Ingredients
For the wings

chicken wings
flats and drumettes separated, tips saved to
make stock
Blackening seasoning
from below or use store-bought
For the blackening seasoning

paprika

garlic powder

tablespoon
onion powder
1
tablespoon
dried thyme

teaspoon
freshly ground black pepper

teaspoon
cayenne pepper

teaspoon
dried basil

teaspoon
dried oregano
Instructions
For the blackening seasoning
Combine all ingredients. If your ingredients are lumpy you may want to grind the mix using a mortar and pestle or pulse them a few times in a blender.
For the wings
Season the wings with the seasoning mix.
Preheat your air fryer to 350 F.
Working in batches if needed, air fry the wings for 12 minutes.
Flip the wings and air fry another 12 minutes.
Turn the air fryer temperature to 400 F and fry another 6 minutes or until the wings are golden brown.
Remove the wings and toss in more seasoning.
Notes
The ingredients for the blackening seasoning make more than you'll need. Store unused seasoning in an air-tight container.
