Taste Domination Pepper and Garlic Wings

Taste Domination’s Pepper and Garlic wings sauce is great on wings (duh), believe me. It has a nice amount of spiciness to it. Not too much that you’re in pain and not so little that you’re disappointed. And it definitely brings the garlic punch, too. It’s packed with great flavors, making for a delicious batch of wings!

Taste Domination Pepper and Garlic Wings

I would not think of Taste Domination’s Pepper and Garlic wings sauce as ‘just’ a great wing sauce. You can use it anywhere you use hot sauce. Like in chili. Or drizzled on a grilled chicken. Or use it as a dip for shrimp or chicken nuggets. It’s a great versatile sauce that shines on wings, but is just as fantastic everywhere else.

Remember that if you have to refrigerate your open bottle of wing sauce to let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.

The Spicy Shark Wings

I’d never heard of the Spicy Shark when I came across this sauce in the store. But I knew I had to grab a bottle or ten. The sauce looked good, really good. I saw natural stuff in there, tasty stuff. And hey, the label is cool too, so why not load up and get on home and make some wings! I was definitely not disappointed, either, let me tell you. If you’re looking for a really great, spicy wing sauce that brings something a little different, not the usual Buffalo wing flavor, then the Spicy Shark original recipe wing sauce is definitely for you.

The Spicy Shark Wings

The Spicy Shark wing sauce contains so many natural ingredients it’ll make your head spin. Things you might not think would be in a wing sauce. But boy did they figure out the right combination. It’s spicy, but not overly spicy. You can still taste the sauce, and I love that. I am not a fan of sauces that are so hot my taste buds short circuit and I get nothing but heat. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this sauce again (and I really want to try it slathered on grilled chicken!).

Also try some Chik’n Lik’n wings.

Private Selection Chili Wings

I love the Private Selection (Kroger’s premium brand) line of wing sauces. Each one has been fantastic, and believe me I’ve tried them all. The Private Selection Chili wings sauce is no exception. It’s a wonderful combination of garlic and very mild chile peppers. It packs a very, very light punch and brings a good bit of sweetness. Not too spicy and not too sweet.

Private Selection Chili Wings

Private Selection Chili wings sauce isn’t just a great sauce for wings, either. It’s great for dipping shrimp and chicken nuggets too! But it is absolutely finger-licking fantastic on a batch of hot-out-of-whatever-you-cooked-them-in wings. I admit it, I’m pretty heavy handed with it when I pour it onto my wings.

Noble Made Medium Buffalo Wings

I was perusing the wing sauce section at our local Whole Foods when I came across a few bottles of Noble Made sauce, including their medium Buffalo wing sauce. Never one to pass up a new (to me) sauce, I grabbed a few and headed on home to make a big ole batch of wings. This sauce is lightly spicy, has that great Buffalo wing flavor, and has the perfect consistency. And consistency is important. Too many sauces are thin and watery. You end up with 10 times as much sauce on your plate as you do on your wings. That’s not why you made wings. You want them covered in sauce, not swimming in sauce soup.

Noble Made Medium Buffalo Wings

Next time I’m at Whole Foods I won’t hesitate to grab a few more bottles of Noble Made medium Buffalo wing sauce, along with their other flavors. You can’t go wrong with it. It’s perfect for those occasions when you don’t want a sauce that is so spicy that it scares off your guests.

Kroger Spicy Garlic Wings

Somebody at Kroger wasn’t lying when they named this sauce. Kroger spicy garlic wing sauce is definitely spicy. More so than garlicky. This is a wing sauce that packs a great punch with good flavor, for a really great price. And it’s also the right consistency, important for proper sticking to wings. That’s why you want a wing sauce, right? It’s not gravy, it doesn’t below in the bottom of your plate. It belongs on your wings.

Kroger Spicy Garlic Wings

If you’re using a wing sauce (be it homemade or store-bought like Kroger’s spicy garlic wing sauce) that has been refrigerated always warm it up just a bit before using it. Nothing makes a hot wing cold faster than tossing it in a sauce right out of the fridge.

Torchbearer Buffalo Wings

This Buffalo wing sauce is a little tamer in the heat department, but still oh soooo good. This was my wife’s absolute favorite sauce. And her favorite wings of all time. Of all time! Man, that says a lot when you consider how many wings get eaten around here. My wife is definitely a big fan of Torchbearer Buffalo wings!

This is the second flavor of Torchbearer wing sauce that I’ve tried. The first, chipotle, was beyond crazy good with fantastic flavor and heat.

Torchbearer Buffalo Wings

I coated these Torchbearer Buffalo wings first (ala Hooter’s wings) and then deep fried them. Tossed them in Torchbearer sauce and chowed down. And kept chowing. Oh, and don’t waste your time with those scrawny frozen uncooked wings that look like they came off crickets and not chickens. Get the big, fresh family packs.

Get yourself some of this sauce. You will not be sorry.

Kroger Hot Buffalo Wings

Kroger has a line of low-priced wing sauces that don’t disappoint. These aren’t your fru-fru, big money sauces. They’re basic and cheap, and are perfect for saucing large batches of wings without breaking the bank. Kroger Hot Buffalo Wings Sauce isn’t too terribly hot (to me) but it does pack a nice punch. You won’t be on your knees crying in pain, but you’ll get a kick. Trust me.

Kroger Hot Buffalo Wings

Kroger’s Hot Buffalo Wings Sauce is also great as a dipping sauce for chicken nuggets. You can also mix it with cooked shredded chicken for a great Buffalo chicken sandwich. Grab all of the Kroger wing sauce flavors!

Remember that if you have to refrigerate your open bottle of wing sauce to let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.

Torchbearer Chipotle Wings

I’ve been contemplating how I would start this post for two days now. Not because I was searching for what to write, but because any time I started thinking about these Torchbearer Chipotle wings I got hungry and had to go make something to eat.

We were in Gatlinburg, TN, not too long ago. I stopped in to All Sauced Up, a little gourmet grocery store (full of nice folk) on main (Parkway) street in downtown Gatlinburg. So I grabbed two bottles of wing sauce from Torchbearer Sauces, one spicy chipotle and one Buffalo wing. For one thing, I noticed was that both sauces were made from stuff I wouldn’t expect in a wing sauce, like mandarin oranges. Say what?

Well, say hello to absolutely unbelievably good. I coated these wings with Torchbearer chipotle wings sauce. Yep, its spicy. All in all, it’s got some of the best heat I’ve had. Not in-your-face-crying-tears-of-sadness heat, but good heat with fantastic flavor. The sauce comes out thick and sticks to your wings. Nope, it doesn’t roll off and create a sauce lake in your plate (or basket). It’s just spot-on great sauce.

Torchbearer Chipotle Wings

I could not get enough of these wings. Basically, I coated them first and then deep fried them. Tossed them in Torchbearer chipotle wings sauce and chowed down. So, go get you some of this sauce! You will not be sorry. At all. Oh, and the Torchbearer web site also recommends using this sauce on pork chops and in stir fry. Indeed, you don’t get that from any ole normal wing sauce.

Remember that if you have to refrigerate your open bottle of wing sauce to let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.

Maple Chipotle Wings

I’ve never had chicken wings that were a bit sweet. Never thought of it, really. Until now. Fantastic maple syrup (the real stuff, not the stuff pretending to be maple syrup). Behind that sweetness is a bit of heat and smokiness, thanks to chipotle powder, something I’m finding myself using in more and more dishes every day. These maple chipotle wings are fantastic wings, something different, something pleasantly different. Something people won’t expect.

Maple Chipotle Wings

If you don’t have chipotle powder, you can mix smoked paprika and a bit of cayenne instead. You need that hint of heat to offset the sweetness of the maple syrup, but you don’t want to bury it, so don’t get too heavy-handed with the cayenne if you do substitute it. You’ll still love these maple chipotle wings no matter what.
