of from-scratch and semi-homemade is intentional, because sometimes you want a project and sometimes you just want great wings fast.
