Private Selection Peach Carolina Reaper Wings

Here we are again. Another great wing sauce. This is not the first time I’ve been highly impressed with a wing sauce from Private Selection. I found it at Kroger. Each and every bottle has been packed with excitingly new flavors. Like this Peach Carolina Reaper wing sauce. Oh it’s spicy. If you’re not familiar with the Carolina Reaper, it’s one of the hottest peppers in the world. I admit it, I was a bit apprehensive taking my first taste of this sauce. Oh, it’s hot, but it’s not just spicy. It’s wonderfully sweet, with a hint of peaches. I really like this sauce. Despite it being on the hot side!

Private Selection Peach Carolina Reaper Wings

I’ve found myself using Private Selection Peach Carolina Reaper wing sauce on more than just wings. I love it drizzled on fried chicken. And it makes for a crazy good crazy spicy dipping sauce for chicken nuggets too. And what goes better with pork than peaches? Yep, brush it on grilled pork chops or pork loin too!

Quaker Steak and Lube Arizona Ranch Wings

I’ve had a big hankerin’ for some chicken wings ever since we drove over to Cincinnati and went shopping at Jungle Jim’s. I picked up a few bottles of Quaker Steak and Lube wing sauces, including this Arizona Ranch. We’ve actually eaten at a Quaker Steak & Lube near Cincinnati, and really enjoyed it. We can’t wait for them to open one here in Indianapolis!

Quaker Steak and Lube Arizona Ranch Wings

I really like the Quaker Steak and Lube Arizona Ranch sauce. It is like ranch dressing, for grownups. It has some kick, but not enough to scare grandma off. Personally, I’d for more kick, but I wasn’t the only one eating wings! You can see how the Arizona Ranch stacks up heat-wise to the other yummy Quaker Steak & Lube sauces here.

I was worried that for $5-$6, the sauce was over-priced, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that that isn’t the case. For the number of wings I made I used only a little sauce, without sacrificing flavor. And the sauce sticks to the wings. Not gloppy, molasses sticky, but just sticky enough to not run off and form a puddle. I liked that. A lot.

Bourbon Street Wings

Bourbon Street sauce has quickly become the go-to sauce in our house. It’s a very easy sauce to make, using ingredients I always have on hand. I put it on a lot of dishes, like these outstanding Bourbon Street wings. The sauce has a hint of Bourbon, with a little sweetness, and a little heat. Everything you want in a sauce.

Bourbon Street Wings

I make chicken wings in a variety of ways, from deep-fried, to cooked in my Char-Broil Big Easy, to grilled. I recently picked up a Vortex, an insert for your charcoal grill that really concentrates the heat, which makes it possible to make crispy, tasty wings on a grill. What a great invention!

I tossed a family pack (3 or 4 pounds) of wings with a little oil and our Fire-Eater rub and let them ‘get happy’ while I lit up the charcoal. Then the wings went onto the grill, while I made up a batch of Bourbon Street sauce. In less than an hour we were enjoying Bourbon Street wings, and moaning in delight over just how great they were.

I store my leftover homemade sauces in squeeze bottles. If refrigerated, I set them out an hour before using so they come to room temperature. You don’t want to put cold sauce on hot wings!

Buffalo Supreme Wings

Buffalo wings, blue cheese, and celery. Very traditional and very good and usually, each component is served separately. But why not cut to the chase and combine all of those great flavors into one bite? Buffalo supreme wings do exactly that. Yeah, they’re messy to eat, but that’s part of the fun. And they do combine all the great classic tastes in bite after bite. You just cannot beat these wings!

Buffalo Supreme Wings

I really enjoyed chowing down on Buffalo supreme wings. They didn’t last long at all, that’s for sure. It was bordering on embarrassing, but I couldn’t help myself. That happens with me and wings a lot. I used the classic, Frank’s RedHot Original Cayenne Pepper Hot Sauce, but you can actually substitute your favorite.

You’re not going to need a dipping sauce for these wings. What could you possibly dip them in that would make them better? They’re already tossed in the best everything-in-it sauce ever!

Palace Sauce Lemon Pepper Wings

I am not one to click on ads on social media. Like most people, I scroll on, never even noticing. Except this time. I saw an ad for new (to me) wing sauces from a place called the Wing Palace out of Jacksonville, FL. The sauces looked absolutely yummy in the pics. I had to. So I did. I ordered two bottles of each of their flavors. Once they arrived I quickly made a batch of wings and tossed them with the lemon pepper sauce. My oh my oh my goodness me! What a great wing sauce! Not too lemony, not too peppery, but spot-on great! Think Buffalo wing sauce consistency, with that underlying butter flavor.

Palace Sauce Lemon Pepper Wings

Man, look at those wings and lemon pepper sauce. Yeah, they were good. Really good. I should hang a picture of those wings in my living room. Above the fireplace. They deserve to be seen as much as devoured!

Pick up some Palace sauces. You’ll never regret it.

Palace Sauce Cajun Ranch Wings

I ordered two bottles of each of their flavors. Once they arrived I quickly made a batch of wings and tossed them with the Cajun Ranch sauce. This sauce is thick and creamy, but not too much of either. It’s not really spicy, just flavorful. It’s finger-licking fantastic.

Palace Sauce Cajun Ranch Wings

As a big lover of all wing sauces, sweet, savory or spicy, I could not have been happier with the Palace Sauce Cajun Ranch wing sauce. And I can see using this sauce on a lot more than wings. It’d be great on as a dipping sauce for chicken fingers or nuggets. Or as a salad dressing. Or put it on a grilled chicken sandwich. Anywhere you use Ranch dressing (or mayonnaise for that matter), you should put Cajun Ranch wing sauce instead!

Meijer Bourbon Honey Mustard Wings

Is it possible for a bottled store-brand wing sauce to be too good? No, but Meijer Bourbon Honey Mustard wing sauce is about as good as you can get. All of the flavors are balanced and at just the right levels for me. Not too much bourbon flavor. Just the right honey sweetness. And the right mustardy vinegar kick. It’s different and delicious.

Meijer Bourbon Honey Mustard Wings

I contacted Meijer’s corporate office about the fact that I couldn’t find their Honey Bourbon wing sauce online. As of the time of this post they haven’t added it yet. So just head to your local Meijer and grab a bottle from the condiment section. While you’re there grab a few bottles of the other great Meijer wing sauces, like Caribbean Jerk.

Remember that if you have to refrigerate your open bottle of wing sauce to let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.

Joey Chestnut Sweet Sriracha Teriyaki Wings

Man, what a great wing sauce this is. When I first ran across a display of Joey Chestnut Sweet Sriracha Teriyaki wing sauce my first reaction was ‘now that’s definitely different’. I’ve tried a few of Joey’s (I hope I can call him Joey) wing flavors, and they’ve all been crazy good. This one is no exception. It goes on a bit thick, but not too thick. It’s a bit sweet, but a lot of that sweetness is tamed by Sriracha heat. Add in a hint of Asian-inspired goodness and you’ve got a wonderful combination of flavors. I’m a big fan of this sauce. Well, actually, I’m a fan of every one of the wing sauces from Joey Chestnut.

Taste Domination Hatch Pepper Wings

The entire line of Taste Domination wing sauces is amazing. They’re spot-on when it comes to flavor. And they’re perfectly thick but not too thick. They’re nicely spicy but not overly so. Taste Domination Hatch Pepper wings sauce is flat-out fantastic. This sauce is what good-ole Buffalo Wing sauce wishes it would grow up to be. It’s got a great southwestern vibe to it, and just enough heat to wake you up. It’s not over-the-top spicy but it does have a bit of a kick.

Taste Domination Hatch Pepper Wings

Taste Domination Hatch Pepper wings sauce isn’t just for wings. It’s fantastic for dipping shrimp. I like to drizzle it over fried chicken pieces. I’ve even mixed it with Ranch dressing and used it as a wing dipping sauce. It’s got the kick and flavors that I love. It’s definitely a favorite of mine.

Copycat Winger’s Wings

There are few things that make me happier than a big ole basket of wings. I consider wings to be the perfect lunch. The other day I cooked up a batch of wings and tossed them with a bit of homemade copycat Winger’s wings sauce. Perhaps one of the easiest wing sauces in existence, it packs a little heat and a little sweat. Fabulously addicting!

Copycat Winger's Wings

I wouldn’t mess around with the recipe for copycat Winger’s wings sauce. It’s meant to be straightforward. Nothing fru-fru. Just the perfect balance and consistency. No lakes of wing sauce at the bottom of the basket here!

You can adjust the sweetness to taste. I thought it was great as it is written below. Sometimes I like a little more sweetness to my wing sauce. Sometimes I want a little more heat.
